If you can't find a Bible based conservative church in your area, there are plenty of Bible churches that livestream or have their services online. Join an online Christian faith fellowship or support forum for encouragement. Lastly, maybe there's a Bible study group in your area that gets together to study God's Word and for fellowship. I am a member of a PCA church. That's Presbyterian Church in America, that split from the Presybterian Church USA back in the 70s. We are still a strong biblical, reformed denomination.

It's been happening for decades. I knew when they put in the big digital screens, electric guitars, giant speakers, and decided that a church service was supposed to look and feel like a rock concert. That's when we high-tailed it out of there. We can read the Bible ourselves, and with the internet and other books as resources to help with interpretation, we don't need the "concert", nor the "alternative" lifestyles being paraded around.

That is an excellent point. Upon reflection, I can see that such pomp and pageantry is played up in many carnal arenas - politics, sports, business, and yes, even religion. Quite a shame, though, that the UMC did the O'Jays music dirty like that.

I' m a Baptist, too. My heart breaks when I see the UMC betray the gospel and celebrate sin. Sound Methodism is beautiful. There is the GMC now, the Nazarene Church. So I think our Lord still uses Mr. Wesleys heritage.

Sad part about most Baptist is mason pastors and they don’t have the Lords supper. I left a Baptist church because they don’t have the communion because it scared that most ppl would get sick or die. Sad!

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod hasn’t gone woke. Yet, I guess.

I have pastored rural UM churches for 35 years. We were able to disaffiliate. The county seat church here remained United Methodist. Some of their members are coming to our churches now. You did the right thing to get out. Perhaps you can form a home church until God provides. God Bless.

I agree whole-heartedly. I am a first time mother at 40 with a 4 month old and am leaving my 19 year career because God gifted me with a little boy who needs me. I am also looking forward to taking care of my husband and our home. Waiting this long for a child was not by choice and is a great blessing.

Do you have some stats on stay-at-home mothers v working mothers as a percentage of the general population or is it more just general "America's going to heck in a handbasket" type grousing? Any spreadsheets on 2 working parent households in relation to cost of living expenses and ages of children? That certainly must be frustrating though. Knowing what's best for everyone and yet having to live with so many people not understanding that.

I was hoping to see that you had researched the issue and knew how many mothers work and how much, how often the other parent is present while they work, what ages their children are when working and the role of economic factors in their decision to work.

While I’m Southern & a Baptist, I am NOT a member of a SBC church. The SBC will be splitting in a few years over this very thing and are by no means, in general terms, the “gold standard”. The exception in the SBC seems to be the small country churches who are pastored by older men standing on solid Scripture while ignoring the trash coming out of Macon GA.

I believe they did the same with Steven Furtick and Elevation church.

​@@ronlee5571I go to one of the small churches that you mentioned. They welcome everyone with open arms at the door and take up your cross to follow jesus. That we love the Sinner and hate the sin. They refused to budge on that one

One UMC in my town decided to go nondenominational and independent, with the same pastor, etc. because they didn't want anyone telling them what they could or could not do.

I left UMC during COVID and stayed out after finally seeing the truth of scripture. Global Methodist ordains women. I can’t consider them, either.

Mine, too, for many generations. I am saddened, appalled.

Let’s look at some basic fundamental facts based on extensive research & ongoing R&D. During fetal development a verity of biochemical agents are introduced which determine the development of the fetus. Major agents such as testosterone & estrogen & a host of others agents determine size, weight, hair color, eye color & sexuality along with a host of other traits. Variations in the amount & timing of the introduction of these agents have a major effect in our development. The fetus is a passive participant & has no influence in these matters. Sexuality, for example, & all other secondary traits are thus given to us. Well, this begs the question, is homosexuality a sin. If your religion or belief system states that it is, then there can be no argument. These are the rules based on this system’s dogma. If you accept this system, you must accept the rules. This is your only choice which is condemnation. If, however, you are in a belief system based on logic, reason, observation & common sense, & no reliance on spirituality the conclusion is totally different. Replacing ancient religion & mythology with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both based on genetics & clearly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with you. This is the true choice. Peace

Yes. We were let by Satan to abandon our natural roles in the domestic realm and "play" man in the career and politics world. It all went downhill ever since. Homelife has been obliterated. Children have suffered. Families are broken and weak. God help us.
