Yea people don't put such labels like "beginner" to cars. Not all cars are made for competitive riding. Probably 99.9% of people buy motorcycles just to casually drive around not push to the max on a complex track. This kind of labeling just keeps persisting for some reason.

My only concern is the physical size. I am 6’ 4” with a 34” inseam and I would almost be willing to cut my feet off to fit on this comfortably. It’s definitely gonna be this or an SV for my first bike

In about a year from now i'll most likely be upgrading from my Yamaha R3. I absolutely love my choice for first motorcycle. The Trident is definitely on my list. I would like to see the new MT 09 in person. I have a few shops within an hour that carry Yamaha and Triumph. Cannot wait!

Love this look at the trident, it looks absolutely amaizing. However there is another bike entering this class (ish) whiich is the Aprillia RS660. do you think they will compare? Both are made for the street, the only difference being the fairings at first glance.

@@WyreForestBiker im thinking he means the tuono version thats kind of been announced? I was thinking the same thing while Yams was talking. Saying a bike youve never ridden is the king of the class is kind of crazy - especially with Aprilias eventual naked. Might as well say that THAT is the king of the class just based off what we know of the RS660.

If they do a naked rs660 it will be worth every penny. It will have power it will have torque. And it will have quality suspension.

got get an insurance quote in the usa , thats a yearly fee you MUST PAY by law every year. after 4 years of ownership its cheaper in vietnam. Vietnam is expensive up front but long term because you aren't obliged to buy insurance its cheaper in vietnam long term. My cousin in california is paying 2800$ a year with zero history of accidents or tickets. imagine paying that every year for 10 years

Please note how Triumph has hidden the tank’s pinch-weld; brilliant. Now, if they could only do the same on their retro/classic models . . .

@UncleWally3

@@RichardsModellingAdventures Right you are; Triumph has also done it on their new Rocket 3 and T120 Scramblers. That said, BSA, Ariel, and heritage Triumphs rarely produced tanks with exposed pinch-welds. And, if they did, owners used to pound and grind them out of sight. The more recent trend to mass produce cheap exposed pinch-weld tanks is an unfortunate cost saving measure. In the opinion of many, the cost is greater than the saving; it makes the product look like a cheap looking tin-toy.

So far the king of the 600 class is indeed the MT-07, they sold only in Europe since the begginning more then 88000 MT-07's. And to be honest they do need some competition and I also agree their competition is going to be this Triumph no doubt. The 3 cylinder engine is going to be great. the market just become more competitive.

Being a small bike, not to sure it would be one to be comfortable for somebody 6'2" and medium build? Have mod 2 booked for just after new year, and looking into bikes for once that's passed. So far, MT07 or SV650 or this one. But this one looks so small, might be a little cramped to ride after a while?
