Great memories there. I was going to recommend that to you while watching your KL vlog. I really like Penang. Been there in the '80's & tasted lots of Rotis, satay & sugar cane juice, etc. Visited that place so many times for visa trips. Those were the days! :)
The hawker food scene in Penang is considered the best in Malaysia. Some notable dishes to try are Hokkien Mee (noodles), Char Kway Teow, Popieh and Cendol
0:41 - The man was not the first discoverer of "George town". He is just a colonial representative to expand economic and political dominance. The original name of George Town is "Tanjung Penaga", a name given by the Malays who settled here early because there are many sea cucumber trees ( Penaga ) found growing in the cape, around the area.
Interesting location to visit. Melaka Town ( Melaka state ) also get a recognition from UNESCO as a world heritage city. The cities of Melaka and George Town have been recognized as the first and second world heritage sites in the cultural site category. The cultural and architectural features found in Melaka are the result of its glorious history where Melaka has been known as a center of trade and culture for over 500 years and has been a link to Eastern and Western powers.
Go to the Batu Ferrenghi night market. Huge, but the best part is the hawker center food court. Delish! I think there are a couple of traffic laws that you have failed to break yet.😂 Coffee? How appropriate for you.
