Now comes the second worst decision, do I need to eat or buy these games? And the first worst decision comes next, do I need to sleep or do I "invest" my time gaming instead?
Thank you for including Shrine's Legacy on this list. 🙏 Although we mostly market it as a co-op Action RPG, we deeply appreciate you recognizing our Zelda influences and hope more people see it. Honestly, about 50% of the gameplay is very Zelda-like (particularly the elements used in combat and for puzzle-solving). -Alan
I like how the protagonist of the first game is a mouse, in the seconds it's a cat, so maybe a dog for the 3rd one? Lol. And I hope the douchebag character will return or at least have a cameo, he was my favourite.
Everything about Mina the Hollower screams quality - you just know it’s going to be good. Shrine’s legacy and hazelnut Bastille are my other most Anticipated
I love how your sponsors are actual video games instead of shitty mobile cash grabs. Legit the only media in the world that has made me want to buy a game based on the ads.
I played the scrabdackle demo. Definately one of the most fun games I've played! Elementis felt a big sluggish and had some wierd hitbox issues in the demo.
Ronin Trail - I completely forgot its name! One of my MOST ANTICIPATED. the graphics and vibe and movement all look awesome of this as per the title wandering (masterless samurai) hopefully open-world choose where you will go game. Just looks to hit the mark in the bullseye from the footage.
Nice eye! I may check this out now that you mentioned Brave Fencer Musashi! I could not get into Brave Fencer Musashi's sequel but Angeline Era might fit the bill.
Thank you for sharing. We have received a lot of positive contact with localization cooperation during this period of time, and the Land of Vonimir well be perfectly vivid next year .❤
IIRC, there was a game out there in development that had monster taming, and lots of hats that you could put on them. The main feature that caught my attention was that you had a Pocket Garden, which let you duplicate materials and consumable items inside it using a grid-based puzzle mechanic. I THINK I might have heard about it from you, but I can't find it again. EDIT: Creature Keeper! That's it!
Wow, so many promising games! I supported some of the campaigns. I am confident that the quality of indie games will improve each year: studios gain experience and some great newcomers. I am looking forward to a soulslike list.
SWEET, Blud is shown here! I'm getting more excited for that one. That one's kind of like a younger sister or niece to Cookie Cutter, in the sense of fantastic animation, an angry and determind girl as the protagonist, over-the-top violence and gore. Though considering the setting, it's not as in the "mature" direction as CC.
I wish Nintendo would go back to making Zelda games like a link to the past... that still is my favorite Zelda game ever... I feel the newer Zelda games just don't have the same formula as the og Zelda games.
Really nice! How different independent games are. With all colors and artistic graphics and new and new styles. They are not like aaa games that are all online games or first person shooters!
The ballad of Bonky is one of my most hyped games. I played the demo, and loved it way too much. I played through the demo multiple time and I don't have time to do that! Please wishlist the game, I sure hope the full game is on par with the demo and I wish the dev great success!
The sheer speed which people label a languishing kickstarted product a "scam" despite there being tons of footage and even playable builds is hilarious.
Great games await us in 2024. Little Devil Inside is getting more spectacular every day. I really like pixel art, 1bit, 16bit etc, but, it's funny, I don't think the Nintendo 64 is cool. I was a big 64 enthusiast at the time, but I think the graphics haven't aged well.
I was wondering if we’d see Little Devil Inside on this list, and sure enough. Maybe a month ago an artist posted some scenes from the game on art station, there are suspicions this was allowed because the game has been canned and now the developer is shopping their work for new work. Oh well :(
I was in the Duel Corp playtest at the beginning, and it was so bad that I just stopped playing. The good news is that it looks like it has jumped 10 levels graphically since then (let’s just hope the gameplay has jumped 50 levels)
Horn of Balance is iterally a TLOZ ALTTP clone, even animations and assets I would say are 1:1 stolen, however I don't mind if the devs going through with this it's probably an insta buy for me.
You can enjoy this game guilt-free, my friend. All the visuals, sound effects, music, coding and story are actually custom made and different compared to ALTTP. LOVE the response though 😉
@@martijndh Don't get me wrong, "stolen" might be be a harsh word for this but for me it's more like an loveletter to one of my top 3 games of all time, maybe we call it "inspired" instead ;D
@@ashhw1984 No worries. As the dev I just wanted to at least respond in case someone out there took it literally. (Trust me, no joke, they exist 😅) I did like the original post though 😄And you nailed it on the head with the love letter comment. It's such a shame Nintendo isn't making games like this themselves any more.
@@martijndh For a time I really thought Nintendo would someday in the future maybe release their games on PC, however I think one of Nintendo's philosophy pillars is that they still try to make their games as bugfree and stable as possible for realease, however PC's are so different in terms of hardware and components it's quite impossible to give "all" customers a great support. Look a the clusterfuck so called AAA studios get out these days. I think shareholding has destroyed or at least change the gaming industry in a way that is not good for the coreaudience. However I'm still aware that these days coregamers are not the main income consumer that fuels the industry anymore. I wish you all of best luck and success with your game ♥ I always and still dreaming of creating my own game however I'm 39 by now and have no clue how to program in first place xD guess some dreams never come true ;)
Fountains is quite good, Horn of balance looks way too much like ALTTP for me to get excited about it, and I don’t like that GBC looking game that looks exactly like the oracle games… I barely want to play a Zelda game that looks that ugly, so a clone is even less enticing! Bring on Zwaard, and Vessels of decay, I need to cleanse my pallet
About 10 of these are false promises, we all know the names by now. No hate on the developers though, it’s hard and delays are common, but let’s not have expectations that are unrealistic. Best is to just let the games come when they do, and enjoy it then.
I don't get how everybody says, that Shrines Legacy is hardly inspired by Secret of Mana, when its crystal clear that its a big hommage to Golden Sun 🫠🦖
