Hello everyone,
In this video I will be showing you how to setup BlueBubbles on a macOS Virtual Machine. If you would like to first set up the VM, watch my previous video (link below). To follow this guide, either a real Mac or Mac VM is required. In this video, I will set up BlueBubbles with Private API, which unlocks all the features for iMessage on Android. This will give you the ability to send and receive tapbacks (reactions), in-line replies, send effects, and much more. If you have any questions leave them in the comments below.

@@Biyou22 I'm using monteray because Catalina was fucky Well at first I made it work with aac os VM because my Mac air is too old but I did some weird crap and for the most reliability just use Monterey like in general.

For future reference, you can drag files from host desktop into the vm and drop onto the vm desktop. Everything is bidirectional

For the API, mine had two in the "Manage Plugins" section, the BlueBubblesHelper and _Dockkit. Everything is working. But on this screen, each one gives you a toggle to set them for "Library" or "Users" when you toggle the avatar for each. Should each be set to users or library, or does it matter?

For anyone running OSX-KVM (I used it through docker) you can simply reboot to recovery and run csrutil disable to disable SIP, no need for any VM specific mods.

Thanks and great video How can I show my mobile number rather than email for all iMessages? Also, do I use blue bubbles for ALL sms and iMessages within the same app? As in one source for all sms mms iMessage? Finally does this then show in the samsung native or android native sms app so history etc is there? Or is it a case of all Messages are only in blue bubbles, delete or stop using bb and you lose all history inc sms if you then only used a native sms app? Hope you can clarify.

Bluebubbles is only iMessage, to show your phone number there are workarounds you can find on Google but I haven't tested, all message history is in the bluebubbles app, and the dev team plans to add SMS support soon

Thanks for providing these detailed instructions. I have followed the instructions exactly, but when I get to the private API status it will not connect no matter how times I refresh. The private API requirements have passed but it won't connect. Any help to solve this?

After following the steps, the bluebubbles server appers to go to the final page you showed but then the screen immediately turns blank. Any advice for this issue? Update: it apparently fixed itself.

Does bluebubbles on android require the mac os vm to be switched on to receive the messages on iMessage?

Yes, any solution such as Airmessage or Bluebubbles requires it to be on since it is forwarding the messages from the Mac to the phone.

im encountering an issue where if i try to send a message to someone via their phone number i will get an on-screen box saying "xxx is not registered with iMessage." iMessage works fine to iCloud recipients, just not phone numbers. Any tips?

The phone number you're trying to send to must be linked to an iCloud account, maybe the person you're trying to send to has an Android phone so they can only receive SMS

The only problem is that it doesn't work when Mac os VM is off and only works when it's on even when you hibernate your computer while Mac os VM is on.

@@deltaxsingh Yes, I did. I think the plugin was somewhere else, so I had to create the folder myself and drag it in. But I also think I was using an outdated version of the VM. I'm sorry, I really don't remember

HELP!!!! I AM AT 9:54 and I am stuck!!!! I put "dmpstore -1 csr.bin" and It said "dmpstore: Unknown flag - '-1' Exit staus code: Invalid Parameter" idk what to do!!!! (im on mac os catalina on Vm ware) I have no clue what I did wrong!!!

For anyone else having this issue, it is not a -1 it is an L but lowercase. Thank you to the blue bubbles discord for their help.
