Since we went to Barcelona in September we have thought about spending a couple of winter months in Malaga. Airbnb accommodations are very reasonable in January and February 😎. We live in Winnipeg, Canada where the winters are very cold averaging-30 Celsius.
Question Patrick. Traveling from London for a 5 day trip. Planning to land in Malaga and travel to Granada for 2 days. Is it worth making that trip in December or would you recommend just stay in Malaga?

The Cafetería in #1 is no longer a place as it had to close due to the gentrification process provoked by videos like this. Now is a boring Irish (!) bar for tourists.

Cafe Central closed for good the 2nd week of January. The owner could not paid the lease which went very high. Is a shame but is one place of your list people cant go anymore.

Spanish is my heart´s passion and my husband and I are retiring to Spain 51% of the year, Ireland the rest. The choice is between Málaga and Valencia and, he´s a beach nut! We´ll be in either from January to end of June, let´s say. I LOVE Spanish but, I´m not crazy about the Andalusian accent...at all. Málaga seems more energetic but, is that like ¨British at a football game¨type of energetic? I´m sincerely hoping to find men from both cities with whom to befriend. We live in Orlando, Florida so, we´d be able to trade accomodations as well as sights and sounds. Do you find that either city is easier than the other for ¨happy people¨? We are headed there in early June. A question about the wine and tapas tours. Could we go earlier in the day to one of these wine bars/wineries and get some more information about the wines from the bartenders? Or is it better to higher a tour for 2-3 hours?
I think going to a wine bar might give you information about a lot of wines. If you go to a winery they usually have their own visits which would give you a lot of info about fewer wines.
