Any team that counters is going to pick on Ream. So as long as we don't mind giving up counterattack goals, or we are sitting in a low block, Ream will suffice. Is GB ready to pull the captain in the 30th minute because he's getting smoked? Doubtful.

Tyler Adams is without question is one of our best players and leader but how realistic is it to expect him to play significant minutes in a major tournament when the guy hasn't played 45+ mins back to back in 15 months. I was fine with a minutes restriction/planned substitutions for the Nations League because there was only two games, but for the summer with the potential for 6-7 games, I want every player hands on deck. At the very least bring in Maloney

Getting a result in Colombia and Brazil before Copa means literally nothing. We're just looking to build cohesion with a bunch of guys. The first 45 is usually about the only part of each match that means anything as subs pretty much always change the dynamic. So "winning" friendlies mean nothing.

Gregg halter is improving after game after game. The United States has a great roster. The United States should put a lot of chips on their shoulder to beat any team right now and they are capable of beating Germany, Argentina,Italy and any strong team now, cause the game has changed now, All the countries that we used to hear about are no more active like that.

I personally think Zimmerman would be a great pick for the Olympics. He’s not A team level, but he’s decent, he brings experience and leadership to a position we are thin at in the u-23 level. Trusty should have been here over Moore we have plenty of options at RB to not need a second “pure” RB. Same will Tim Tillman, should have been a more defensive guy like Maloney because we don’t know about TA’s health. I don’t really care about Sean Johnson, yeah I’d bring Gaga. Also curious to see that one of Sargent/pepi isnt going to the Olympics. Guess the rosters being expanded to 26 allows both to go to copa.

Maloney is a big miss. With Adams questionable availability, we need more coverage at the six. I suspect Paredes was not picked due to the Olympics. However, if Lund is out then it may be time to reconsider that. Moore and T Tillman are pointless picks

Trusty is not good and shouldn’t be near the national team at this point. Mediocre MLS CB, turned decent CB for a bad Championship team, turned bad CB for a truly awful Premier league team. The guy hasn’t done anything to deserve the level of hype certain fans give him, outside of signing a contract with a club from England.

At 23:30 you said "Even if you play Colombia, you're at home."...mmmm NO! You have to admit that the USA doesn't have the rabid fan base of many Latin American countries, and when playing in the east coast, against the likes of Brasil, Argentina or Colombia, the US fans will be outnumbered by passionate REAL football fans, not lukewarm, "what time are the NBA playoffs starting" kind of supporters. Last time the US played Colombia in the east coast, in Tampa Oct 2018, the stadium was a sea of yellow. So no, the USA will not enjoy the advantage that a real soccer country enjoys when playing at home.

Your criticism of Shaq Moore is 1. Mean (You think it's funny but I think you're being a douche) 2. Misinformed 3. Only other RB we would take is going to the olympics. I rewatched the world cup, I think others should too of when Shaq Moore played. He actually wasn't the problem. He played okay. He's not Dest..we don't have another Dest. Defensively he's ok, going forward he struggles. His strength is his 1 on 1 defending, because he has the pace to keep from getting beat to the end line. I don't think Moore will play, I think Berhalter has a ton of options to play wingback or right back. He can use Weah, Musah, McKennie or Tyler Adams and Cardoso as the 6 depending on how he sets up. Shaq Moore isn't our first or second option..he's a break glass in case of emergency.

Maloney and Trusty being Clear Snubs. I wish we also got to see someone here like a Marlon Fossey as a like for like replacement for Dest, I say this because for Standard Liege (same league as McKenzie and Reynolds) he's been playing as RWB/RM for the majority of the season and has looked really dynamic and competent. Shame Fed and berhalter sees shaq moore of all players as ok for this roster somehow.

Even though Trusty has had a shit season on a shit team making shitty decisions, he's been playing against the best in the world. Miles Robinson gets burned by MLS players week in and week out. A lot of people don't realize that during short tournaments, every single player in the roster is extremely important. Most likely every single player will see some playing time, cause you need to rest players for more demanding games or accumulation of cards. Honestly, I still see the MLS agenda written all over this roster, but I'm not surprised at all... 🤷

Nobody is talking about it, because anything involving race can be very divisive. But I wonder, since the Copa is primarily among Spanish-speaking teams, would there be any additional benefit (or drawback)including/playing Pepi, Vazquez, Zendejas, Ferreira, Paredes, Luna ? Is Johnny vulnerable to trash talking Brazilians? Yes, they're all professionals, but does a common language benefit or hurt US players? Is it just easier to be a gringo for this tournament?

There should be a Roster Rule that limits the number of Players who play in foreign leagues. The National team should have majority Domestic league(s) players. That would promote the development of the domestic league(s), and even spur competition among the players in the foreign leagues too.

Absolutely not. The game being global is good, and domestic leagues get better on their own. Each nation’s federation should prioritize trying to grow their domestic league, but it shouldn’t be a mandated rule w/r/t national team rosters.
