As someone who works in industrial food factory maintenance, there's nothing tec7 can't fix or seal. it seals, adheres, can be used and cured underwater and is sanitary, always a go-to and if bought in bulk is reasonably cheap
You touched on ct1 and the suchlike, with typical sealants you would spray soapy water over the freshly applied silicon. With the adhesives - white spirit will do the same trick. Even putting white spirits on a cloth and running your finger over the bead will work. I've heard of people using vaseline or other petroleum based products on the scrapers but ive never done it myself so take it with a grain of salt
