Yessss I love Sag Harbor! Also Liz Claiborne, Alfred Dunner, Talbots, Chico’s, Wilson’s Leather, Bill Blass, Wasserman, Worthington…I could go on and on but those are some older brands that I always find and are usually so so good
My friend and I used to make fun of Chico's back in the 90s bc that's where her mom always shopped (her mom is a really cool art teacher type though). Now I thrift Chico ALL THE TIME.
i just hate that the filters for depop dont even work anymore 😒 ill put xl and itll still show me L and M pieces, its such an annoying bug to sift through all that stuff
I also love thrifting on Facebook and Mercari! Mercari has a lot of stuff and ppl sell cheap on there. And Facebook has marketplace of course, but I often join vintage fashion FB groups and ppl list insane pieces on there. Sellers don't have to worry about fees so they can price stuff a lot more reasonably, tho ppl do sell stuff for high price points sometimes. But there is so much true vintage on FB, even antique stuff (1900s era), so highly recommend
I have so much cool vintage and stuff to sell but i dont have the patience to sell online anymore. I end up donating it and tell myself that that's how younger me found everything, so i should give someone else a chance. But if prefer to give it away to people who i know will wear it.
Shoutout The Vintage Clubhouse!! I'm a live host for them on WhatNot! One time you joined in my live and I had a little fan girl moment LOL - We have great deals $1 - $5 Starts and we host shows at least 2X a week. Thanks Laini!!
yeah, most of these don't really work for Europe, and then theres a difference between UK and "mainland" Europe I suppose. To me Vinted is the best, not the absolute greatest system but there's just so many people on there so there's a lot of variety. You can search by brand and size etc as well. Vestiaire also works for Europe (and you can select Europe to search locally) but it's mostly for designer brands and kind of expensive.
I’m in the U.K., so might be different for mainland Europe but I’ve had success with depop and eBay. I tend to use Vinted more, it’s similar to depop but runs a bit cheaper
I use Vinted a lot. In Germany there’s also Kleinanzeigen which is like Facebook marketplace and used to be owned by eBay. It’s used more for furniture but if you’re looking for something super specific, you can sometimes find it there!
