I use the RTI screen all the time, as a wide "overview". I put it in flat mode, not 3D, and I have it permanently zoomed out to 3 miles, or sometimes 1.5 miles. The reason for this is because it shows me all the traffic jams around the area using the Traffic feature. Give it a try. I do lots of long distances and I use Tomtom and Waze to navigate, but having a wide overview which shows where all the traffic jams are is also really useful.
Great stuff again bud . l thought my doors were fucked because I wasn't doing what you did .I didn't lock all doors from the inside first ,so when I got out to lock the car up with the key I was only locking the driver's door ( did feel a bit stupid myself for not thinking about it myself),I was made up this morning when I tried it and it worked .thanks again for helping me with my car, but I still would like to see you to do your transmission oil change, i bet it will end up your best video yet .
After the V8 engine my favorite features are hands down the adaptive cruise control, lane warning and massaged seats. They make a long drive so incredibly easy while all you have to do, is check your phone 😉 The seats in gerenal though are absolutely amazing and have been for decades at Volvo. Interestingly though since my current P3 S80 I seem to have lost my lower back ache for almost a year now when I drive it at regularly.
I injured my back about 10 years ago and I've had 2 operations to remove prolapsed disks and it' is true that I always feel a lot more comfortable when driving my Volvo than any other car and I drive a lot of other vehicles as part of my job .
I use the electric tailgate on my V70 every day. Mikes it all so easy. Once you arrive at your car, it’s open. Once you’re behind the wheel, it’s closed again
I like the way that as soon as the temperature dips (below 6C i think), my Volvo kicks in auto-warm and defrosting! Auto cruise is the other thing I use a lot (on long journeys). I haven’t figured out how to reduce headlight washing though! Seems nearly every time I screen wash/wipe the windscreen….the headlight spray comes on!
Could you please explain in a video how to input a simple destination in the Volvo SatNav ? Mine seems to go round in circles with options such as "City" and "All Cities" etc. Inputting a postcode (my usual means of setting a destination) seems to be permissible only under the "City" page ! The voluminous handbook for the SatNav does not help at all. My car is a 2010 XC60 D5awd.
Can the tilt mirror feature be adjusted? When I use it the mirrors tilt down and insofar that the only thing I see is the vehicle doors themselves and nothing on the ground. So for me the future is useless.
One of the worst features is the rather poor visibility of the speedo register, being a red non illuminated needle on a black background. Not instantly readable in some light conditions.
@@SergejA1 Thanks for your concern & thoughts. Unfortunately the ill considered feature is apparent to me, or not as the case to others may be,, 24/7 depending on light conditions. Admittedly being of the older generation my valid driving sight isn’t what it was. The small digital km/he display on the optional menu is easier discern if one can make a rapid conversion. Undoubtedly the 2013/14 digital dash mod was sorely needed. Fortunately I have come across an App for my phone giving me a large digital mph display.
