The Tiger 80 Lite, or Tiger Lite, is seriously a heavy hitter at it's price point. I was blown away with the aluminum version of it and the 'lite' plastic version is outstanding. I will say this though, it can realistically only be built only 1 or 2 ways with the PCB tape, but it's still nice they added that.
If you were in the market for a TKL keyboard and didn't want to break the bank, I do really recommend this.

Man I’m even MORE excited to get this board! I bought it about 2 weeks ago and I saw that they’ll begin to fulfill orders on the 15th, already prepping switches and thinking of what keycaps to get for it when it arrives 😁😁 Its my first keyboard too!

Why everybody started complaining about foam when before everyone was doing their own dampening mods and wanted keebs to come with foam as a standard, yeah sure some keebs can sound extremely muted with all the foam + silicone + POM/PC plate, but saying all foam is bad is just not how it works.

I come from a time where some of us were trying to dampen switches and hollow cases made of plastic and steel plates to get more muted results, so yeah it's a little funny how that reversed over time, then flip-flopped again a few times. To be fair, there are now many innovative and wild designs/materials and a ton more variables that can alter sound profiles (and the ability to achieve pleasing sounds to the owner's desires) so it makes sense. I've still got an old school modder mentality though and having all these custom foams available is a godsend for testing and shaping how I'd want a board to sound, depending on it's purpose. Usually that ends up being muted and deeper pitched if I can achieve it, since that's what I'm used to. It's kinda the same in the audio hobbyist community, some people reject physically modding speakers/headphones or using EQ for the same emotional reasons...to each their own :)

I got the Tiger 80 Lite a few weeks ago and it’s so worth it, especially for a first board. I feel like my Tiger 80 has much more character than my Keychron Q2, which I’ve modded. And I’m looking forward to trying different configs on my Tiger 80

Just bought tiger 80 lite, my first hotswap keeb after collecting bunch of soldered pcb keebs. Very very solid as an entry level, I like they include all components to build.

I bought this board and received it the other day. Man. I LOVE the board. It sounds amazing. Received the translucent green top and translucent white bottom and outfitted them with candy jade linear switches. Hated the stabilizers… replacing with durock v2. Other than that, a solid purchase. Oh, and I used ALL the foam.

I don't know if you've tried them but I highly recommend kailh box white v2 for clickies. The double click is something to get used to but I find the sound pleasant, where normally I would be annoyed by a repetitive click sound. It is smoother and deeper sounding when compared to some desoldered kailh box whites that I harvested from a gamer board

However, I think ClickieZ spoiled me for clicky switches. It's hard to imagine going to anything else for that clicky sound, though I'm curious about blackberries. Also, the ClickieZ are absurdly tactile, even in clicky mode. It's a little tiring on the fingers. I like how light the tactility is with the thin bar in box whites.

Yes. Usable when tuned properly but can be a headache.

Did you use the spacers that came with the board? The pcb is thin so you need those to make the stabilizers sit more securely.

@@dico8199 Agreed, a few people have tested it already. I've not seen tests or comparisons for the acrylic case version yet, however...I'd think aluminum top acrylic bottom would be awesome visually.
