He is respected and loved as evident by his interactions with teammates. And he can stand up when needed also . Finally he will “turtle up” and take a beating by kassian to give his team a power play. Unlike Marchand who takes penalties.

Next time they matched up (video link in NHL Videos for kids reply below) Ratchuk fought Dumba in retaliation. Dumba tore a pectoral muscle during the fight and missed the remainder of the season. wow! Nice comment and yeah I agree. However I do think that these guys are people who you want on your team because they annoy others so much. And yeah I agree they're dirty but hey at least they can score too! They are pretty much Tom Wilson but with fewer hits

@@thebestofhockey8684 I agree to some extent, but there are a lot of gritty players that don't make that amount of dirty plays. As a team mate, I would be much more willing to stand up for, say, Tomas Holmström or Matthew Barnaby than the Tkachuk brothers, simply because Matthew Tkachuk (for instance) deservedly gets himself into trouble by opting for plays like elbows to the head or cross-checking someone who's down on the ice (both in the video). He's still your team mate and you have the code and other obligations to get involved if he triggers a line brawl or gets jumped, but I'd much rather fight someone over a team mate's clean, hard hit than over a nasty, unnecessary whack from behind that could easily have been avoided. That being said, they both have huge potential, I just wish they'd be a little less careless. Great video nevertheless!
