Fun Fact about Sonic Dimensions, they couldn't use the genesis tracks due to them not owning the rights, so they made unique compositions for each of the zones (not counting labyrinth or emerald coast)

Always wanted a Lego Dimensions Set because of Sonic but never commited

Lego games are criminally underrated. Also just a reminder that the Lego Marvel and Lego DC games are the closest we have to an open world Superheroes games with over 30+ characters where you can also make your own Custom Character and free roam as it too! Lego have unlimited potential.

Sonic dimensions was actually what got me into sonic as a whole, I just got really excited for that level pack for no reason when it released and Sonic's been one of my favorite series ever since

Excellent video, mate. Sonic Dimensions is a hidden gem of the franchise that sadly goes unheard of within the fanbase. I remember it well, Autumn of 2016. Me and my best friend were 12 and had just started secondary school, a turbulent time in our lives as we struggled to adjust to the change. Our escape was our mutual obsession, Lego Dimensions, and as HUGE Sonic fans we made sure that we got our hands on the Sonic pack ASAP lol. I think you've said it better than I possibly could in the video, so I won't go on about how incredibly fun the expansion is and the love and effort poured into the pack. It's a great childhood memory for me. Regrettably I sold my Lego Dimensions collection in 2018 for around 40 quid (that hurts to recall knowing how expensive they are now), but earlier this year I set out to rebuild my collection, with the Sonic pack being my first priority. Cost me 50 quid!! Worth it though, especially with how rare and difficult to play it will become in the future. Sorry for rambling, but the point is that Sonic Dimensions means a lot to me and many others, hence why it's awesome we're seeing more videos like this one bringing it to light!

7:12 The reason Chaos fights you is because its Chaos from another dimension where he still exists and the rage was not tamed. Its why Eggman was able to pull Robo and Mecha as he pulled them from Dimensions where they werent destroyed. As for the emeralds, Eggman wanted them to supercharge the Keystone so he could do more with it

This pack was nothing short of extremely fun, to the point that I'd spend hours playing this game almost every day doing nothing but running around the adventure worlds and seeing how well I could carry momentum in my jumps to reach new areas without a flying vehicle. Sonic is also a great tool for if you need to grind collecting studs for a while, as his speed and the feature of stuff respawning after a while outside of the render distance made a no brainer to get my stud count to an insane number. Last time I played Dimensions, I think I had 2-5 *million* studs collected. My PS4 is half melted and retired now, but I still have all of the game pieces and toy pad. Maybe I'll try hooking it up to the PS5 and playing the game again one day.

Lego Dimensions in general is super underrated. Honestly if not for the toys-to-life gimmick (and the overpriced sets that resulted from it) the game would probably be one of the most popular Lego games in existence. Its a shame that it will likely never get a sequel. Its a game where you can play as Batman, Homer Simpson, Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Who, and Chell from Portal all at the same time... and that makes it one of a kind! And Sonic is one of the best characters. Yes he's game breaking but that's what makes him fun! XD

Agreed! Sonic Dimensions is surprisingly one of the best Sonic Experiences. When it was being teased, I didn’t think much of it and was just happy we finally had an official Lego Sonic. But after release, it blew away all my expectations

Bro! As someone who obsoletely loves Lego Dimensions. I am so happy to start seeing Lego Dimension Videos in my recommend page, despite the game releasing 8 years ago, and being discontinued in 2017. I've recently over the summer been revisiting Lego Dimensions again, and it's been absolutely amazing replaying my childhood LEGO game. I know this is far fetched but I genuinely do think that if enough credit to the game is given near 10 years after its initial release. I genuinely do think that TT games and LEGO could possibly make a sequel. Yea sure they wouldn't use the same toys to life concept (it being one of the main reasons why the game discontinued in the first place- aka the price to get full access to all the games content). But even a LEGO game with massive crossovers. Not many people know this, but LEGO Dimensions did have a season 3 roster ready to go that got leaked before deciding to stop the game. Lego Dimensions is my favourite Sonic game and one of my favourite games of all time. I bought the game because of Sonic and I've loved it ever since. I've since managed to get every female character in the game and I'm very close to getting all the male characters too. It's so nice to finally see a positive video about the game and I hope it'll interest someone enough to check the game out. I wish the game kept going though because the characters planned for Year 3 are insane.

I really want to see a fleshed out LEGO Sonic game that includes the other playable characters in the series. It’s a format I could see work with the other characters. Silver using psychokinesis to build LEGO structures just makes so much sense.

When I first played a level pack in this game I was amazed that it was a full length story mission and not an extra side mission like other lego games and the campaign/world has so many references and easter eggs, they went full out on these packs.

This was pretty much my introduction to the Sonic series and is why I am a sonic fan today. Sure I knew what sonic was as a kid, but I was not all that interested until he appeared in a Lego game and it finally clicked to me “wait, this hedgehog guy is kind of cool.“ The DLC also has one of my favorite boss fights in the entire series. I love the fight where you go against sonics three most famous robot counterparts. Not only is it a nice piece of nostalgia, but it also works quite well on a game design standpoint. The first wave introduces how you fight the boss, the second phase builds upon that by having the robot actively attack you in different ways, and then metal sonic is the final progression of that attack pattern taken to its most deadly level. Also the fight against chaos was pretty enjoyable. It’s sad that we live in a world where a Lego game in which sonic is a guest character gets a chaos Bossfight, but sonic forces doesn’t

For the record about the story just... stopping? There was very much supposed to be a 3rd wave with a campaign designed to wrap up the game and unite the cast from the 2 previous years. I BELIEVE the intent was to continue Sonic's story in the main story, probably with new Sonic characters sold to pad out the roster.

This is quite a solid game. It's not perfect, but I do enjoy it. It had a lot of love but into it. That final boss with Super Sonic vs. Perfect Chaos with "Open Your Heart" is awesome.

I remember when I was playing Lego Dimensions with my cousins, and we were having a blast in the Sonic expansion. I was having the time of life and then she asked me, "How's it feel knowing this is the best 3D Sonic game?". Mind you this was fresh after Rise of Lyric, so I got a little miffed by it, but we played it for a laugh. Years later, I asked her the same question but with Sonic Frontiers. She gave me the same response.

As a kid, I wanted to see Sonic LEGO sets _so_ badly, I would play with differently coloured 4x4's with tiles on top, pretending they were different Sonic characters, and I'd make cars and devices and weapons for them to use. It was sick. Anyways, it makes me happy to see somebody, _anybody_ talking about this crossover and singing its praises, cus it meant the world to me when it came out. And I'm thrilled they're picking the crossover back up after so long.
