This was a great tutorial. I’ve watched several others but this made the process so easy. And i hate fiddly or complicated things so i love how you explain where they will be and how to make it less fiddly or how to bypass the fiddliness altogether. Thanks!!!
Awesome tutorials. Luv the fact that you go slowly and are so thorough. Easy to follow along. Thank you so much for these. I've done many afghans using the basic tunisian stitch (looks kind of like aida cloth when a large piece is made) and then cross stitch simple motif patterns over it using yarn instead of floss. They are beautiful and completely original. You are correct, doing two or three rows of single crochet around the edges does help with the curling, but for myself I found doing two rows of half double crochet works better. Like you say, dealers choice. Again, thank you for all these wonderful tutorials.
I made a sweater using this method by watching this very video.. It was my first project ever with tunisian crochet! Just shows what a good teacher you are, and how impatient I am, probably!!

I just learned how to Entrelac Crochet yesterday. Today I'm making a C2C blanket. I'm turning each round or row (what ever it's called) and I don't have to end off each row. It's easy and fun to do! I highly recommend Entrelac Crochet!
I'm making this for my 22 year old nephew in teal, gold and orange. I am really liking how it is looking. Your tutorial is so great, made it very easy to learn this.
I also like the clean edges, you are the only one who seems to do it this way. I am going to try this with a bigger hook because it is such a dense fabric when you use a smaller hook and also I think I will use the knit stitch. I will let you know how it turns out. I've been crocheting for more than 65 years, and I just learned something new from you regarding the hook sizes. I've always used the hook the yarn says to use, but now I know you don't have to. Thanks for the new info.
Thanks. I'm doing a texture afghan and was trying to find the right way to add something of interest in an area and I did the stitch all the way along the whole row in one color (A) then I switched between blocks with 2 other colors (B and C). Then I did the whole row of color A again to make it very different but using the same techniques. It worked perfectly to follow along with you to get it started.

Thanks for a great tutorial! Love how this C2C method keeps the edges straight instead of jagged like working entrelac in rows or in the round. Must try this approach to an entrelac baby blanket I'm trying to make. One thing I tried does help reduce the number of yarn ends to weave in later. When adding a new yarn, leave a long enough tail to work at least 1 full row. Use the working yarn to ch6 & work foundation row, then switch to tail yarn and work row 2, then switch back to working yarn to continue remaining rows/blocks. The tail will be securely worked into the pattern without needing to be woven in. If desired, you can work over the remaining tail when adding the next Row's starter block before trimming the excess. :-)

I am so glad I saw this tutorial. I saw another one with the diamond pattern one but I really wanted the pattern to be the side by side squared one to do a patchwork looking baby blanket....And the Paton yarn colors (clover) are absolutely perfect for the babies forest room theme. It's going to be a gift and I am so excited to get started. I have till May so all is good. I already ordered the yarn.

Thank you so much for the video! When I have trouble getting the hook through that slip stitch in my work, I switch to a smaller hook to go through and catch the yarn, bring it through, and put it on the hook. So much easier than fighting that fight all the time. Works like a charm.

I've been going from the middle in a round and it's great but for certain pieces I think this would work better for me. :) As soon as I'm done with the square blanket I'm finishing the last round of, this is on my list haha

I love your tutorials! This one is awesome. I do have one suggestion...at the end you suggest to do an odd row of squares. It would have been nice to know that earlier, I did an even amount. But I think it will turn out ok. Love this stitch! Thank you!
i just finished an afghan w this stitch a few weeks ago. I made my boxes bigger, 12 sts each, and did the whole thing in the round. It turned out super. I love how this stitch looks w your yarn choices, the color changes are lovely.
I made each block 12 sts long and 10 row high. The st at the beginning and end don't really look like part of the pattern so the blocks look 10x10. I also built the pattern starting with the very center block then around and around it with each "row". You can look for "entralac in the round" on youtube if you want an example. Mikey from Crochet Crowd has a good tutorial.
Fiber Spider, this looks absolutely gorgeous! The stitch, the colors, the texture!!! This tunisian entrelac would probably work great if you need to use up scraps of yarn.

I have tried knitted entrelac and crocheted entrelac following other videos with the diamonds and I've been fine doing the beginning row of half diamonds and the next row; after that, I couldn't seem to get it. This I can do!! Thank you!

After watching several of your videos, I gained a renewed love of this wonderful craft. I finished off a simple hat I was working on, and then I made the pixie hat you shared in just one afternoon, and loved it! Additionally, I have tried entrelac several times in the past, but ran out of patience before I could get very far. Love this!! I don't like the diamond pattern that regular entrelac patterns have and the jagged edges drive me crazy (OCD?) but this is lovely...I've already started a baby blanket for Grandson #3 because of this video...thank you!!
