Picked this up at a Veilance sample sale in NYC for an absolute steal on a 80% markdown in the shale colorway. Been pairing it with my Outlier Strongdarts for the winter. I've been trying to pivot into more "smart" technical pieces (sometimes it's just not feasible for Acronym 24/7) and this really completed the look. You've really outlined everything I love about this piece.
@@WhiskeyAfterHours IIRC there's an outlet store near San Francisco. But yeah the Brea location doesn't have much in terms of outlet offerings. Minnesota at the Mall of America has no sales tax and more outlet offerings but no Veilance.
the prices here are just out of this world. I understand that you are paying for quality and specialisation but it just makes it so exclusive. I hope these things start to get cheaper and more accessible in the future.

Just got my Indisce Blazer today -already having a Blazer LT. I was surprised how heavy and rigid it is - compared to the LT. Advantage is a much less wrinkly blazer and agree the collar ‘fold-up’ feature is pure bad-butt. Not suitable for todays 27 Degrees C weather, but I am prepared for the cool season

the *J29* by *acronym* is similar, but might even be better thanks to its hood, zipped closure, pockets and unique design. could you review it in some way? it exists in a softshell- and hardshell-version too, under the codenames *j11* and *j44*
Correct. But they also use proprietary fabrics, even from the regular Arcteryx collection. What seperates Veilance from regular Arc are the fits and the details. Especially the details like the angling of pockets and the cut of the cuffs are exclusive to Veilance. For me, that is where I spend my money on, the fabrics (and even fit) not so much. For reference: I have the 2019 Field LT (7/10), the Blazer LT (8/10), the 2019 Align MX (9/10). I pair these with insulating layers from cheaper brands such as Icebreaker and regular Arcteryx.
I think the best usecase for this would be a commuter who goes by bike I mean you can wear it in the jacket mode for cycling to work, making use of the GORE-TEX windstopper, and when at work just flip it and bam you are going in with a suit, without having to carry around an ugly ass raincoat
hard pass. blazers/suit jackets aren't going backwards in terms of cut a d silhouette. They should have tried a 2/3 roll so they could get the right button cut and the ability to button up high for cold weather.
This is not a hate comment but a curious question, do you not lift weights because you want to keep an aesthetic / fit? I feel like for someone who cares so much about their appearance it would help to get some mass on you
