I just realized that the thing he does with his feet is actually a thing marching bands do when they have to keep in time in place. The mans really is a symphony master
Yep! Former marching band member here, it's called "marking time." It's also DRESSED like a marching band member lol. Another fun fact, from someone who also did field conducting. The song itself is in 4/4 time, but he's conducting in half time, so he's only marching and conducting half the beats.
@@jlferris5995 yeah marking time! I did marching band too, I just forgot what it was called. It's been awhile having to use terms like that lmao. Ironically enough he does it while moving
@@gravel35 this just made the peak of my comment career I hope a fight like this makes a comeback in some sort of way with a bit more musical integration. Meaning the boss keeps in beat and attacks more in beat with whatever theme is given
@@AuthorChanUltimaWeapon And after these insanely strong orb things only true masters can beat lol But seriously, fav bbs boss is NoHeart from the Arena.
Whenever an Unversed is defeated, it transfers right back into Vanitas - he says so himself. Clearly Vanitas brought him back so he could continue jamming to these tunes.
@@poncho3326 not complaining as I am French myself and I'm happy that they used it for such a theme for such a character :p. It just feels weird to have songs in whatever language when the composer isn't if you know what I mean. (it feels weird as sometimes there are mistakes or they aren't well translated)
@@atwer I know exactly what you means actually. I'm french as well and every reference to our country on RU-vid (minus the many memes and clichés, and everything related to real life news or politics) weirds me out. Thankfully for this music I keep forgetting that it actually has a French name and that its not just RU-vid automatically (and badly) translating video titles and descriptions.
@@iancomtois9832 That’s because she’s so positive! It’s like how Sora’s heartless was just a lowly shadow because he didn’t have that much darkness in him.
Plot Twist. Symphony Master actually came from Yoko Shimomura's music skills, not Vanitas' negative emotions. (I was gonna say that's her Hearless but then I remembered it's an Unversed and came up with this instead)
As I a person with a musical ear, this is the most satisfying boss to fight. Also, he even swings his stick whenever he taps his left foot when he moves, just like it's supposed to be
I mean. If it had been done well it would’ve been cool to do a music segment in Arendelle where you help Elsa build her castle by showing her how to use ice magic, and at the end she’s even more talented than Sora. And that world wouldn’t have been all music. Just one nice music segment in the middle
Always thought this boss was creepy because of its constant conducting at the beginning, gave me chills for some reason Now I think this became one of my favorite unversed.
@@williamelliott186 I think they are like bugs. They exist and come from Vanitas because he shouldn't be separated from Ventus. So they are basically an error created by Ventus and Vanitas splitting.
@@williamelliott186 Isn't it explained clearly ... Unversed may be somekind of error-bug ... But not caused by the seperation of Ven and Vani, instead it was because Vani's unique existence ... It's like saying "Xemnas could use Nothingness magic, so why neither Terra or Xehanort can ?" ...
I have a feeling that everyone glossed over this track when playing the game, and only realized how good it was after they played it. I know I was that way, the first time I realized it was actually really good was when I got to this song in melody of memory.
Real plotholes of Kingdom Hearts that needs to be explained: - Why am I attracted to a unversed? - What has this franchise done to me???? - WHY DOES THAT CREATURE HAVE SO MUCH SASS????
I always loved this theme when i was smaller since birth by sleep was my first and favorite kingdom hearts title, this is also my favorite unversed besides trinity armor, the animations are fluent and the theme of the pallet and instruments make it visually and physically fun to fight (despite being on critical and terra's slow combo attacks) but anyways keep up the content sham
This was and still is one of my favorite unversed boss fights from bbs. What you said is the same reason I like this boss too, plus it feels satisfying wacking the instruments with Terra's slow but heavy hitting attacks.
I wish this unversed was my persona. Edit: it would definitely be called maestro and it's starting skills psi and some low Phys. Later levels include lucky-miracle punch and some eiha/maeiha
