@@unstablenecrophage278 thats typical middle eastern ego/immaturity, literally looked and sounded word for word how my syrian roommate acts when things arent going his way
So cool that Serra went from being nearly cut from the UFC to beating GSP for the belt then retiring to become one of Danas best friends and getting to go on crazy fun trips all over the world with him
I met him on a holiday in the USA. He was walking down Hollywood blvd. He was the nicest guy. I wanted a pic with him, and I didn’t have my phone or a camera. He got his friend to take the pic, and he personally emailed it to me. He retired from mma and started acting. Awesome guy
@@hkmma6543 You have no idea what it takes to be in there and have to make weight and put yourself in physical and mental danger every time you step into the cage. You wouldn’t do that show for more than a day.
I can truly see how The TUF series helped grow the sport. You really start to form a "relationship" with these people, who just like you and I, are trying to achieve their own dreams.
Yeah he was a lightweight title contender! But he's admitted over the years that he didnt have the discipline to stay down at 155... It was the pasta and pizza that sealed the deal for him
Oh shit, I didn't even realize he was in this. Fuck him, I watched JCS documentary on him and he was absolutely an insane and terrible person. What he did to his ex made my stomach turn
I've had concussions before and if Dorian got one from being rocked during drills, I completely understand where he is coming from. I remember for the whole day and like a week or so after, things that were pointed towards or facing me, seemed a lot closer. Even though I knew they weren't close, my body was tensing up as if it was. Strange feeling.
I find it kinda scary how oblivious all these guys seem to be to the effects of brain damage considering how prominent it is in their profession. I hope fighters nowadays are a little more self-aware.
Yeah, but he was super able to act like a thug, roll up on somebody, threaten them with complete balance, no ill complications, and then realize what he'd done and think through the pending repercussions.
@@cody1482 I am glad you aren't a medical doctor. You are right, concussions are a spectrum and depending upon the severity of them, you can most certainly cause enough damage to be a drooling vegetable.
Crazy when you think about how much more talent was in season 5. Mac Danzig and George Sotiropolous would have been like the sixth and seventh best guys on season 5.
There are times, where I spend an entire day watching these old TUF masterpieces. Because sh!t man, it's the only sport on planet EARFF that isn't vomiting politics. Just pure awesome competition!
It really sucks for the poor guy coping with his arm in the beginning. Its easy to make fun of, however we should keep in mind that this man has been training for years waiting for his opportunity to break into the UFC. Thats an extremely hard pill to swallow when your invested at the level he is at
True, but you take those risks when you have fighting as your career, I mean it’s unfortunate, but gotta be careful and watch what ya do to reduce the chance of injury. With that being said, I can’t imagine how hard it is to be careful like that because one good punch or kick or even a bad fall can just take you out like that. Him taking it out on the doctor was damn disrespectful tho, that’s for sure.
Yeah, I didn't watch UFC for a few years, I got back into it about a year and a half ago and I was shocked when I heard about that tragic story. I bawled my eyes out. Matt is an inspiration to many. For him to learn how to walk and talk again must have been the biggest challenge in his life. He is blessed, that's for sure. He could've died on scene.
yeah apparently Matt hughes was a big bully in his hometown and was that same way with almost everyone in his life, pretty sure his public niceness was fake
@@four-twenty4205 he got whacked by a train, barely survived and today is a MUCH different human being. Pretty sure the UFC did a story/documentary on Hughes. Real sad shit but the result is Matt looks at life wayyyy differently and suffered significant brain damage. Shocked he survived period though
@@jf5618 - Wow I've just watched a short interview with him in a red shirt and if you closed your eyes you wouldn't even know who was talking... That's sad stuff man. Hope he makes a full recovery.🤞
@@four-twenty4205 yeah man! When you get time, pretty sure UFC has a longer documentary. Like what happened with his wife and family. Matt was embarrassed by the person he saw on film. The way he treated others and his behavior. Super sad but…hoping the man continues to get better and mentally feel better on his outlook! That’s the biggest struggle in life. Regardless of money, material, it’s that feeling of hope and value. Best wishes!
Funny, the "quitter" dude who they were making fun of for going back to work at the bank, surely made the best decision. Working for the UFC is a deadend for the majority of fighters.
He runs a Gracie Barra gym now. I doubt he wants his students seeing him tap to a triangle that was half locked in without even attempting to stack his opponent, but otherwise he landed on his feet ok.
As someone who had there football career ended by doctors notice I completely understand the guy in the beginnings frustration. Also “im talking to dana white today” had me in fucking tears 😂😭
Ikr. He wanted to fight so badly. It sux to see that happen to a guy who really wants it, and then you got some of the other guys going bacc cuz they miss their girl n shit. Life is ass-bacc-wards. It really is. Lol. Frfr
@Br Olsos did I say he was cool af for kicking shit? No I didn't and I'm talking about his determination because he still wanted to fight with a broke elbow and the dude did apologize to the doctor.. so?? What's ur point kid And what surgery that was an x Ray homie lol
Yo that guy at the start is a fucking legend 😂🤣. "I believe in your diplomas doctor's" few seconds later "I don't wanna hear you" "he doesn't know shit"
No matter how much I wanted to, could never find myself liking Mac Danzig. Like he just takes himself too seriously hit this season was gold , thanks for the upload.
