Im going to miss Jamal in Detroit. He also comes out before the games and plays catch with kids in the stands. Hes never injured, never fumbles, and gets you the tough yards when you need them. Best of luck in New Orleans my dude.
As someone who is a Georgia fan and has followed pretty much all of Chubb’s career, his story is so inspiring. He came back from one of the worst injuries seen on live television ever to continue to dominate at Georgia and then in the NFL.
Yeah also a Georgia fan and I feel like he would have been even better than he is now if that injury didn’t happen but who knows sometimes people can get more motivated after something like that happens
I'm a Georgia Tech fan, and while I hated when we played against Chubb, he's honestly a really good story and i can't hate him anymore now that he's no longer terrorizing the front 7.
Holy shit, I had never even heard of that injury before I read this. That injury is up there with the worst. For those of you out there who haven't seen it, search it.
The thing I love about Ekeler is that he's basically a third down back that is so good at it that his numbers rival or surpass every down backs. Also a huge underdog story since he went undrafted.
Jalen Hurts deserves at least a mention. A laser focused powerlifter that just finished his damn master's degree in his free time and is always hunting for community outreach opportunities is definitely a role model player.
My mention for "not playing anymore" selection deals with Larry Fitzgerald. Dude took the time to talk to my grandfather while he was recovering from chemo in AZ out in public. Didn't know anything about our family. Didn't know anything about my grandfather/mother before that. Just 3 human beings having a nice time together out of nowhere. Found out my grandfather was basically making himself a medical guinea pig for the next generation when it came to cancer treatments. Later when he was in Seattle for his treatment at UW he came up to meet Grandpa since he was in area. He just REMEMBERED my grandfather despite only meeting him once months apart and was like hey, I'll just check up on him at that hospital he mentioned way back when. My grandfather has long passed, but the memory of that selflessness remains.
I am a Chiefs fan and agree on the Jason Kelce and George Kittle picks. I started liking Kittle after the Super Bowl LIV mic'd up video and enjoy seeing him since while every Chiefs' fan favorite non-Chiefs' player is probably Jason Kelce. We are going to need a Wrestlemania match one day involving Travis Kelce, Kittle, and Gronk.
As someone who has met Justin Herbert at a football camp and been a ducks fan for years, he is a very funny guy who always takes people into consideration. He is an amazing person from the few times I have met him and talked to him once. Awesome guy.
i’d personally have to add josh allen to the list, man’s a golden retriever who is constantly saying movie quotes and giving love for his teammates, does a whole lot for the city of buffalo too, but i do agree with this list lol
Nailed it with Jamaal. He is definitely missed in Green Bay. Loved his dancing, playing catch with fans in warmups, and his press conferences. "Ask me about Naruto. Politics? No idea. But any anime questions, I'm here." And he means it. lol
Before New Heights, Jason’s personality really only showed through during the Super Bowl parade. His Instagram used to be run by someone else, and his bio said “I hate Instagram and all related forms of media.” The podcast really brought him out of his preverbal shell to the fans of the other 31 teams in the league
I am from Maryland, and have had the chance to meet Justin Tucker, and honestly he’s never let the fact that he probably is the best kicker ever get to his head, he was so humble and he was exited to sign everything, when sometimes I will find players who just hate to even have a fan interaction
Even as a Cowboys fan, that shot of Kittle shifting his eyes back and forth during the Divisional round when the camera got a smile and laugh out of me.
I don’t blame you for not putting him, but Jordan Mailata should definitely be here. He’s a hilarious gentle giant, and could probably retire and become a singer if he wants.
As a UGA grad who had a class with Nick Chubb, i can attest the dude is the most down to earth guy I ever met. And honestly so quiet and withdrawn he almost comes across as shy. But the guy could be hillarious in class, professional and always courteous, but hillarious, like subtly putting Dragon Ball references in a term paper. All in all, he might be one of the most likable people I have met in person. He just has this aura about him that even if you arent in his close knit group, you cant help but be like, yeah, that dude there, he's a good guy.
I live in chubbs home town in georgia and I’m incredibly amazed with how involved he is in the community. During offseason and even during the season he’ll come to the highschool and talk with the kids and all that stuff. Truly an amazing guy
I LOVE JAMAAL WILLIAMS. I got to meet him at a BYU football camp when I was around 11 or so and the whole time he was laughing tryna hype us up in one on one’s cracking jokes about the high schoolers and I also got a signed football from him such a fun guy
Even though I’m a lions fan and he kicked the longest kick ever in a game against us which wouldn’t have happened if the refs new how to call delay of game when the game clock had been on zero for 3 entire seconds I still like Justin tucker
I hate we got rid of Jamal. Dude was such an amazing football player on and off the field. Any number of interviews or mic’d up and you instantly just love the guy.
I think Aiden Hutchinson has gotta be on this list. He’s got dance moves, a secret handshake for every member of his defense, and his rendition of Billy Jean on Hard Knocks was amazing
I do love how some lineman are down to Earth, but one center stands out to me. Panther's starting center Bradley Bozeman. Dude seems to be so humble and so grounded. My parents actually met him accidentally in Alaska this weekend. They both were on the same boat going to fish for salmon. They got a few laughs, and my parents said that he was very humble.
Tyler Lockett! From choreographing td celebrations to shouting out his middle school in an introduction video he’s a super funny dude who’s got some underrated hands!
Not having Jalen Hurts on this list is crazy. The dude oozes coolness + a freaking stadium nearly collapsed on him and he just helped everybody up and took pictures with them. Not to mention all of his badass quotes from interviews!
I absolutely love Austin Ekeler specifically for fantasy football. The first year i played I traded Zeke for him and he went off . Anytime he is on the board when I am on the clock I'm taking him.
I am glad the Kelce bros and Joe Borrow are on this list. I think Jalen Hurts has a case here. He is very likable since he has the underdog story from his benching at bama to a top 3 QB.
I think you forgot Aaron Rodgers. I just admire how much he loves his family and the people around him. Also how drug free he is just blows me away sometimes.
Bran is a Patriots fan, so that’s kind of a tall order. Although I do agree with the Henry take. Dude carries 5 guys 60 yards to the house and then hands the ball back to the ref.
@averyandmason8839 How is Josh Allen a crybaby? Dude takes all the blame on himself whenever the Bills lose. And he dusts himself off and gets back on the field the next week
My beloved Eagles were as great as they were this past year thanks in large part to the amazing locker room we had. You could fill half a list with Eagles if you wanted everyone else to hate you 😂 a few: - Jalen Hurts: incredible work ethic and character. Last year his talent matched his personality. - Jason Freaking Kelce, nuff said. - Brandon Graham went from near "draft bust" to tied for longest tenured Eagle EVER. WPMOY nominee too. - Jordan Mailata went from Australian rugby to pro bowl LT and should absolutely sing with Justin Tucker. - Devonta Smith is a true technician of the game and has the mental tools to be successful long after his NFL career is over. The O-line made a freaking charity Christmas album on the path to the super bowl how could you not love these guys
Yeah, following our Eagles, you can't help but like a lot of these players. The social media team has done a great job of showcasing their personality. The fact that almost all get along is indicative of how likable these players are. 🦅🦅🦅
As a dolphins fan, Wilkins is an awesome player, and as a football fan, Jamal Williams is just that fun personality that is even a fun player to watch. Awesome list
If you like the Kelce podcast, I'd recommend "Necessary Roughness" with TJ Lang and John Janson. Mostly Lions stuff, but a lot of really good insights into the O-line
My NFL player that I love for no good reason is Jabril Peppers I don't know much about him personally but he turned into the cornerstone of my defense when I did a Madden rebuild of the colts and honestly the amount of plays he made just made me love him
so fun fact about the player intros during the Sunday night game but because the lions had no primetime games, the Sunday night crew didn't have any player intros and had to film them all on Friday right after their walk through making it so they had to rush through them. Dan Campbell just told the guys they can say anything they want as long as they said their name hence why Taylor Decker said "THE" or Rodrigo saying "Barry Sanders University". Mike Tirico had a whole interview about it on the local Detroit sports radio channel, The Ticket, and its really interesting.
Great list and im sure there are many many honorable mentions here but i would like to throw adam theilen into the list. dude has a beautiful story after being undrafted and now he runs a charity, not to mention his mic'ed up videos are half him going around motivating his teamates as best he can. absalutely awesome human being
Next we want the top 10 most overhated players in the NFL. Like it's always surprising how much hate a guy like Lamar Jackson got his whole career for no reason at all. Just like a bunch of other guys.
Jamall Williams and Mike Daniels were two Packers that we lost to the Lions that really hurt to see go. As for a player who isn’t playing anymore - Andrew Luck always made me laugh the way he orchestrated himself on the field, genuinely wanting the big guys to bring their best at him and complimenting them on a good sack, etc.
I'm going to do a ranking of QBs who've started at least three games in the 2023 seaosn based on good I think they'd be at Survivor. So... thanks for this video, it genuinely helps a bit.
I’m a Vikings fan but Jamall Williams is my favorite RB he’s very nice and during a game I went to he took time out of his warm up to pass the ball to some kids including me
Look into Jordan Mailata from the Eagles. Didn’t play football until a few years ago, definitely has the Australian sense of humor, great, singing, voice, and an overall good guy
As an eagles fan, obviously I would’ve loved to see Hurts, but MAN I gotta give a shoutout to Brandon Graham and Jordan Mailata. Graham is the funniest trash talker on the team and Mailata is absolutely hilarious (and an insanely good singer too)
As a Charger/BYU fan and someone who always has Chubb on their fantasy team (because he is always the best value), this list makes me happy. Also, I know you have to limit the number of Chargers, but after listening to a lot of Joey Bosa, he is also really hard to not like.
Great list... really can't argue with it much at all. From an outsider's perspective, I feel like Jamaal Williams was a great choice for #1. I know that some people believe this list cannot be complete without certain individuals like Sauce Gardner, Jalen Hurts, Matt Stafford, Aidan Hutchinson to name a few, but if anything this exercise is refreshing to know that the league is in a great place full of genuinely good people!
6:11 Ahhhh, Jamaal is an awesome choice! Love this guy so much! I’d put AJ Dillon on the list as well; hard-working, supports his teammates, loves his family, always giving back to the community, and very humble.
Came here looking for this. I don’t know he much of the local love is carried over nationally, but AJ being named mayor of Door County should count for something. He’s also an active game streamer.
As a die hard Bengals fan. I went to the week 18 game against the Ravens. He was such an awesome guy no matter who you rooted for he would shake your hand and sign an autograph. I’m such a Tucker fan, unless they play us 😂😂
Want to say Brock Purdy is pretty high up there for me. I’m a little biased cause I’m a niner fan, but going last overall in the draft and making the team as the third string qb to starting and leading the team to a nfc championship game is an amazing story period.
I feel like he doesn't get the respect he deserves in my mind. Dude is phenomenal and as a fan of the running game more then the pass, I will always find time to watch Browns football as a non-Browns fan just to see him. He's great.
I’m glad Kittle made the top 3, he’s my second favorite player behind only Bosa, and it’s cuz he’s just always having the best time. Hell, my mother-in-law and I call him the buffest cheerleader on our Niners. In a good way.
You should look into some of Shaquille Leonard's mic'ed up moments. He's a pretty goofy and fun lovin' dude too. And I know he isn't playing anymore, but what are your thoughts on Andrew Luck?
I did not know you were a wrestling fan. Bro wrestling is the best and honestly that just made you jump up like forty five points in my book. Thanks for the amazing content keep it up!!!!!
I used to do Color Guard for Browns games. Obviously, I love Chubb. But I was on the sidelide during pregame and Williams was playing catch with the fans in the stands, even threw me one. But seems like a very nice dude. Chubb is still #1 to me. Lol
