Well done triumph! This vid put a smile on my face (actually a good laugh or two especially the smart input about the bikes ability to change direction in an instant......brill ) Anyway true British humour with maybe a touch of pythonism thrown in for good measure. Right time for a cuppa!
As itsFiggers has said, if you are lookin' to get into cruisers, the Rocket 3 is the go-to bike. You could spend more on a decked out rice burner, and especially on a Harley, and not have nearly the engine or the handling this bike offers. I had an 1100 cruiser of Japanese make, and I felt like I had to MAKE it do everything. With the Rocket 3, all you do is think of what you are doing, and start the action. The bike takes over from there. it is a miracle bike!
It's more Douglass Adams in the style of his 'Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy' but Yes I miss the Pythons and those other politically incorrect British comedians.
It may only do a quarter in 12... But if you want something to eat up the miles in comfort, and still have the grunt there to pull overtakes as and when you need it, and a little bit of fun thrown in too, then the 3 is better than any BMW/Hardly Ableson/Pan European I can think of. You want a quarter in under 12? Go buy a rice rocket and sit head down, arse up all day and feel like you have pedalled the whole thing there and back at the end of the ride.......
Classic...but why the hell do they only run 12's on the quarter?...Smarten up Triumph, I wanna get one, and it might as well have 200 horse...it's torque should have it pace the superbikes, ....BUT IT DOESN'T!...offer a gasket .05 mm smaller, or taller 3rd. ...sheesh...I don't wanna Monty Python Bike ...[do I?]..thx
You sure could - how boring that would be. Some (most) just don't get the fun and sense of freedom a motorcycle brings to living... they belong in cars.
