I got the device more than 10 days ago, and used it for 3 days, and this is my impression: Pros: 1- The thumbstick is the best ever, and it improves your accuracy in shooting games, and there is no drift, even with zero selection in the deadly point, and with the maximum speed mode, it is truly amazing and amazing. 2- The control screen is fantastic and very beautiful, it made the adjustment fast and comfortable. 3- The buttons are very great, especially the arrow buttons, I no longer make a mistake in pressing the left and up arrows, I am currently using a GameSir device, and the arrows in it are bad, when you press the left arrow, the up arrow is pressed with it!! Cons: 1- The R B and L B buttons are not prominent enough, and this is something that bothered me somewhat, sometimes you do not realize that you pressed them!! 2- The same applies to the rear wing buttons, they are not prominent and difficult to reach. 3- The hand size is a bit big, and when I hold it it is a bit uncomfortable, unlike the GameSir, the GameSir controller is very comfortable, and the size is acceptable. 4- When I was playing and the wire was connected for charging, I was subjected to continuous electric shock from the small golden circles designated for wireless charging on the back, which bothered me a lot, and I had to return the controller after using it for three days, but it seems to be a manufacturing defect. In the end, thank you, my dear brother, for the wonderful review.
My only gripe (and it might be a MAJOR nitpick) is that there are no microswitches when the trigger stops are activated. Mind speaking to how the triggers feel?
This controller looks awesome probably controller of the year I was the one who found this controller on the internet so Logan can do a video about it adjusting dead zone are for forza horizon or any other racing game it’s a great company I wish other like Astro make controllers too also usb c is a must not micro or mini
I am a total tech member at Best Buy so I will probably buy the controller knowing that I'm covered when it breaks in a few months. I do have a question. Do you have to plug the charging cable into the Xbox? It looks like you could plug the USB dongle directly into the Xbox and plug the charging dock into any USB port.
I use the big big won adapter macro and motion sensor on my xbox crontroller so i like the back button placement and mine will be here tomorrow dec 22. i bought mines from turtle beach . with a 10 percent discount 189 something 231 in all 2 day shipping.can't wait.
Did you have any issues with your vibration being super loud and sounding whiny? Wondering if I got a defective unit or if they just used poor vibration motors in the controller and I should return it (support won't get back to me with an answer for some reason)
Couldn't really hear how loud the buttons are in the video because of the music 😢 are they as bad as the standard controller buttons noise wise? Been Looking for a quieter controller for so long now
Good professional perfect video I have two questions 1. I play competitive games and I always need the cable..I have a razer controller without battery...only with the cable...my question is if I always connect this controller with the cable I risk burning the battery? or does it block and therefore I don't risk ruining it? the second question, what type of silicone cup would you recommend me to buy to cover the analogue ones? thanks for your time
Yes, the controller stops charging when it's done. It has an auto cut off even if the cable is connected. As for the sticks caps, the ones that come with it are great, but if you don't like them, I suggest Skull & Co. You can find them on Amazon.
No ls or rs programability to the back paddles. The unofficial tb on reddit claims its coming in a software update but i dont believe it. Its either a quality control overlook having a massive missing feature that rs and ls are not programable to the back paddles or they really wont be programable as they never soldered them to be programable. As of now we dont know if rs and ls will ever be programable to the back paddles.
G7se is a 35$ controller with hall effect joysticks. 2 back buttons that are lockable that can be programable to ls and rs. I play r6siege. Lean is ls and rs when adsing and running ls and melee rs when not adsing. I use elite series 2 with 3 paddles ls, rs and B(crouch). I paid 120 for elite 2 with everything and 20 for a 3 yr warranty that does include stick drift. 140 total for an elite 2 3 yr warranty. I use g7 se 2 back buttons are ls and rs. Paid 35$ on sale has a 1 yr warranty. This tb stealth ultra controller is useless for me unless they add programability to ls and rs. Crazy qc overlook if it's just a software update...
I really like this controller. I was doubtful when I ordered it, but I’m really impressed with it since I got it. I actually prefer it to my custom battle beaver. We’ll see if it holds up over the next year or so.
There is a controller update. You have to unplug the cable from the dock and plug it in your pc and then go back to software and the controller update should show up. 1.3
Doesn’t turn on the Xbox. It does shut off the Xbox but once you go to turn it back on again, they controller don’t work you gotta reset it with the little button on the back and start everything over again and if that works usually takes about an hour before you can figure it out.
That isn't right at all. Mine wakes up the console with just a slight delay, but you shouldn't have to reset it like that so often. I would honestly exchange it. It really is a great controller.
@@thetimeisrite I actually didn’t, I decided they were too new and I think more time is needed to see how well they last beyond a week or a few days the reviewers had with it, not that they aren’t good reviews, it’s just if I’m spending 200+ bucks shits gotta last. I’ll check those out though thanks.
@dr.chungusphd108 I just returned mine to best buy. Battery life is horrible, definitely not the 30 hours they advertise. It also has a cheap plastic feeling. Has some cool features but definitely does not worth the $200 price tag. Elite 2 much better and better price!
I like the fast charge and the fill of it but I don't see the 30 hours play time .about two hours into it it's at half charge maybe 8 hours play time and I don't like how the only lights are on the side no xbox home button light it fells really cheap
My wife Bought me this for Christmas 😂! Im so ready to use it but im nervous. My main concern is just longevity... I hate my elite series 2. Its comfy , and cool. But the xbox sx controller is just so much faster. I am for sure buying gamesir controller
@@RedBandanaGaming I guess I'm lucky because my hands are small. I've always preferred the standard size. But for those people with bigger hands I understand the disappointment. I'm hoping the underside buttons are useable. I could never get used to the paddles on the Series 2. I always hit them by accident because my fingers suck. I also hold my controller different then most. I place my index finger on the buttons and my middle fingers on the triggers. Leaving only my pinky and ring finger underneath.
Do I have to download the turtle beach app on the Xbox to use the controller or do I need to do that from a pc? I don’t have a pc all I have is a Xbox series S
@@RedBandanaGaming thanks, I’ll try to upgrade my windows 7 laptop to get that ready when I’m able to get this controller because I have the turtle beach recon controller and I have terrible left stick drift and I can’t get the left stick back to center but I’m sure with this new controller I won’t have to worry about stick drift anymore. I love your reviews and game reviews especially for gta 6 I can’t wait to play that and with this new turtle beach controller it’s going to be great 👍 thanks for your help
I'm really enjoying this controller. I go back and fourth between this and the Gamesir G7 SE as my daily drivers. Both have hall effect sticks and I can definitely see the difference during gameplay. I think it's a solid choice if the price doesn't bother you.
@RedBandanaGaming I already got the controller brought it for $150 plus $6 shipping it is new but I also had gotten the elite 2 controller for 100 one needs to go back. Can't decide which one to keep
The best Xbox controller is, and will forever remain, the variant of ps5 controller that you prefer to use. Nothing out there compares to in terms of the calibration of the ps4/5 controller’s analog sticks. As someone who owns 40+ controllers, and does not own a ps5 (I can’t even software calibrate my dual senses/edges analogs) I always use my dualsense edge for any type of competitive play. Luckily I prefer only 2 back buttons for CoD. I rotate from DSE, and a dual sense bdm-030 with extreme rate back paddles and clicky button/trigger kit
I couldn't disagree more. You have the right to your opinion on that and it's cool, but any controller with a PS stick layout is and will always be inferior to the Pro layout used by Xbox and Switch Pro controllers. Nacon makes the best PS controller, Rev Pro, because they use offset Xbox stick layout.
@@RedBandanaGaming to each their own my friend, and I respect your opinion. But if you are looking for precise control of your movement/aiming/tracking etc, ps gamepads just have the finer calibrated analogs. I’ll agree that Xbox layout is more ergonomically comfortable (as I use Xbox gamesir g7se and/or XBE for RPG games) but when it comes to absolute precision of analog inputs, I haven’t found any worthwhile comparison from the Xbox lineup. Hopefully one day I can have the ergonomics and precision duo, but until then, it’s a dualsense edge through a brook adapter! Ntm, u have the ability to play with much better poll rate. Outside of the g7se, I don’t think there is an Xbox controller polling at 1000hz. Not only that, they are all poll rate locked and cannot be overclocked
You're better off buying an evil controller or a scuff controller over this one. At that price point the turtle Beach controller is just not worth it. I will be returning mine. I'm a FPS player and they dropped the ball with this one.
@@louiereyes8658 ok well you don’t go in to any detail at all you can’t just say you don’t like it or they dropped the ball with out giving an explanation as to y they dropped the ball ??
@@louiereyes8658 You have issues dialing in the analog sticks? You never explained the meaning of your problem. Sounds to me you just hate the controller and didn’t have a good experience.
Can anyone help, when i got this controller it connected without fail But now the second day it womt connect, ive tried wireless and wired, the wired is connected tothe xbox to controller and still not working. When I go to wireless xbox/pc and hit activate and pairing, it blinks and nothing else, anyone know how to fix this?????????
Have you tried using the app? If you haven't, try downloading the app, then connect it when it prompts you too. If this doesn't work, contact Turtle Beach customer support. There might be a fix for it via PC download or update.
Anyone having issues with it staying paired to the xbox? im having to re-pair it to the xbox everytime i want to play. Also having issues with the firmware updating on the controller itself. i have it updated in the app and i connect fine. But the controller itself wont update
Very disappointed in the use of membrane bumpers. As I'm a bumper jumper the left bumper is always the first thing that wears out for me. Also, no longer joystick options? Seems like they are ignoring the FPS crowd. Still going to be Elite 2 for me which sucks.
I just got it and updated it on my laptop. It won’t connect to my console even after I updated it. No connection with a hardwire either anyone have the same issues?
The reviews on Amazon would indicate turtle beach screwed the pooch hard on this two hundred abomination. I'm sitting with a hexgaming ultra for $190, I'm not keeping it, but it's better than the turtle beach.
@@victor7777 well you missed out cuz having a dongle is not bad at all it s. A better way of having wireless in my Opinion you it has the doc were it plugs in to right save n you a slot ??? So your reason have no basis at cuz it was designed for Xbox
Red bandana this is my birthday month on the 31 first my name Joseph can you review a metallic ice controller and if you do a giveaway of the metallic ice controllers can you enter me please
@@abelke hmm I double checked and ur right. I'm going to edit my comment, but I think 250 is still unacceptable for a 2023 controller. Thanks for the correction.
They'll be having plenty of open box deals in the coming days. A lot of people including myself returned it. Cheap plastic feeling and battery life is horrible. Sucks cuz I was super excited for this controller
Yea I gave the controller a shot but returned mine to best buy. Battery life is trash, not even close to the 30 hours they say it has. Definitely not worth the $200 price tag
