Kong is indeed Kaiju Batman. Had to see his parents die in front of him, spent his life time to avenging those Skullcrawler who killed his kind, protects Skull Island from the outside world, doesn't like anyone who made a mess in his home.
All the talk about how kong was made and rendered into the movie really makes you appreciate the work CGI professionals do, we watch an hour maybe 2 of these creatures but it takes them months to even get those few hours of it.
@@Jeff-fe8rf as the tech gets better the demands grow. Theres a belief by many that CGI is an easy shortcut, but just like practical effects the application determines the work load.
And yet "die you muthaf*SQUISH*" was the response to "and I'm sure you've noticed, nature always wins." I was hoping for "LET THEM FIIIIIIGHT." Alls cool I love you guys, Niat kicks so much ass innocent people have trouble sitting down sometimes. Yes I'm extremely sober, and extremely drugged. As every good chronic illness patient should be. Really, though.... I bloody love you guys. This channel and crowd has saved my life many times, and that's pathetic, perfect, pure, and patronizing. Be well friends, truly. *smiles tired* Truly. Be well. And best luck.
Not true kong is nowhere near as impressive as Godzilla. He is a formidable fighter, I’ll give him that but I don’t think kong will stand a chance of beating kong.
2:24, the man is a genius did a good job to bring this new version of Kong to the big screen, and I want to thank INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC for bringing everyone's favorite big ape to life.
@@megaceratops6694 unlikely. He just doesn't care about the outside world and the other titans. No matter what alpha tries to rally him to its side Kong will just ignore it.
I wish they would have included more of the back story to Skull Island in the film, even just as exposition. It gives everything so much more character.
I think Kong has a chance i mean the last movie we can see him being smart enough to make weapons so it possible that Kong have a plan or something. Btw i think it might be true since Kong physique is more attributed to a chimpanzee which are the second smartest ape species and have been knowned to formulate plans for guerilla warfare against enemies
Yes i agree but lets face it on face value he has no chance without human interference so they need a good plot if they wanna make an interesting and not dumb movie with plot armor
I really like these, helps me with ideas for writing my own stuff. Good stuff, I'm not massively into sitting through movies but when lore is slapped across my face I inhale it. Thanks for making these, keep it up!
This movie shows how humble humans can be, how entitled humans can be and the struggle in between. Kong isn't a monster, the humans invading his island are.
@@Mikey4Yeshua For now. Humans have resilience and higher thinking to their advantage but if something like a whole army of Kongs were to decide to wage war on humanity, we'd probably be fucked.
I feel like in the movie Kong v Godzilla in the beginning they will clash a bit but then a new threat will be introduced can then Kong and Godzilla will have to team up
There's an ''eat your calcium'' moment *SPOILERS* _(he uses the handle of his axe and shoves it in Godzilla's mouth just like he did with a tree in the original)_
Air Force: A'ight. There is a giant stationary being ahead. We are in air based weaponized vehicles. What's the plan? Float around at distance and use our distance weaponry and artillery? Sam Jackson: Nah dawg. We gon fly right within its reach and just scream and maybe shoot a bit.
I know, right? They could've fought him from a mile out, and their transport heloes shouldn't've come within sight range! All they had to do was fly circles around him, and he would've had to retreat. They probably couldn't kill him, but wouldn't have lost so many.
@@Horseshoecrabwarrior staying at long range wouldn't have helped them as Kong can hurl objects at them and with someone with arms as big and powerful as Kong's he would throw faster than they can dodge and can use his tremendous speed and jumping abilities to close the distance fast . This makes it even worse by Kong being completely immune to conventional weaponry. If they didn't hurt him one bit from firing from so close a long range attack wouldn't have been any different
@@theonewhoismany8072 They could just fly higher than Kong could jump.and strafe to avoid thrown objects while targeting his eyes, ears, nose, and temples.
@@UncleMikeDrop that would have been useless. They would have been overwhelmed by Kong's sheer speed and remember Kong knows the island like the palm of his hand so they could have gotten into nasty traps. That's made even worse by Kong being unaffected by conventional weaponry even as an adolescent.
@@toolazyforaname Nothing he threw was moving so fast that a fully loaded Bell L-1 Huey could not dodge it. This is why the writers had their helicopters getting so ridiculous Li close and flying at such a ridiculously low altitude. It's the only thing that made it possible for a giant gorilla to swat them out of the sky and/or take them out with thrown objects. The slightest bit of logic makes any giant monster film scenario entirely untenable.
Kong: This is my island and I protect it from anything that tries to destroy it!!! Godzilla: I’m about to end this whole mans career and take his island
He's the last of his species. Or maybe not considering if the Hollow Earth theory completely proven, there's a good chance there's a hidden sanctuary for his Kong species deep below the Earth.
@@rogueascendant6611 yes exactly what I was going to say. I mean supposedly the Mutos were the last of their kind - granted they never said in the movie that they were- but you would assumed that they were. Until the King of the Monsters movie came out and there was a third Muto. And it's explained that there is still much to learn about the Earth so there maybe a possibility of another member of Kong's species. If there is then it will most likely be a female.
I always enjoy your videos which is why I have seen these videos even though I wasn’t a fan Kong: skull island. I liked the King Kong movie from 2005. But I’m slowly coming around to the totally née and different perspective on King Kong. Even though I really liked the animals featured in the 2005 movie, the skull crawlers were a formidable foe to King Kong. I think what I also think would of helped is if there would of been a sequel to skull island before Godzilla vs Kong. Godzilla was very nicely explored and the whole mystery behind the titan which finally reveals himself later in the movie in the 2014 Godzilla movie made a great introduction to the titan. I think that’s what was missing from Kong: skull island. They just threw him in there with no mystery behind the titan. And even though the 2005 movie King Kong had the same basic storyline as the 1933 film, the anticipation and mystery and final the reveal of the titan is what really did it for me in the 2005 movie. But alas they took a different path. Maybe exploring King Kong’s background, maybe as a prequel where we get to see his past, the war between the skull crawlers and the Kongs, even if we know the outcome, it would be a great way to give King Kong a more rich story that is seen on film rather than to leave it to a comic that won’t be advertised by the movie company and so it won’t be read by the casual viewer. That would make more sense to me and give King Kong his story to make him a better character in this monster verse
Well, not exactly accurate, but in the good direction - They didn't fight on skull island - Fights of Godzilla vs Kong were throughout the movie, not just the 1st half - It wasn't Mecha Ghidorah
Sayaka a trustworthy source and toy leaks revealed that: "Mechagodzilla is the ultimate villan of the film. The final battle between him, Kong and Godzilla takes place in Hong Kong amidst neon lights at night pacific rim style Mechagodzilla resembles his showa design with lots of destructive weapons" Ghidorah's severed head has rotted and is now mostly bones. It's kept in the apex laboratory. Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla share a link. " We know from the end credits that Monarch was building a mechanised giant on Skull Island. Thats Mechagodzilla who was constructed to help Kong uphold the balance on the island. The rival organisation Apex wich is hand in hand with Jonah and the ecoterorists steal Mechagodzilla equip it with Kevin's brain and the Orca and broadcasts Godzilla's alpha frequency making the other titans flock around the island disguise it as Godzilla and make it rampage around the world giving the government the reason to proceed with terminating the titans. Mechagodzilla attacks Kong and sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course born from them misunderstanding the other as a threat.
Who else is getting ready for King Kong vs Godzilla if you're Kong fans leave a comment and if you're Godzilla fans leave a like we'll see who will really Win 👍
Kerron Edwards It’s not a fair trial - it takes more effort to comment so naturally there’ll be more likes... buuutt obviously Godzilla would fuck Kong in his monkey ass
@FilmComicsExplained ty for the videos. I especially enjoy these Monsterverse explored/explained ones. Could you please do Queen MUTO, Methuselah, Behemoth & Scylla? Maybe even the graphic novel titans
Yeah this Kong and the 2005 virgin still my favorites but the 1933 it still iconic I'll I got her monsters you know the one Mas querido may come back is the beast from 20,000 fathoms I know I mentioned that
at first the idea that kong was a colossal titan sounded absurd to me but seeing it from the kaiju point of view it looks sensational, the version of peter jackson is unique and great but the one of kong is intriguing and is attached to the universe of the imposing kaijus, it is interesting how the biology of the great monsters develops and how the unlimited imaginations are explored, relating them to how it would happen in an everyday context. I love that context because it gives it a touch of pure and realistic fantasy
I agree, they're most likely gonna team up at some point. One of the reasons is that if 1 would have to win, It would almost certainly be Godzilla, but there are a lot of Kong fans who wouldn't like that, so the best outcome would be that none of them lose and after battling for some time they team up to right MechaChidorah (probably spelt it wrong)
