Nice vid thanks for it. I watched your other one installing the speakers. Question, is it easier from an installation point of view to change speakers and amp at the same time?
I'm not sure you will be saving too much time as each requires different access, but it's definitely doable at the same time.. I also liked hearing the difference the speakers made and then again how the amp improved the quality once again. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos. I have a 2013 35is manual. Doing the rear camera and head unit this week and hopefully afterwards the speakers! When are you installing the M front bumper? It's a big time facelift!
Great if you absolutely must have a plug and play solution since not many options around which are plug and play for this car but over $1000 just for an amp is a tall ask! Much of the cost you are paying simply for the plug and play solution and not for the sound quality. You will get the same result or better by going with an universal amp but of course then you have to put the work in, in order to get it installed.
If I has more experience with audio, I might have attempted it, but I like the plug and play solution as it has been customized for this specific car. Making an adapter to hook up a 'real' amplifier would have been a major job as well. Also, actual audio engineers worked on settings up all of the speakers in this car to make it sound amazing as Z4s have a unique set up as far as audio. I didn't want to just add 2 subs in the trunk with an amp like I did back in high school, but to utilize the upgraded speakers and woofers I have in the car. Thanks for watching!
So when you installed this amp did you loose any of the native BMW amp controls? My Acura amp contains all of the computer components of the stereo system. Simply the stereo is just a tuner like a home rack system used to be.
Hi and thak you so much for your video. I do have the same car with the same audio system. I did watch both of your video for the speakers and now for the amplifier. Speakers look chalanging but amplifier a bit easyer. Also a question of money. Ir you had the change of change one or the other. would you change the speakers and wait for the amplifier or change the amplifier in first . Thank you in advance for your answer.
I bought a used '09 Z4 that already has an upgraded amp. Every time I turn on the car, the initial gong sound about splits my eardrums (along with my neighbor's down the street). I was reading that the loud gong is due to the amp upgrade. Does this amp by Bimmer Tech do the same thing?
