Look at how Buffer celebrates when Stephan is also awarded the contract. Most in ring employees would just kindly applaud but Buffer was genuiley ecstatic. Goes to show how much his heart is in the sport.
Diego Sanchez; "i'm not going to be drinking, i'm not going to be partying." Also Diego Sanchez: *incoherant screams at imaginary aliens while lying in his own vomit*
Living with these guys for so many weeks, without leaving the property except for when you train. That’s why they end up drinking and doing silly shit.
All the cool kids were talking about new episodes of South Park (on Comedy Central channel 60) , while i stayed up past midnight to watch C11 watching South Park episodes thinking i was watching the same episode as them :((((( .
I have season 1 through to season 19 all on DVD. I lost my shit on them. I would buy a 4 pack of red bull, a bunch of chocolate bars and watch every season start to finish. I had a tremendous time lol
are you serious? kenflo was sexually harassing all the women that worked on the show. and some of the men too. telling them they would be fired unless they tickled his butt.
Nat blames the ufc for not how do you put it not renewing his contract. Hes trying to sue zuffa. He got luck with 2 fights tko, 1 was people's referee who thought the other guy got knocked out . Bs than gets a fight for the title with Franklin shows you he never belonged in that ring there. Chris leben got robbed of a title fight. Had like the most fights in the ufc.
@@melzasguitar6177 yeah I just bought the dvd set for season 1 and leben wasnt being nice to mike because he knocked mike out in a fight before they went on the ultimate fighter and he was bragging about it. Then couture had to settle that out. But yeah mike swick could’ve held a grudge but didn’t so I tip my hat to him as well.
@@HugoStiglitz88 wasn't boring because of quarry, he did everything he could to run down that guy but starnes was determined not to fight that night, something about an injury
I love the part where Randy says "Avoid the beer" and Chuck looks at him and they laugh together. Genuine moment between two of the greatest ever showing mutual respect for each other. Unlike Tito, whom they both never respected, spanked, KO'd, and the lot...
I still have a signed team Lidell jersey from working security on the show. Good times and the ultimate finale was amazing. I had no idea how iconic the Griffin/Bonner fight would be but to watch it live was absolutely crazy.
A moment I wanted to highlight is how happy Forrest Griffin was to know that he won and didn't have to take the opportunity away from Stephan Bonnar and was just as excited as him to get that contract as well
@@iBlackula definitely, I shower how tuff these guys actually were and this show wasn't just an "easy" way into the UFC but also showed how awesome actual UFC fights could be .
I miss these days of the UFC, when it still wasn't quite mainstream and still had that edgy, underground feel. When Diego finally leaves the UFC, it will be the end of a solely missed era.
Diego was a friggin beast back in the day. His attitude changed as he matured like most people. Still one of my favorite fighters during his rise through the UFC 🇺🇸
That's a damn good turn out. Watched season 5 with Nate Diaz,Joe Lauzon and Gray Maynard. Those are the 3 I can remember seeing in actual UFC matches. Gabe Ruediger fought in the UFC,but he was thrown out of TUF house for not making weight.
@@shermswarthau5366 Funny thing is Ruediger was the favourite because he was a former WEC champ. When he finally got in the UFC Joe Lauzon chocked him out lol, the only other stacked season is 14 which had Dillashaw, Brandoa, Brimage, Dodson, Burmudez and Jimmy Riveira was nocked out in the qualifiers lol.
@@demilich867 lol. The Lauzon/Ruediger fight was a life lesson for Ruediger. Joe absolutely annihilated Gabe in no time flat! Gabe was so dejected he wouldn't even shake Joe's hand afterward which is BS IMO. One of the coolest things about MMA is even though the fighters may talk all kinds of trash before the fight,it's usually total respect for each other after the fight win or lose. Gabe lost so badly that the fight he had scheduled in India was cancelled after the promoters called him and said don't bother making the trip! Ruediger was a disgrace! He "Gave 100% in the kitchen" didn't put in the effort to cut all the weight he gained eating ice cream cake etc. and cost a serious fighter their chance to experience TUF. Even after Dana kicked him out and Emerson was breaking Ruediger off about being a bum...Gabe was eating a bag of chips while getting chewed out for not making weight! SMH. Penn & Pulver couldn't stand each other, but after the fight they squashed it and BJ invited Jens to Hawaii to train together. Damn good season!
Unfortunately Lodune Sincaid took his own life a few years back. He struggled with PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder. RIP Lodune thanks for the laughs on the show and some memorable fights in the early days of mma including winning the WEC Light Heavyweight title🙏❤
For real!! Everything now is centered around social media and all this crap, back then nobody had a cell phone glued in there hands 24/7.... fuck I’m getting old lol I’m only 31...
@@volcommadness I totally agree I was really young in those days but I still remember getting my first phone it was a Nokia flip phone back in 04 05 but social media makes people turn into narcissists really self centered with all these selfies no one cares about other people anymore
Hell yeah, good old days, I was in my late teens/early 20s. Used to go to my buddy's house and drink 40's, roll blunts, watch UFC, make beats, freestyle over them... good old days.
Just wanted to say thank you to the person who created this RU-vid page. Been watching the hell outta these best of TUF seasons. So many memories and people I forgot about. Thanks for these 👊
I was 21 when this came out. I was glued to the TV for this show for some reason and I remember that finale with Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar..it truly was epic and made me love this sport even more
I actually own this DVD set of the season but this is still so awesome that you learned this up man thank you and I really appreciate everything that you have done with the ultimate fighter seasons.
@@lilbickleymane I was reading my comment and it seems like my brain is about as mushed as Diego Sanchez's too. LMAO At least mine was a talk text error and not brainwashed by some dude who hung me upside down to punch me in the head over and over again.
TUF 1 was the best, could you imagine had they gotten Uncle Chael for the cast like they had originally planned? That would make this the greatest season of any show ever
Nate telling Leben that until he takes responsibility for his choices, he's going to be stuck at the bottom of a bottle displays much wisdom at such a young age on Nate's part. He was giving some sound and solid advice trying to guide Leben. Mad respect for Nate!!
I remember watching bonner and Forrests fight. It is still the most entertaining fight I ever watched. Had ne on my feet. When they gave them both contracts, it made me love Dana, and the UFC even more. Alot of stars from that first season.
“This is the season/show that really saved the UFC and put the ufc on the map for a mainstream audience” -Dana White (During and interview about the 25 years of the history of the UFC)
Probably the most stacked season ever. So many of them became legit top tier fighters years after this season. Some ended up as legends like Leben and Sanchez
