7:00 when Ken makes his guys watch his old fights instead of training 😂 😂 😂. It reminds me of the uncle from Napoleon dynamite who keeps thinking about the good ole days.
😂😂 but barely👌 . I remember watching this fight, and the build up to this fight. I was like 16 years old, and me and my group of friends were really into mma. We all just wanted to see them both get beat up. They're both douchebags. That was the consensus then too.
My highschool wrestling coach was an Olympian and state champion named Dan questas he dumped Ken on his head a few times and he was in his 40s lol. He said the lions den was a scam he went and they tried to break him and keep his tryout fee except it didn't work out to well for Ken and his team that night.
Comes with the confidence of having beat Ken's ass in the past and Ken being a clown during this season. Chuck had already knocked Tito's block off during their season.
@@Patrick-sg7cm That's true but that was a joke. Chuck trainer that he's had for years and years the guy that was in his corner when he won all of his big fights against Tito and Randy. And everybody else for that matter. That trainer refused to train shock for this fight because he knew it was not a good idea for Chuck to fight. His chin was gone it's been gone since his last few fights in the UFC when he got knocked out by Franklin and Rashad Evans among others. Oscar de la Hoya ought to be ashamed of himself for putting this fight on. Everybody else on the planet besides Chuck and him knew that Chuck was done. All this fight accomplished was it gave Tito some half-ass week bragging rights. De la Hoya is a shit promoter for MMA. He couldn't even pronounce Lidell's name correctly and that's the top fighter on his card lol. And he kept saying it wrong over and over. Said Chuck Lydell or some crap like that. Okay done ratchet take care bro
@@TheYuxiaodi your face is a joke. watch this season, every fighter on his team sucked and was a wimp except for herman. couldnt go hard or soft. ken is a good prooven coach.
wtf are you talking about? did you watch this season? dont go off what everybody says watch it for yourself! ken tried his best to motivate and train his fighters they just didnt respond well as they didnt have the hear or skill, most had loosing records and were honestly just wimps based on their personalities...... only good one he had was ed herman
@@shane1009 both are kinda equal in style of training.... Old school fuck the injuries kind of mindset.... I'd say Ken is actually a bit rougher on that aspect as the lions den has shown... But I like Ken better so I'd go with him. He's a legend and great coach too as lions den showed
@FlechFisher Training "through" injuries (inappropriately) is mental weakness because it means you're not strong enough to acknowledge your obstacles and limitations (you cant overcome or improve ignoring the problem/injury you got fix it) as far as the season goes I would rather be trained by Tito. I think Shamrock is emotional and the feelings he has for competition makes him a good fighter but a shitty (and sometimes selfish) coach. Tito was focused and single minded in his pursuit. I thought the guy was just a meat head but he surprised me.
@@shane1009 thats bullshit actually, ken is a good prooven coach, and tried his best with his fighters on tuf, they simply were wimps minus herman. like i said its ironic but both tito and ken have basically the same old school rough style of training or coaching, so you're basically picking the same thing. i just go with ken cause i like him better and respect more but its relative.
yep just like Conor did against Faber he did no coaching just showed up with sunglasses on inside and a suit coked out of his mind or drunk and watched his shitty trainers try to train the guys 😂
This season was one of my favorites. Watching Ken Shamrock trying to play pro-MMA modern coach honestly reminded me a lot of the Michael Scott character in the Office, so much unintentional humor. Only an aging Ken who'd been doing mostly pro-wrestling at the time and getting his ego inflated bigger than Tito's head can make Ortiz look clever and smart.
As a wrestler that has trained some boxing I feel Tito's training style is more effective. However as someone who has done those tough wrestling practices a lot I actually think it would be interesting to learn the old style of watching some videos and then brawling with each other.
Tito actually came to our gym in San Diego s few times and hit the mats with me n my brother and the other guys he's a fucking beast dude he's bigger then he looks here like a walking refrigerator big block head and shoulders his arms and chest are like iron he's strong and explosive it's insane to think how dangerous these UFC top tier guys actually are and the fact that he ran the roost for years as the champ with 6 title defenses in his prime is impressive trust me when I tell he's an imposing physical specimen real talk my niggaz
Maybe taking full responsibility as a head coach and leader of his team… each fighter needs to than take responsibility for his actions during the show 🤷♂️ idk. Either way, Ken didn’t do well this season lol.
@@dannyc7227 If you read about ken and the lions den ken's coaching style is horrible for TUF. From what I understand he would spend weeks doing nothing but building mental toughness with no actual training. He tried to carry that over to TUF and it didn't work. These guys need to learn some new things fast. Ken tried to play the long game in a short term setting and it was a bad move.
Wow. You're telling me there was actually a time when Tito sounded normal? There was a time when he could actually form a sentence that makes sense? Amazing.
Well he was put to sleep before he could see it coming n woke up on his back. You are going to be confused if that happens. But he definitely has a concussion on top that ko
@@leo-sj6un yeah he was so humble going into his fights for the last 10 years he was even worse than Chael Sonnen when it came to his talking. He still puts down fighters constantly even though he's not fighting anymore he's worse than Kenny Florian with that s***. The CTE is sitting in bed with him.
Stuck in the past. Didn't bring a jiujutsu coach, brought a nutritionist more suited for bodybuilding, had them watch his old matches and so on. Even his training at the beginning with the sandbags was old style Lion's Den sort of training. Sport evolved, he didn't.
Fun Fact: Noah’s girlfriend of 6 months is now his wife of over 9 years! Edit: Additionally, after leaving the show, Noah briefly returned back to the regional scene, before retiring with a record of 4 wins and 5 losses.
Tito definitely suffered brain damage throughout his career, you can tell how coherent he was in his speech back then compared to the end of his career
HEY guys we got to get this dude a lot of subscribers to help him out this was the coolest thing he could have ever done is loading up all this content for us so let's help him get a lot of subscribers.
Whoever scouted the talent for this Ultimate Fighter shows is the man. Almost every season if they didn't have a future champion they had hall of famers.Bispin,Rashad, Griffin, Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian, Rose Namajuanas,Nate Diaz, Matt Serra,Koschek,Usman...I mean I could go on and on, just an endless list of the who's who in UFC history
People that trained with Ken in Lions Den praise that style while on TUF whatever that was seemed to not be the way to go. IDK what the line is between pushing yourself to the limit and pushing it so hard you injure yourself when you should take it more easy.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants Ken's problem is the new age guys were more used to wrestling practice type training where its mostly conditioning and a little technique. While Ken's Lion Den was more about sparring but I don't know if they were big on conditioning and grappling.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants I agree I wouldn't want to spar too hard on TUF when you are fighting 3 fights. It's just as a wrestler I do find Shamrock's style interesting because he doesn't know much about conditioning or wrestling but was still a great fighter at his time. On the other hand Tito's style reminded me a lot of my high school wrestling practices which were pretty tough but got you in great shape.
Mr owner of this channel for uploading all this stuff. I can honestly say I love you like a brother seriously you're the brother that I should have had. I hope your Thanksgiving Christmas New year's all of it goes great and I wish you continued success on whatever it is that you do may God bless you and your family. Once again thank you very much.
@@Kingpin2456 Pretty subjective. Dude seems to be doing quite well being a real estate agent, family man and all that. Neither of us obviously know him but I strongly doubt dropping out of a mma reality show when he was younger is something that keeps him up at night
... HEY guys we got to get this dude a lot of subscribers to help him out this was the coolest thing he could have ever done is loading up all this content for us so let's help him get a lot of subscribers. ..
Matt the hammer is one of the few fighters that will always have my respect. The ability to not hear your corner and still fight with solid IQ deserves nothing but respect.
Lol how Matt specifies that he is training for the "regular" Olympics Haha. I seen him once at buffalo wild wings watching a UFC ppv. He took pics with every1.
Hm.. I actually forgot that back in the day when Tito was top dog in the UFC, and the first time I heard him speak post fight, I was very impressed with how level headed, well spoken, down to earth and energetic he seemed. Also in this season, he was a tremendous coach, really boosting every fighters morale just by being on his team. Somewhere over the years he suddenly thought he was some shrewd business guy and became extremely pompous, verbose and nervous. He started fumbling his words and ended up in all the wordsmith-compilations.. I wonder what happened?
Was somebody trying to convince you otherwise or?? Or are you the most highly qualified person on the subject of TUF coaches? Not being a jerk just curious if we should know who you are?? Are people genuinely interested in what you think or was your comment one of those pretentious conversation starters meant to generate a friendly debate?? If you expect to be taken seriously maybe present some facts and arguments to support your hypothesis. RU-vid is infested with these types of comments and there’s at least 8 people that share your take on it. But the people you want to have a conversation with won’t ever respond. If you want to debate why Tito Ortiz is the greatest coach ever shouldn’t provide some facts to back up your opinion??? If you want to be taken seriously or acknowledged answer the question you posed to everyone else. If you were just hoping to be noticed then you’ve got a score of at least 9 so far.
The difference in teams: Tito brings in a world class grappling coach .... A awsome striking coach. And he can coach them in wrestling. Ken brings in a boxing coach and bodybuilder
Lmao I just realized how funny it was that Kendall challenged Ross and Bisping to drink trying to prove Englishmen can't drink. And he just completely proved himself wrong hahaha.
It's amazing that Michael bisping went from being the ultimate fighter season 3 winner to becoming UFC middleweight champion to becoming a Hall of famer. Say what you want about him. He trash talks but he backs it up.
He fought the right opponents at the right time. He wouldnt be champion if he fought romero or whittaker. He got lucky romero lost and whittaker had an injury
Finally I found the origin from "Hahaha, I dont give a fuck". Also seems that the guy made the right call. I read somewhere in the comments that they are still together. Good for him, he wouldnt have made it on the big stage anyway. Went 4-5 on regionals
