EDIT: new update fixed the workshop finally woo! that means all the aim training maps are fully functional again 🥳 sorry it took so long, i was just too anxious about public speaking for so long 😭 i added a small summary after every section to highlight the keypoints, but you can continue asking questions on my twitter: twitter.com/sorathot i do plan on going more in depth with console things once i get the opportunity to play it more, but that might take a while, so here are a few additional resources for finding the right sens for you on console from overwatch 1 that still work for overwatch 2: how to find the best console widowmaker settings for yourself: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JqBbswsmqYs.html how to play widowmaker on console 2021: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JZCR1xnZGnc.html
You’re pretty great at speaking! Whatever happened to make you anxious about it when you were younger isn’t around anymore. You’re not pretending, you are creating top tier content. Keep up the great work!
”I am nowhere near good yet” proceeds to show the most insane gameplay and create the most comprehensive and easily understandable yet amazingly thurough aim guide in the history of both OW1 and OW2. Okay soradot pop off 😭😭😭❤️
Been using these settings on PS5, and I have to say it’s taking time to get used to but progress is progress. I’ve had competitive matches where I miss headshots with widow and fail to keep up with the eliminations costing my team the victory. But the regret I feel from letting my team down just fuels my passion to improve and practice. You’ve got a great mindset about improvement and I’ve gotta say that it’s rubbed off on me. Thanks for the video.
hey man, you have a really powerful mentality (at least the one portrayed in the video). Your last couple of points really resonated with me. I came for an aim guide and I got a healthy, grounded reality check. Please keep spreading your compassionate, reality-based mindset and help others not to look away
kudos to your clear dedication in creating a guide that's both effortless in its transparency and very well thought out. your passion for the game & drive to get better is admirable. i'm sure these tips will take anyone who watches this video's gameplay to the next level. :)
Thank you so much for making this guide. I play almost exclusively on console but wanted to try PC OW2 and noticed I was really, really bad at aiming, but this guide really helped me out. Now I can actually be confident with shots when playing people like Ashe, Soldier, Sojourn, etc, so thanks a bunch
Wanted to let you know that I started doing your aim training regiment in CTO4V about a week - 2 weeks ago. Every time I jump on I’m doing 75 kills a piece with your rotation of cree, tracer, widow. Today, I noticed a dramatic difference in my aim. I actually got a career high accuracy with widow of 62% in a match. It’s kinda weird that I felt a dramatic change all of a sudden so we’ll see if tomorrow when I play if it’s still there. Just wanted to say thanks because I had felt like I had hit a wall on my aim growth for awhile now but this progress is really exciting! Playing on Xbox btw.
Your points are all correct, I bought the original Overwatch a while back and have been playing since but never had as much fun as I'm having in Overwatch 2. It do feel like Overwatch 1 but I can sense quite some differences in the newer game that bought better mechanic, Gameplay while playing it. Was frustrated a lot with aiming in OW1 but while hitting aim training in OW2 and improving everyday it does make a lot of different. Awesome guide btw, It's super helpful.
Sweet vid man, I appreciate that you shared the codes to those practise maps too. Never really wanted to commit time to an external aim trainer and always try to use in-game practise tools like shooting ranges. So those custom games look perfect. Keep killing it
I’ve been bored watching all the big name streamers in Overwatch so you are a sight for sore eyes. And as a console player I am so grateful for your advice that can be applied to any platform. Really hope you like making videos enough to keep doing so :)
LITERALLY, THANK YOU... ACTUALLY. I am a completely new player inside the OW franchise, i have only played the first one about twice. I'm in love with this game and play it alot already, i just couldn't find the right sens(im a console player), seeing this really helped with how the settings work and gow to find a perfect one. I'm now aiming just a little better, not perfect. but thanks to the aim training maps you provided, they are helping me alot. thank you so much! keep up the amazing content.
This is great. I am a returning player to Overwatch since like season 8. I didn't even know custom games had this kind of functionality. This is really awsome and I'm excited to try out these aim trainers in game. Thanks for the vid!
Bro just casually drops the best aim trainning video out there, simple concise easy to understand and effective Straight up putting all other youtubers to shame when it comes to aim trainning no matter the game great job man
This is a great video! Just getting to overwatch 2 and seeing all your recommendations is extremely helpful! The small details with different characters was something I wasn’t expecting. Thank you!
dude u r a monster, even though I don't understand much English (just enough to understand the most important tips), your videos have motivated me a lot for years now and I really appreciate that. I hope you upload more content and that it goes well for you :D
All I need is some type of dead zone setting on console, it’s really difficult going from like 3 dead zone in apex or 5 in seige and then going to whatever overwatch 2 deadzone is
Thanks so much, Soradot! Your console tips guides have always been so helpful to me in finding a comfortable fit for my settings on console and absolutely made all the difference in improving my widow gameplay in ow1. Whenever I felt my aim was off I always went back to the KAVE5 aim trainer and I can’t wait to try out all of the ones mentioned here. Seriously, thanks so much for this😭I deliberately searched for your channel because of your ow1 guides to see if you learned anything about aiming differences in ow2 and I genuinely don’t trust anyone’s aim training guides and tips like yours. You present the information with clarity and transparency without holding a bias against the game and it makes all the difference. Not to put any expectations on you, but to me you always do amazing job demystifying aiming practice and the process of tweaking settings preferences for players who are looking to improve their gameplay. Thanks again and I hope you have a nice day🎶
as a new player to overwatch, i enjoyed your criticism of the game and players near the end. This is my first time watching a overwatch video and i enjoyed all of it i will be using your tips, and setting for console to better myself as a player.
Some great tips dude I wanna get better at Handsoap and Thiccmaker. Congrats on posting with your anxiety we really appreciate the effort you put in and i'm proud of ya :D
I usually dont write comments but your video really helped me become a better player (atleast I hope so)! It was well spoken and down to earth with many good tips. I also use your custom mode.
So I’ve been playing overwatch since release and I’m using your settings for Console it definitely feels so much smoother I could never figure out why when I was aiming that It just dragged me away from target or towards target I wasn’t aiming at so thank you and keep up the good work brother and I subbed
Very nice video 😄 just what i needed, i am struggling pretty hard at the moment with my aim in OW 2 compared to the original. Gonna work it out with this video beside it, and see what works for me :D Many thanks!
thank you so much for uploading this video. i fell off playing ow1 for a long time for various reasons, on console and pc. having issues with bnet on pc so i'm going at it on console again after 4 years and it's a rough adjustment so far. it's like having to learn the game all over again, but at least now i can take a few steps in a direction that may help me out :') it's been rough trying to figure out cohesive aim settings that i'm happy with across all heroes so i'm def gonna try out your settings and see where they get me
I'm so glad this video exists, I stayed away from OW1 because I was just so awful at aiming, just sticking to playing paladins because I felt it to be easier. With OW2 I finally gave things a second chance after years of getting a bit more used to PC shooters. I'm still awful but every now and then I've hit some crazy PotGs and have enough confidence to play characters like Widow.
Great video! I'm a console player and recently started playing overwatch for the first time, this is hard as sh*t. I liked Ashe but my aim so bad, that currently I focused on supports :(
This is such a great guide, honestly the best one I’ve seen yet! I was getting frustrated because yeah, I thought the game was a reskin of OW1, now I wanna go home and fix some settings and work on improvement.
I've been using the codes for a week now and have seen a big difference in my aim. Placed silver in OW1 in DPS would not touch it again since my aim was horrible. Did my DPS rankings this morning I'm gold 3. Damage and solo kills jumped significantly.
Thank u so much for this! I’m new to fps games in general, ow2 is the first game I’ve been actually pretty good at. My aim needs alot of improvement so this is very helpful! I main bastion because i play the best as him, i can play some other heros but I definitely want to be more versatile :))
I just started playing overwatch 2, I never played 1 at all. I'm enjoying it a lot and I have felt the aiming was fairly comfortable, I haven't noticed anything off about it, so I think you are right players just aren't used to the differences from 1 and haven't adjusted their settings properly to suit them in a new game, instead of just using what worked for them in the old one. That being said, my aim is just functional right now but this video gave me some good tools to help without giving me unrealistic expectations. I hope in the future when the workshop is up, you give us more tips for aim training and do more videos. Be confident, you made a great video!
In terms of your hot take I agree. Plus Overwatch is so much more than just being able to aim well. Game sense and ult economy and so much other stuff really do factor into it. You can miss half your shots and still win because you have better ult usage.
Excellent, I've been looking for some good in-game aim trainers, thank you for this! Some good stuff here I didn't know about. One thing I've always wondered is the differences between mouse grip styles, hand and arm positioning on the desk, that kind of thing. I've played with my hand planted on the edge of the desk for decades, which affects how I have to set sensitivity and dpi. Would love your thoughts on that topic.
i think it would be impossible to tell you which mouse grip i use, because whenever i think about it, it doesn’t feel natural LOL. personally though my chair does need to be an exact height and i measure the distance i need to be away from my desk by my foot position haha. so basically, yeah for me personally it does effect my aim if i don’t have it all setup the way i like
LOL i didn’t make the aim trainer, i only updated the code so it would include the new ow2 heroes. i left real credits of the person who made it in the description of the custom game (:
hey mr soradot i saw your graphic options and you forgot something, when you take damage your screen turn to red and you can turn that off or low Options > video > graphic options > damage fx > Low thanks for the guide
A problem I have with aiming in this game is that the enemy characters move way too fast, and Widow's shot takes forever to charge, so by the time I have enough shot power to kill them they always move out of the way and jump unpredictably. I also have a hard time telling their head apart from the rest of their body. On some characters like Zarya it's easy, but on other it's almost impossible. Like Torb, especially when he uses Overload I literally just see one orange blob with no way to tell where his head is. Also, characters with hats and weird head accessories are a pain because sometimes I shoot the hat or whatever they are wearing and it doesn't register as headshot. And it's impossible to aim at "head level" because every character's height is totally different and varies too much, _(head level for Rein and Tracer are vastly different)_ and some are hunching/leaning forward so it's hard to tell their head apart.
I am addicted to Overwatch 2. Played the first one for 3 years and I am happy to come back. My only complaint is that there is no Fov slider on console. Orisa is addictive to play
As someone who's played Overwatch since release, I recommend the following additions: Reduce Buffering: On NVIDIA Reflex: Enabled Recoil Recovery Aim Compensation: You probably want it off
For more experienced players of console, I highly recommend turning on exponential ramp with low aim smoothing. Hard to get used to, but it has a lot more potential
I’ve never got the hang on keyboard and mouse even though I know it’s far more accurate, I’m stuck using controller versus people using it sadly, and with no aim assist. I hope I can get better in time with these tips
Just a small thing, this will make it easier for everyone. Would you be able to put the codes in the description next time just so it makes it quick and easy...Really good video though THANK YOU!!!
these aim trainers are legit tysm, I am also happy about the mature outlook of the game.I am sick of everyone click baiting about the DDOS and all this stuff like okay cool lets get to real content now.
i think changing settings did probably help people. Not, because it does anything nessercerly, but because of the Placebo effect. People got probably a way better mentality after switching some settings and that made them actual better
