I'm at the "homes with feelings" part and I think I figured it out. It's not as complicated as people are making it sound. They're friends with benefits. That's it. They're friends with benefits, one of them (probably her, based on her reactions) wants to make it serious and permanent, and the other person doesn't. The engagement stressed out the unwilling partner, while the willing partner got stressed about the other being stressed.

He just wanted all the benefits of a relationship without being in one, I have followed her for a long time and you can tell she genuinely cared for him

You are right this is toxic. And it’s infuriating to watch the girl cause everything she says is contradictory. But you have it backwards. The guy does NOT have feelings for her. And he is sending mixed messages constantly, which is why she gets more and more manic in these videos, while also the entire time trying to fit her mega feelings for this guy into the definitions he has predetermined as “best” and “healthy” for both of them. I guarantee you this lady has been gaslit to hell and back and feels absolutely crazy all the time, and then is also made to feel like out of the two she is the crazy one and needs help, and the dude is pretending like he isn’t the one who is making her feel that way. It’s emotional abuse. If you have a friend, and their relationship looks like this, especially when one is constantly explaining how great the other person is, while the other person seems almost indifferent to their being together… that friend is in a highly emotionally manipulative relationship. And it is almost damn near impossible to help you’re friend see that. So my prayers go to the girl and her mental health, and the guy should just straight walk off a cliff.

I feel for Salah. I was manipulated by a guy I developed feelings for and it was a total situationship, one of those where you tell yourself “yeah we’re not officially together but we have a sort of unspoken understanding”. Essentially I knew we weren’t in an actual relationship but thought he had genuine affectionate feelings for me like I did for him. We slept together a lot and he constantly brought up how he didn’t want a relationship, and I would say “yeah I know, me too, that’s fine”. Then one day he tells me he just got in an actual official relationship with someone in his shared house and I didn’t hear from him since. That really hurt me. I genuinely thought we were actually friends. Took a long time to realise he was using me for sex and putting up with my ‘friendship’ just for the sex.

I usually say the “friendzone” doesn’t really exist (because as a concept it’s just pure entitlement), but actually… I think this is it, I think we found the real one.

This gives actual man-woman friendships an incredibly bad name. Heck, this gives ANY kind of friendship a bad name. This is NOT a friendship. If I, a straight woman, did what they did as “friends” to my straight female friend, she’d be creeped out and I’d be super uncomfortable! Friends don’t do this. Ugh I feel so much for Salah. I got sucked into one of these - I went on a date with a guy and was like IMMEDIATELY head over heels. I just thought he was the coolest, hottest guy on earth and he figured out what I ~liked~ really quickly so of course there was that. He’d talk about moving in together, names of our future babies, how fast he was falling for me. I was on cloud 9, thinking that I’d met my match finally! He cooked for me, cuddled me, slept over at my house, walked my dog, actually listen to me, all the boyfriend things. I talked to him about how I was ready to take the next step - be exclusive with him. He gave me some lines about “wanting to see where it goes” without the “pressure of a label.” Then he went radio silent. FOR A MONTH. I was heartbroken but chose to get back out there and try again - I wanted a husband and a family, and I wasn’t getting any younger. After that month, he showed back up, telling me he wanted to try again but with different boundaries. I agreed - the boundaries being that I could go on dates while he tried to make up his mind, and if he lost me, he lost me. Unfortunately for him, I met someone I liked almost as much, but who pursued me heavily - actual dates, planned in advance, and like all the gentlemanly things like pulling my chair out and stuff. Situationship guy wanted to ~come over~ but I told him I couldn’t because I had a date, and he got so upset - saying that he didn’t want to compete and that he wasn’t comfy with me “actively looking to give my heart away” I remember bursting into tears reading that text because I felt like I was the one who had to compete for his time, and I had offered my heart to him and he’d said no!! There’s a part of me that deeply wishes the first guy and I had worked out but I deserve someone who wants a family with me, and he didn’t…not really. Sorry to vomit all that, I guess I was triggered 🥲😅😅

okay as someone who has been in one of these godawful situationships before, allow me to shed some light on the subject: these two are/were in a toxic relationship. when they were “together” officially, their boundaries went absolutely haywire and they become toxic and resentful. so their idea of a “band aid solution” to prevent these problems was to not be together *officially* but to still agree to not date anyone else and do all the relationship things. This NEVER works, because the boundaries make no sense, and one is always left dissatisfied/ left wanting more if not both parties. eventually it becomes too painful to handle, and the breakup is painful and confusing. this girl on tiktok seems fine on the surface, but long-term toxic relationships make you a good pretender.

She explains her situation like we are best friends. I’m so concerned about how much she shares on the internet. Like these types of delusional thoughts are usually shared over FaceTime with my friends ,and not for thousands to see.

What I'm getting from this "couple" is Theo probably has serious commitment issues, whilst Sa on the other hand, actually wants to be with him. But probably realizing that she has a higher chance of finding the cure for cancer, than being in an actual relationship with him. She decides to "settle" for what she thinks is ideal. Just from the way she's speaking about her being "heartbroken", or they've broken up, and he can "marry" her but not date her alone tells you her true feelings.
