I’ve spent time with Jehovahs Witnesses and I’ve always been able to ask questions they admit they can’t answer. I wasn’t even trying to do that on purpose which is the weird thing. I read a lot so I’ve read about a lot of people and situations that made me wonder how it worked in terms of religion. Take sociopaths for instance: they have no conscience and can’t give or receive love. But since they were born that way what does that mean? Did God create them that way which would mean he creates bad people just to punish them for what they can’t help?

Hey DarkMatter2525 I don't comment here at all and you probably won't see this anyway but I wanted to share this. I came across your channel when I started to really debate myself about religion, I'm an agnostic so I always wondered about what God, gods, etc really want if one even exists. I began to have an existential crisis and researching and debating with people. When I came across one of your videos titled "The Greater Insult" I felt more reassured about not being a Christian. That's not true about Christianity. Many past denominations of so called "Christianity "were based on conmen who made failed End Times predictions. Well this is why I'm not an atheist and agnostic anymore since my teenage years. Arrogance isn't competence which I've seen from many people who have religious and theistic beliefs, Atheists, agnostics and secular humanists This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. No one has authority over you in matters of the soul or its nonexistence. If pressured by the religious, demand evidence. You might enjoy Dan Maclellan, a biblical scholar. He explains that (and why!) every Christian must negotiate with the text of the Bible to make it fit their identity. He explains away the authority of the Bible by pointing out dogmatic errors by Christian apologists and points out that it was written and translated by different authors for different audiences and that you must negotiate with the text to apply it today. What that tells me is that you can use it as effectively for spiritual guidance as you could Confucius, the I Ching, Tarot cards or any other system of divination. None of his videos have compelled me to faith or turned me from the idea that divinity might be real, but it stopped me thinking that Bible verses were the same as facts.

That gingerbread man cookie looking guy 😅? I tried becoming a Christian...again. I watched other people have so much more faith than me, "Why" I asked myself 'Why can't I just believe it 100%, why do I feel like I am deliberately gaslighting myself? And in general with a lot of things, why can't I just accept these things like other people? I would be so much happier if I didn't self ostracise myself from pop. culture. But instead I think. It really gets in the way of this blissful ignorance I'd like to try without intoxicating myself in order to pull it off. Yup, tried to be a real Christian, prayed for my cat(s), for a nice girlfriend, for my brother to come to his senses, etc. I prayed with my heart and soul like Jesus said, none of my prayers were answered. The results would have been the same if I had not prayed at all. My cat(s) died, I'm still lonely, and my bro is still a narcissistic dikhead. Jesus said we can move mountains if we had faith as little as a mustard seed, well Jesus, all the mountains are still there, I doubt even a pebble can be moved even by the most pious amongst us. What a disappointment! Empty promises.

sorry to read this... I'm an atheist, only recently I added some conscious realisation to the mix... I don't care about why we would be here... it's extremely liberating... as a student, I had a cat that would jump from the ground into my arms, sat the whole night on my lap while I was studying... since I have my own family, we had three cats, first was a norwegian forest cat, grey, beautiful animal, not very friendly, then a colourpoint, blue eyes, very friendly, talkative, we had to have her euthanised last year, she had many health issues... now we still have a cat... totally crazy animal... take care, you do a lot of good when you adopt a cat.

Praying is like wishing, you can do it all you like but it won't make a lick of difference. Instead, face the problems that you try to pray away and focus on actionable solutions; it will make you feel better even if your action fails. Also, some problems there isn't a solution too, everyone and everything dies, and the best you can do is to alter your perspective on it. Instead of focusing on the loss, focus on what you had gained from sharing your life with them. As for personal relations, if the water is toxic, and nothing you add to it can neutralize the poison, then it may be better to leave the pool and find fresher water.

@@sekovittol3124 Many claim NDE's as some kind of proof, but it's peculiar how they're always reaffirming of the religious setting the person grew up in. There's no other way to have "experienced" _after_ living. All we see is a brain misfiring as it tries to stay on. Perhaps there is something, but you would not be able to know of it because you're brain can't be there- it's here, in the physical. The arguments against a 'soul', some spirit inside us that can affect the mind and maybe more, are such: there are no ghosts that can interact in any way whatsoever with the physical world (being completely undetectable means it effectively isn't there), and brain injury can drastically change a person's personality and memory. If the soul could resync with the brain, Alzheimer's wouldn't be a thing, nor would Phineas Gage have been a case study. No one should see any ideation of this stuff as valid. I struggled with finding meaning in the face of retrospective deletion at death, until I independently came up with an idea similar to Fredrich Nietzsche's Eternal Recurrence. You don't need to be able to experience an _after_ life while still alive to justify anything.

I can't tell you how many times I've been told that Darwin on his deathbed recanted his theory of evolution , even the other day I saw video about how Anton lavey(sp) said he was wrong to have created the church of Satan on his deathbed. I know of anton through friends and I've read the his book out of curiosity and found it entertaining I'm certainly not a believer in his church but I've not been able to find a credible source for this statement. But the people in the comments just ate that up, totally believing that this horrible man found God in the last few seconds of life. How beautiful. But most religious people that I know that seem to believe this without hesitation , will find fault in radio carbon dating, because usually there there is not a definitive date. It's usually plus or minus hundreds of years so it must just be a fabrication of those scientists. That's how they are so wrong about the earth being billions of years old vs a book telling them 6000 years, because some guy just said it once and most people were cool with it. No explanation needed , just put on the blinders when it comes into question with anything that disputes it, and then repeat it enough times so others belive it.

I think one needs to demarcate between unjustified religious claims premised solely on faith via written scripture and interior investigation of consciousness which, IMO, is the accurate word for spirituality. The Pali Canon is a universe away from the Torah in every way that is good...So, Torah bad but Pali Canon good! At least when it comes to personal confirmation of 'supernal altered states of consciousness'...And in these writings it's clear that projecting about God and things outside of the material world is a fools errand. Although I do this I ALWAYS qualify my thoughts as metaphysical speculation and concede I could be wrong (it's the real and true nature of that beast)...
@NWPaul72
@NWPaul72 2 месяца назад
I'm pretty certain that miracles occur, divinity is real and that our (souls/minds/consciousness) is tied to our bodies like a signal to an antenna. We are limited in what we can perceive or experience by our physical forms, why not also in our understanding? I think we are explorers of this universe and are also its sensory organs. The universe created consciousness in order to observe itself and we are either part of it or separate from it while alive. What happens next is unobservable to us, but unlikely to feature _anything_ eternal. Time might tell.

Very early on in my life I realised that god wasn't real because sounded far too good to be true and exactly what a person trying to convince me of something without trying to know me would say. Just close your eyes and imagine the best thing ever and that's what I am promising you if you follow me, close them again and picture the worst thing and that is what's going to happen if you don't. Is like they didn't even needed to try thousands of years ago, is baffling how it still works

A wise saying I heard was “Most give nothing but distain and skepticism into a foreign religion. But give the same defenses when the same arguments are applied to their beliefs” There was a wired al song which talked about how fallacious appealing to tradition is. When I actually began applying to traditions my friends and family did, they defended their traditions regardless of how dumb they were.

@Gyattday
@Gyattday 2 месяца назад
The point is to make use of your finite existence by achieving goals you set for yourself and to help others achieve their goals, without running other people's goals. Life is precious because it is temporary, because it is rare like a gem. If there would be infinite gems, their value would go down. Not even "precious" metals are precious compared to the vast amount of them in the universe, but they are to us when scaled down. You essentially have to realize the little things matter, nature builds things starting from one atom at a time. People make structures, one brick at a time. We all Start going to the gym, at some point of time and but by bit improve. My point being, everything will eventually end meaning that the current and near future are what really matter. We also naturally scale expectations for out goals, i.e even strongman haven't been able to lift a ton. A ant can't lift a human yet it still fulfills it's goals

Belief is ALWAYS the abandonment of reason and substitution of following someone credited with knowledge. Purpose is derivative and 'God" is a meaningless fabrication.
@edwardrhoads7283
@edwardrhoads7283 2 месяца назад
In religion probably but not always. For example I believe that time inside a black hole is imaginary. I believe this based on Einstein's equations for relativity. However, it is currently untestable so I do not know for certain and cannot know if imaginary time (meaning the square root of -1) even exists. However based on what I do know and can reason I do believe this and believe that it applies to space inside a black hole. And somewhat outside of Einstein I believe that all of relativity is a phase transition from real time to imaginary time. This is not directly predicted by Einstein but is a belief I hold albeit it a scientific belief (although science would more call that a hypothesis but hypothesis is just a fancy way of saying belief). So, belief can be based on reason and knowledge.
@damon22441
@damon22441 2 месяца назад
Not so. A Belief is something that you hold to be true without evidence and against evidence to the contrary. You have a reason to think the stuff about relativity is truth, @@edwardrhoads7283, and that's the evidence that supports it. When it comes to claims in the Bible or other religions, what's testable has been proven false and what isn't testable can be demonstrated or reasoned to be bullshit.

Remember: You can have different levels of atheism for different Gods. For example, I DON'T KNOW whether or not A GOD exists, but I'm pretty sure Yahweh isn't real. In fact, A GOD is the only one in the question. When it comes down to any religions god, I'm pretty much a gnostic atheist.

@Joey-ei2zq

@@_Omega_Weapon That's not the only thing that makes the Abrahamic God impossible. Just look at the clashing, logically incomprehensible, unreasonable scripture. Also take into account that what IS testable (Prayer for example) literally NEVER works. And in cases where people say it DID work, there was something alongside it also working. Like praying and going to the doctor. Whenever it's by itself, it's like it magically stops functioning.
