“Bajo del mal” is a pun in Spanish. “Bajo del mar” means “under the sea,” and “mar” (sea) is only one letter away from “mal” (badness/evil). So the level title means something like “under the evil,” haha.
Every video Ryu has some clickbait title like “The most outrageous Super Expert run of all time”, and every time he’s telling the truth. Keep up the good work.
I just love watching you overcome incredibly difficult levels. The amount of mental fortitude you have always makes my day better, watching you encounter obstacle after obstacle and overcoming them with skill and willpower.
Ah, that first level...SMM at its finest! Many of those kind of those "technical levels" are made by Japanese players. They sure like to put players through "super expert" difficulties.
Indeed, Peter. I have seen a lot worse and/or harder, but you will end up losing a lot of lives if you encounter a level like that in a run. I would have skipped and then practised the level afterwards to beat it.
My son told me to pick him up early because you post on Fridays. My wife told me at lunch that if you livestream, don't watch it without her. She doesn't even Nintendo, bro.
Seeing that crying baby makes me crave a yoshi’s island gameplay! I know you’re busy but that would be cool to see someone of your skill tackle that game
Ryukahr, you inspired me to give SMM2 a try. I had forgotten how "weighty" Mario actually is, really makes these runs a lot more impressive in retrospect.
Well thanks Ryu you reminded me how much I miss the costumes from MM1! I think they may have removed costumes because of *insert some copyright related thing here* even though they owned many of the intellectual properties associated with the costumes in the first Mario Maker.
Wow has there ever been a run where he lost more than half his lives on the very first level? That was harsh. But that utterly savage clutch of the rest of the run was a sight to behold. I wear no hat but if I did, it would be off to ryukahr right now.
For me it was just was one of the closest run to a perfect 100 mario run with 1 10sec one troll one 50 sec right run one confusing and one precise level just need a bit of puzzle and it would have been the ultimate run loved it
What?!! I didn't know Yoshi's Island Mario costume exists in SMM this is the first time I see it after I don't know how many years watching SMM even SMM2 came out
I knew mario maker was a horrible idea for a game since day one. Ide never get this game but I do love watching others do let's plays on it. Ryu is the Mario maker god
My daughter said she gives this video a double thumbs up. Thank you for showing us that it doesn’t have to be the newest game to be fun. The Mario Maker Gamers are awesome!
Sometimes I think nintendo secretly picks the runs for us... *Ryu boots up SMM* Nintendo Japan: He's back! Okay men, you know the drill. Start him off with one of our 20s speedruns. Then throw in a technical level with no indicators. Employee #69: Sir, he's beaten the first 3 levels and remains at 88 lives. Should we give him a puzzle level? Nintendo Japan: Negative soldier. You give Ryu a ham sandwich and its only a matter of time before he adds the cheese. Keeps those clear rates low and spike counts high.
19:30 *reads the title* Oh honey... 22:45 this is why Ryu's the one I prefer to watch Was that a clickbait title? It didn't feel like a clickbait title.
Ryu, I propose that once a year, you partake in the Super(mario)bowl. Here's how it works: - It's you vs Nintendo. You play 2 runs of SMM1 100-man, and each team starts with 0 points. - For each level, you keep track of the amount of times you died. - At the end of each level, you award yourself 1 point per life you end the level with, and award Nintendo 5 points for every death. For example, say you end level 3 with 82 lives, and you died 5 times while playing the level. You would get +83, and Nintendo would get +25 (5x5 deaths). - Saving peach gives you +100, but a game over gives Nintendo +300 (gotta give them some sort of chance!). - Each "Hail Mary Skip" costs you 50 points. - After the first run, you play some sweet beats on your drum pad as the halftime show. Tweak the numbers and rules as you see fit, but if you ever do something like this, I'll be waiting with some chicken wings and beer.
You meant 'you've' instead of 'puce', right? Anyway, if you were I was thinking the same thing. He completes 100 man no skips like, 9 out of 10 times now. If puce is a word, i don't know what it means lol.
