Well... if alicorns are some shprt of "Frankenstein monster" that Starswirl created, then Discord can also be one of these experiements. The difference, though, is the way his supposed creator (or other ponies) treated him... it's much easier to consider two pretty alicorns as godly, while a chaotic Draconequus, a "mistake". And following the "Frankenstein's Monster" logic, you know the rest. The creator abandones his "unperfect" creation without reflecting the consequences of such action. Discord never had a friend before Fluttershy, and it was her act of kindness that turned him into a better pe... I mean, Draconequus.

@@mieshocked1450 Funny you should mention Frankenstein; there was a scene from Universal’s version of Frankenstein where Boris Karloff meets a ten-year-old girl, and we expect him to be outright hostile towards her, but instead he’s very friendly and affectionate towards the girl. Kinda like with Discord and Fluttershy.

well a) it was early on when not all details are important because not everything is decided and b) she was younger, as the series goes on you see she gets taller and a flowy mane. twilight goes through the exact same thing at the end of the series

One thing I'm thinking is, Luna and Celestia had no offspring, and neither did Twilight. So, it seems Cadence was the first Alicorn to ever have one. So that most likely is a major factor.

Why I think flurry heart was born a alicorn. From what we know to become a alicorn you must create new magic and/or do a good deed to prove if your worthy. This can actually apply to flurry heart even when she was born as a alicorn. Let’s put it in perspective shall we? When flurry heart was born she had already done a good deed and creating new magic. How and why you may ask? Well, for the good deed - she was born between the two new rulers of the crystal empire ( princess cadence and shinning armor) why this counts as a good deed is because with a new birth of new rulers would spread hope upon thousands of ponies if she was alicorn or not. For her creating new magic she seems to created magic of “crystals”. Ever since she was born she’s been linked to crystals and the crystal heart. The crystaling, her being able to somehow destroy and recreate the crystal heart and etc. Her future actions and destiny can speak for the reason that she was alicorn. Plus it doesn’t hurt to add that cadence is the only alicorn to give birth from what we know. But after all it’s just a hunch, so take this theory with a grain of salt 😄

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT WATCHED LATER VIDEOS now its proven that in order to be an alicorn you have to absorb magic from all ponies, and this can be genetic, as cadence possessed magic from all ponies and passed it to flurry heart, Celestia and Luna earned it from rising and lowering the sun and the moon and absorbing the appreciation and celebration from all the ponies, and twilight got it from finishing starswirl's book resulting in the elements blasting her with their magic Oh an cozy glow used grogar's bell which had magic from all tribes: earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi

Her future actions doesn't mean she can be an alicorn just like that. For example, if the universe had planned for cadance and twilight to be princesses [canon events, as in, it was already known that supposedly, flurry would have done good deeds] that have done good deeds, they should have been born alicorns. Everypony expected flurry to be a unicorn/pegasus. There was a small guarantee that flurry wouldn't even be a princess so I find your very well planned out theory to be false.

I think the theory was good at first and if starswirl did invent it then the vid’s theory focused on the magic (as he didn’t know much about friendship) so he made a spell for celestia and Luna. However, for twilight and cadence, I think they did what sunny did in G5. No, not making a speech or anything, more of friendship from all tribes and stuff because that’s what happened when the friendship heart was formed.

Applejack said in season four,in the episode castle mania she says “when nightmare moon was vanished a little bit of her darkness took over Stygian turning him into the pony the pony of shadows” but that isn’t true cause the pillars and the pony of shadows were in limbo before nightmare moon’s defeat,so let’s say instead of the pony of shadows being turned after the defeat of nightmare moon,Stygian’s darkness was still in equestria and makes effects on Luna cause she is jealousy of her sister and is the one who lowers the moon.this is still a misunderstanding mystery to me and fans,but we will figure it out.

going hand in hand with this theory of combining the three pony magic, that of the earth, the pegasi and unicorns, it makes sense to me that flurry was born an allicorn Celestia and Luna gained loved and admiration since theyre the rulers of equestria, Cadence there’s no canon event so I won’t exactly comment on her, although I’m sure with her power of being able to spread love, she also gained the same love and admiration as celestia and luna Twilight gained love and admiration really slowly, she first gained the trust of her friends, then the important people, like the mayor, then the entire ponyville.. But again, the love theory does make sense here as well Flurry heart was born with the same love and admiration as all the other princesses because, well shes the first princess baby, of course people are going to look up to that little baby.. The love and admiration gained by all the four princesses could also be another reason why each one is a ruler.. Why I mentioned love and admiration, is because who all were the supporters of these four princesses? All types of ponies, earth pegasi and unicorns, which united these three together creating another allicorn, Flurry Heart

Yes but here's the thing, flurry heart being born an allacorn makes sense because out of all the princesses, Candence was the only princess to reproduce. The rest of the princesses didn't have children. Cadence's allacorn genes were more dominant than shining armour's unicorn genes therefore, flurry heart was born as an allacorn

Cadence is at least 1k years old, because Tirek knew of her existence. Furthermore, Luna wasn’t just meeting Cadence when she visited the Crystal Empire. You would think that Luna wouldn’t know who Cadence was after her 1k year banishment, but they seem to know each other, *proving* that Cadence is at least 1k years old.

When the both princesses luna and Celastia's magic was in the bell of chaos then you can see that there hairs wasn't floating. This leads that the hairs of the old princesses float with magic and thanks to the describers of friendship and discord because if hairs work from magic age should also be controlled by magic so the princesses can die from old age if they both don't got there magic back instantly.

But wouldn't starlight become a alicorn because she created a spell to transform twilight's palace into her and sunburst's old play house and an age spell or transform her and sunburst into children. It was a scroll and she also used starswirl's scroll to go back in time and she "altered it", as described by her and twilight. Wouldn't that be na impressive enough princess worthy display? This has like nothing to do with the vid lol but I think I’ve divided the main six into duos. When I began my process of dividing them,I looked at similarities and elements. I soon realized it would never be able to connect equally. I never put in opposites. Applejack and rarity were opposites in fashion (you know what I mean) pinkie and flutter shy, pinkie is extrovert, and flutter shy is introvert. Lastly, twilight and rainbow dash. Twilight is like a bookworm, while rainbow dash couldn’t care less. This is a random comment btw. Nothing with the vid.

I don't know if somepony created alicorns, but i think that "creating a new magic" or "doing a princess-worthy deed" is not the only thing needed to become an alicorn. Because when you think about it; the pillars used to raise the sun and the moon or just Rainbow Dash made a sonic rainbow, she made the impossible! Or our super powerful pony Starlight or Sunburst who repaired the Christal Hearth... But why didn't they become alicorns? I think there is one more thing required here: Leadership. To me, the magic kind of knows who the next leaders should be. Just think about it; have we every seen an alicorn that isn't ruling at some point? Maybe you'd say Flurry Hearth, but in the finale, Twilight says "she's(flurry hearth) Equestria's last hope if we fail." It is certain to me that she is fated to rule.

If you watched the last mlp episode noticed how Twilight also got a flowing mane so i think if you are an alicorn as time pass you start getting stronger magic and your height also change so i think once you have enough alicorn magic you get a flowing mane so I think Twilight and Cadence just don't have enough alicorn magic to get a flowing mane.

I think i know the thing about the flowy hair. So in the start of the show when luna was reformed luna didn't have any flowy hair and later on the show she started to have flowy hair that's probably cuz she was young when she was reformed and later on the show when she grew older she got flowy hair that obviously explains why twilight has flowy hair in the future we can see in the last episode of mlp twilight had flowy hair and by looking at the other main 6 i can tell she's in her early 30's (i think) so here's my theory when alicorns get older instade of having normal hair the get flowy hair well that rlly doesn't explain why luna got flowy hair after fricking 1000 years later in fact she had flowy hair before she was sent to the moon so about this i guess her hair stopped flowing in the moon and turned back how it use to be ig idk

Are we forgetting in the comics that that was a "generations" series which implied multiple universes too? Starswirl actually exists as a character in previous mlp generations and it proves other iterations of our faves are canon. So.... what if our starswirl is another worlds starswirl?

Maybe flowing mains are a sign of power I mean mist mean was called a prodigy In her story And also when twilight held the magic of all the alicorns At the time Her main waved when she used any power from them And look at the Ending episode Twilight has a flowing moon and is in charge of more things than just friendship So maybe Are a symbol of power.

Like a buch of these comments say, luna didnt have a flowy mane when she was reformed, cadence was the only alicorn who had a child, so that could be genetics, and finnaly, twilight grew taller and had a flowy mane in the very last episode of season 9. Like I said, a bunch of comments had swid this already. Please conssider all the comments about this.

This theory is about cadence and shining armor,what if cadence was a Pegasus before she turned into an alicorn so when she and shining armor got married their magic of pegasi and unicorn merged to form their offspring (flurry heart) but she has yet to find her earth pony strength

Now that we have evidence that they are NOT the same type of alicorn (fuck you G5) I guess Sawtooth was ahead of the curve before the rest of us with the whole alicorn civilization thing. It also puts a more clear understanding into Celestia and Luna when they voiced their confusion regarding Flurry Heart. "The birth of an alicorn is something Equestria has never seen." Which is true because they aren't FROM Equestria. How they got there is still a mystery for another day but not really the main focus. "It is beyond even our understanding" Because everyone in Skyros has most likely been monitoring Equestria this probably means that something fundamental has changed in Equestria's core magic, whether that be good or bad I'm not too sure, but I stand to state that with Flurry Heart's birth, this could lead the denizens of Skyros to interact more with Equestria. They probably wanted nothing to do with their affairs because they knew they simply weren't ready for that yet.
