I like how brennan made the eagle sneaking in mean that the police are super unatentitive and not kug being stealthy

The more Ricky just blandly says “awesome” to incredible magic, the funnier it gets.

The tiniest detail of Brennan pronouncing it "gif" but saying "jif" for Alejandro, now that's knowing your characters 😂

"Ask me tomorrow, and the answer will be yes" Such an underrated badass line by Sofia

that final realization.. "who is up here?" "mo'fuckin *I'm* here." genuinely made tear up. that landed perfectly for me

The party literally texting every NPC they’ve ever met like they’re the goddamn avengers

I love how this party is just a bunch of people with alot of messed up relationships and pasts and then there's just Ricky, goodboy of the year, never saw a knife fight in highschool, complete himbo, flawless human, good to his core and beyond... He really balances out the group...

Glad somebody else realizes how evil Robert Moses- he was a real person who actually made the highway system in NYC and many cities throughout the US purposefully destroying minority neighborhoods

Can we talk about how Lou nailed playing Kingston with Liz? Brennan was so fucking perfect with being Liz and then Lou with his low soft voice cracking a joke or two but telling her she was everything to him-my eyes watered. Almost cried at the Sophia part and of course with the stone lions too. God, even Esther crying while shouting about how hot Ricky is was amazing.

Idea for a mini series: Unsleeping City: Critters. Brian Murphy DMs a story where Kugrash enlists vermin heros to defeat a tiny evil. All the characters have to be the size of a rat or smaller. Rodents and insects, maybe a magical creature or two (how big do you think that excrement elemental is?). And Brennan plays Perry the Paladin Pidgeon, empowered by their undying love (or lust) for Kugrash.

The "Nat 20 and you *DIE!"* killed me!!! I love you guys!

This episode in particular made me realize the party consist of 3 lineages of great hero's who have power over reality with both the Vox's and the questing blade but also a business rat just a drunk lady and a dramatic fairy

Ricky has very big “this isn’t a beach, this is a bathtub!” Guy energy and I love it

The scene with Sophia at the top of the Empire State Building is too incredibly emotional for a game of dnd. I'm not crying, you're crying 😭😭😭

I love that Sofia is so good at playing but when she whispers advice it's never actually helpful 😂

Carl Sagan being a Paladin is a direct middle finger to the “Dumb Hot Nice” Paladin model and I respect that so much.

The most fantastical thing in this entire episode is the idea of anyone being able to get anywhere near Midtown on New Years Eve in a reasonable amount of time.

Bouta cry listening to some of this then remembered that it's freaking brennan playing an NPC telling one of his friends a heartfelt message as his spouse and I lost it. Like just it's so goddamn emersive I cannot.

I kind of love how the entire journey of Sophia becoming the chosen one is a journey of self actualization

After last episode, the humor was a much needed break. Kugrash’s stealth checks, the hiss fight, Ricky and Esther in the car, and every conversation with Alejandro were hilarious!

the more and more people invited, you can see Brennen's soul leave his body.

everything about this campaign fucking slaps. the fucking intricate character backstories and dynamics. the way reality is woven into the world. the aCTING. the way brennan seems to literally become each NPC. even the side conversations the players have. i want to live in this world dammit

Kingston and Liz’ conversation made me tear up. The heartache of loving someone who you parted ways with but finally having the conversation that’ll help understand each other better 🥺 Brennan and the rest of the crew are such great storytellers.

Real life Robert Moses hired her to be director of the Indian Village in New York

The umbrella upgrade was incredible on brennan's part. Absoutely no hesitation, impressive.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, but it wasn’t until this episode that I realized Ricky’s Axe was a Fire Axe. After all, the Questing Blade takes on the needed form for its wielder. Like the baseball bat.

Ally certainly predicted the future about how sad the scene with RBG was given that by the time this episode aired on RU-vid she had been dead for 12 weeks. May her memory be a blessing (For the record I do see how that could look like a pun giving the blessings on the Questing Blade but since she was Jewish one would say "may her memory be a blessing" instead of "rest in peace")
