Whilst sharing the barbaric s of a regular saiyan, never had a chance to be what he was always supposed to be, the legendary warrior that would kill frieza. Not to mention the constant mockery at the hands of goku, be it him losing their first fight, or his crying being representation of goku always being a step ahead of him. And this building to z broly’s anger where, rather than outright killing goku, he attempts to make goku relive z broly’s trauma by brutally beating and killing his friends right in front of him to set a score right.
1:21 perfect way to describe Vegeta, he was very bad person during the Android and Cell Arc. Somehow people willingly defend him over someone like Sasuke
Gowasu tried his best. And by all accounts, his initial teachings did set Zamasu on the right path. Unfortunately Gowasu just had all the bad luck a mentor could ever not ask for, as well as a dork of an apprentice with a severe god complex (still love Zamasu tho). In the Manga, even when most people had thought Goku Black too far gone, Gowasu still attempted to get him off his destructive path of mass species murder. He took responsibility for how Zamasu ended up and still wanted a chance to bring his pupil back from the brink of darkness. Something Goku Black at this point and time, really did not deserve. And there was a brief, fleeting moment where it almost worked. And Then Goku Black stabs him again, but still he tried. The fact that he still wasn't willing to give up on his apprentice when most people would immediately disown them for even a 1/10th of the deeds Goku Black commited, is a testament to his patience as a teacher. It's a scene the Anime desperately could have used to further these two characters relationship. Likewise in the Anime, there is a scene right before the arc ends where Gowasu is looking at the reclaimed time rings and lamenting how he had utterly failed his apprentice. Many teachers would have not wasted a second thought on a failed student like Zamasu, but even in the Tournament Of Power, you could see how Zamasu's deeds still weighed on him. It's a quick shot, but added so much to Gowasu/Zamasu dynamic. It's a scene the Manga desperately could have used to further these two characters relationship.

My problems aren't with Zamasu as a character. My problems were with the poor writting in the arc. Goku Black had the potential to be a great villain, but the arc was so poorly written that it just wasn't interesting.
@@amon-zero The first half of the arc was pretty good, that I will admit. The first encounter with Goku Black and the first trip to the future were good. But the second encounter until the end of the arc was where I lost interest. I just did not like how they did the second half of the arc. Not only was it obvious they were rushing us out of the arc, but then they brought back Vegito for 5 minutes and nothing made any logical sense at that point. And there were so many things happening that got no explanation at all, to the point where a lot of people were turned off of the arc because they couldn't accept what was happening.
It’s no other way goku beat him he wanted goku body he got goku body terrorized the future fought goku,trunks and vegeta beat them merged beat them some more goku and vegeta fused an whooped him there fusion ran out he beat them and trunks saved them and gain a power up and killed him in is human form then he turned into infinite version of himself terrorized the landscape and got deleted. He wanted people gone that had nothing to do with it how is he miss understood?
This dude made one of not the best DBS Arc, it's even on a higher danger level since there's no dragon balls to reverse the damage, no divine intervention at all, they are all alone and even worse than any DBZ villan, this mf actually won at the end technically speaking, the entire timeline was erased by Zeno meaning that they failed to save the rest of humanity. And that was all thanks to a stupid ass master who dind't teach his student right and he got delusional. And being fr he have some points.
Ik this is dumb by my thing is he could've won if he just wished for his ideal world or make mortals perfect using the super dragonballs or something rather than taking goku's body, it just makes him look like a villian too stupid to win and why most people say that he was just petty about his lost with goku
My theory is that due to the order of how he was doings things like get gokus body,destroy the gods,destroy all mortals. He wanted a power that can help him obtain his ideals but just removing all mortals from existence would probably bring to much attention from the gods and angels
Well, Zamasu explained it was mortals with intelligence that were evil. Hence, it makes sense he doesn't just wish for all mortals to disappear, as that'd include animals and such. But, why he doesn't just wish for them to be perfect? It's a good question, but Zamasu was very obsessed with the idea of justice or divine retribution. The evil and sin of mortals need an equal and deserving punishment. The first time he sliced a mortal on planet Barbari, we're shown how it affects him. He enjoys it.
The fact was zamasu saw the fact that a Goku was Immortal and yet he was on the level of gods of Destruction he thought it'd be way too dangerous for the whole universe to have a mortal that's strong so his plan was why not just make every Mortal extinct but first he had to go through and find a mortal who is strong enough to fulfill that and who was that oh that's easy Goku easy said Goku black was born and through that you have Goku blacks Ark but he's even more complicated than that Goku and Goku black are one in the same Faribault one in the same because they are both Goku and yet not Goku it's kind of weird the real Goku died when Goku died in the past but he does come back of course we know that but Goku black is a Goku from the future and how far in the future 10 years 10 years Goku black hasn't even scratched the surface of Goku's power yet what do you think in the non-canon capsule Corp Goku fights against Goku black and yet he's so powerful that not even Master Ultra Instinct can deal with him because that Goku black completely scratched the surface of Goku as well but he has an older Goku around about 20 years or so it's kind of crazy to be honest but I'll keep watching and learn more
