Thak you for uploading helpfull video James, as you shown up the PRV failed and water release from T&P Valve at 5:45 but i can not see any pipe has connected after isolation valve which you turned off at PRV valve, how does that water get access from T&P valve to tundish while turned isolation off ?
I had a megaflow tank installed 13 years ago and was not told that it would need to be serviced yearly. This year water started pouring through the immersion heater. I was told by the plumber this had happened because the "bubble' had not been restored regularly. My question is why was the excess pressure not released via the tun dish which I would have thought would have been an easier route for excess pressure. I only power the tank when I am heating water and had only heated the tank for 40 minutes when it failed.
Did you ever get this sorted sounds like what mine has done today and wanted to know if this means full replacement or just fix the pressure and then will be all good
Because mine had failed at the immersion heater, buckling it, I had to have a new immersion heater. It was a semi emergency and I paid 400 quid but that also included a new kitchen tap. The lesson I've learned is that you must get the tank regularly serviced by a qualified heating engineer to keep the tank properly adjusted. Hope this helps. Good luck.
