This channel is gold. The content is incredibly useful and you actually give practical , realistic tips for free rather then the same old motivational , useless talk some others give. Much respect.

In the early stages there are different options. It is called soft money, could be government grants, loans etc. Usually varies a lot from country to country

Great video as always. However, fundraising really seems to be a rather unequal process where mostly people with rather large networks can really thrive and succeed. Leaving behind a dramatically huge portion of the population who might not necessarily be well connected enough. As an immigrant founder myself, from a non-traditionally tech-oriented city, (i.e. not L.A., San Francisco, Boston or NY) and a definitely very limited network, I am confronted to this issue every day. And I live in a fairly large city. I just can't imagine how difficult or straight up impossible it might be for people living in rural communities for instance or coming from traditionally overlooked, non-tech backgrounds. I simply can't imagine the awful lot of potential great ideas that is being lost every year due to this regrettable bias.

Heini. Can you recommend someone to look over my shoulder for our capital raise. Took your advice a year ago. Pitch deck is ready. We manufacture loudspeakers for live events. Raising 20 million for 20%. Pre money valuation is about 50 million. 25 years in business but raising capital is not what I do. Thanks in advance for info. Appreciate all you do!!!! Chris.

I've always done this myself, but if you need help you could find a local advisor or banker. Make sure they have experience in this sort of fundraise.
