I was duped by a man who told me he and his wife were divorced. He had 2 kids. He said he didn’t want me to meet his kids yet bc he didn’t want the fact that he had a new girlfriend cause issues with his ex wife and cause issues with him seeing the kids. I bought it. He was married. But, as soon as I found out, I walked away and I told his wife. I thought she should know what he had been doing. She ended up staying with him, which I found pathetic but to each their own. I’m sure he continued to cheat on with other women. The amount of elaborate lies he told her so he could spend time with me were insane. I only know about this bc she asked me if I spent 4th of July week with him, told her yes, and she proceeded to tell me the elaborate lie he told his family to get away. There were more examples like that.

I'm wondering how closely did they look at the girlfriend. I think she lied about not having a sexual relationship with the husband. I also think she lied about being confronted by the wife.She could of borrowed his truck. Maybe she knew how to shoot a rifle but did not know enough to remove the shells. It's a matter of public record. My sister and I both tried some online dating, we just came out and told the guys hey I need to run a complete background check on you. The gentleman like guys were always like, not a problem whatsoever.

I know I'll be attacked, but I'm tired of the "woman of faith" mantra, when it doesn't match actions. Daughter of a Baptist preacher, goes on mission trips,...and then proceeds to marry three times?! When you're that age, you should know better than to get caught up in "whirlwind romances"; especially with a man who is not even divorced yet. What religious people will never say is, sometimes our own sin leads us into the path of evil people, and it leads to our own destruction. It doesn't exonerate Travis or Mary Beth's guilt, but if you do what is right, you don't end up with these people in your life at all.
