22:20 I don't know why the OP was so against it being Ace Attorney when they describe the first seconds of the first game shot for shot, but mistook the statue for a bone. Capcom, white screen, long object on top screen that suddenly drips blood onto a wooden floor, creepy music, then dialog? That's the opening, just without the title screen. I even recognized the opening from the description before the part of the post where they shoot down Ace Attorney as a possibility. I found the post and they said it's because they remember it being in the center of the screen and don't remember there being a hand, but if they were a kid that freaked out and shut it off immediately due to being scared then it's not surprising that they don't remember it perfectly over a decade later. I had my own case of 'unidentified media' that I saw as a kid that I later realized was a Gumby cartoon and due to being so long ago and being a kid there was a lot of stuff I misremembered or misunderstood. Kid brains just do that. 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure if this has been suggested, but the “Blue Chin Guy” music video mentioned at 19:12 could be “The River” by a Canadian band called “The Tea Party”. In Brazil we have decade long search for a incomplete (30 seconds) instrumental song that was first used in the mid-80s by a national TV network. It's easily recognizable by the entire population of the country by multiple generations of kids because it was broadcasted daily for 30 years yet nobody can trace its name or country origin. It's definitely the most heard unidentified song in the world. It was branded by the community as the 'Chapolin Opening Polka BGM'. There are multiple posts in english describing the extensive search conducted.

40:00 The “Knockoff Bee Movie” reminds me of the cancelled “Beebylon” cgi movie that Dreamworks may have stolen the idea for Bee Movie from. They released some trailers back in 2007, but a lot of the content from the movie is currently lost. My theory for this particular story is that the OP was part of an unusual test screening for an unfinished version of the film he was describing.

The serial killer mom one with the stitching parts together is probably the movie pieces an old classic 80s horror movie. You literally described the exact plot of it. The dying girl one from the way she sings it sounds like a brighten song almost a somewhat obscure emo band. The cadence of the singing reminds me of television.

re the hamster wheel short: a similar thing happened to youtuber rebeltaxi several years ago. iirc very early one morning in the early 2000s he was flipping through channels, stopped on cartoon network/boomerang, and found an old b&w war movie playing for a few minutes. he was actually able to find out the name of the movie but i forgot ^^; i forget the technical aspects, but it likely happened due to a internal mix up at turner broadcasting i bring this up because while this is super rare, it *does* happen. its entirely possible that some weird experimental film was shown on nick by mistake. but ofc, that's just a possibility nit a guarantee

Also the unidentified cartoon woman with the glasses could be one of the evil teachers from the bailey school kids novels, theyre super goddamn obscure but i distinctly remember one of the book's covers having a very similar looking evil teacher lady on them lol.

The description of the song matches and there is a section of the song that has similar structure. “Standing, stalling, always falling, story of my life. Dying, chasing, who will face me, always giving up, standing stalling always falling, story of my life” the song came out in 2008, I know they said they wrote down some lyrics, but memory can twist things. it’s a fair guess.

If you find "Voli Te Tvoja Zver Divlji Andjeli" you will hear the similarities, and they have called the lead singer I think and he confirmed it. It was on news blogs here in Serbia, and there should be extensive reddit post about it also.

I actually first saw that FBI warning being featured on a video by Oddity Archive. I never would have known it was actually apart of unidentified media! The only other clue is that whatever content played after that warning is "educational" so my only guess would be it came from some obscure/low budget educational children's VHS.

does anyone know what the best place to look for something that has haunted me forever is - a stop motion animation, but shadow silhouette type, like they're paper cut outs. the basic plot that has scarred me since I was a kid is that it shows a bunch of women being pregnant, with their "babies" being in balloons floating above them connected to their stomachs. however, one of said balloons pops and the woman it was attached to is distraught and mourning (miscarriage??) That last one reminded me of a creepy claymation I saw at an exhibition once that I can't find again. I saw it at ACMI in Melbourne, Australia, a museum for film, animation and videogames, sometime between 2007-2011. It was about a fat woman and her white cat. The woman starts peeling herself with a potato peeler to make herself thin. She then begins feeding her cat the peelings. I very vividly remember a shot where she walks up to the cat's food bowl and plops a pile of her "peelings" into it. My memory might be hazy but I think the way it ended was that her cat becomes fat and she collapses and possibly dies from becoming too thin. I just remember it being so disturbing that it left an impression on me.

I'm not sure if its been lost to time or not, but it was basically Minecraft on crack, but it also reminded me of Castleminer Z in a way if any of yall remember that. Here's everything I recall from it. 1: The enemies were WEIRD. That 'Source Of Life' thing just barely scratches the surface [I remember him being non-hostile]. There was only 1 enemy in the game that was normal, and that was a bear and I think a polar bear. The rest were crazy creatures like worms with scorpion legs, giant fuzzy spiders, skeletons, and mythological beings like dragons and bassilisks. There were bosses too, and were marked by a PNG of a skull next to their names. 2: Bosses ranged from being either giant versions of enemies, completely original creations, or dragons. I remember a giant spider boss named Aragog. 3: Combat, and weapons in general were weird. 'Swords' and Axes were items, and you crafted a bundle of them instead of an actual sword that loses durability. So you could 'Stack' Swords and have a weapon that will break after 99 hits essentially. Combat consisted of tapping on a thing until it died or you died. Riveting gameplay, I know. There was mining, crafting, building, basic stuff for a Minecraft clone. Edit: After doin some searching, I found a wiki to this game! One of them is named Phineas. He turns into a small blue ninja with a red head band. Another one turned into a tiger with armor. The last one turned into a yellow and black robot. They fought this small red demon and a few other bastards I don't know about. They could all turn into balls and raced around a futuristic track. And if you're wondering: No, it isn't Bakugan, B-Daman, Monsuno, OR Ninjago. This has been on my mind for years.

I think the TV show bumper was one of the animated ads for the video game psychonauts. Psychonauts has a character named sheegor who fits that description very well and psychonauts ads were aired as tv bumpers in adult swim and mtv

Guys I need help finding my own lost media. I know it’s definitely real but I can’t find it. When I was about 5 and at my great grandmas house we’d watch tv some times. My family is very Christian so we’d watch shows like veggietales and that. I would watch this show a lot but for years I can’t find it. I found it about 2 or 3 years ago with the help of my mom, but I immediately forgot it. The setting was at a farm/in a barn, the only live action human character was a blonde woman. She played with green puppets and other animal puppets. From my memory the show was pretty Christian. I remember some segments where they would sing but I can’t remember any songs for the life of me. It’s not anything like PJ Katie’s Farm, Sesamie Street, Nanalan’, or that stuff. The years it looks it was made were 80s-90s but when I saw it was maybe 2000s-2010s if you find anything help me!!
