Another great video mate, got my first two Pothos cuttings for my new tank and have a few other variants in the mail right now. Looking forward to see how they do in my new guppy tank :)
I love these vids, thank you so much for sharing. I currently have a 100 gl Rubbermaid stock tank with some plants like pothos and peace lilies along with my fancy goldfish. I have to additional empty smaller containers-20 gl and a 40 gl that I would like to try with growing more plants. I’ll be binging your channel for help lol. Also, what will you use to heat the water in your pond, that won’t melt the rubber or burn the fish?
Sounds like a great setup! I’m using a hygger aquarium heater (300watt, I think?) and it has been working like a charm. Keeps the temps at 72F. All the plants have put on new growth since adding the heater shortly after this video. Soon I will shoot an update video and show how it’s going.
Your pond looks great! I live in central Florida, but we're going to have a cold snap this week, and it could get down into the 30s. I got a 1,000w Hygger aquarium heater set up, and it's been great so far. It's been in the 50s a few nights, and I've been able to keep the water at 70 degrees. I guess the real test will be Monday or Tuesday night. I'm more worried about my pleco than the plants, but she's been camping out on the heater since I set it up, so I think she will be fine. I looked at so many different brands of high watt heaters, and Hygger always had good reviews. I really hope this works.
Just wondering how high is your wintertime electric bill is with that heater running. That is one reason I want to try rice fish in my outside ponds - to have fish in them year round that can take the cold spells. You plants and fish look great!
I really have not been keeping up with the cost of running the heater. (Think I’m happier not knowing.) it hasn’t been so much that my wife said something about it…yet.
@@plantlifeprojectthen i must have mistaken the roots for soil but the root just the color of soil for that monstera you put in. The wired cable you use. What kind is it?
