Uruguay is 5x better that the U.S. Uruguay's center backs have better technical ability than almost our entire team.

Love the Ultras. I'm struck by the fact that the people who make very little money reporting on soccer are as good, if not better (depending on the show.) then the people who make the big bucks. More real, more in depth, more everything. It's great to see some of the pro players, past and present, making that realization too.

Definitely agree that those Olympic guys shouldn’t be called up to Copa America, but I don’t think there will be a need for Acosta anyway. Adams and Maloney are both back from injury, add them to Johnny and we’re set at the 6.

It’s a tough draw to be honest, especially considering how easy the other side of the bracket is. However, that gives us every opportunity to get a marquee win and make a statement.

My prediction: Draw Uruguay but tops the group anyway Beats Colombia narrowly in the quarters Lose to Brazil in the semis 2-0 Beats Mexico in the third place match

Could definitely see that happening, Mexico making the semis is interesting given their squad rebuild but that side of the bracket is pretty weak

@@AMERICANULTRASTALK The most difficult part is them topping their group since Ecuador has been pretty good recently, but I think it is doable After that, they would have to go through Peru, Chile or Canada in the quarters, who are pretty beatable even for this Mexico side.

None of you guys understand that Uruguay pass & move 10x better than the US, and our player pool isn’t good. The US needs to start passing & moving better to close the gap, but they can improve their passing & moving before the Copa America.

Wouldn't Balogun be eligible for the Olympics? Hes right on the line of eligibility he will be 23 when the games start but Im not sure if the timing of eligibility starts then

Yes he is age-eligible, but there’s some uncertainty around whether he would be eligible for the US since it’s not a FIFA competition and he represent England U21s. Regardless, it is unlikely that Monaco will release him considering the Olympics will be over on August 11th and the season starts August 17th, and he would have played copa America as well. Would you rather have him on the Olympics ? It’s definitely a good debate! We will be discussing it on our depth chart series where we analyze the strikers next!

@@AMERICANULTRASTALK I think considering his form Olympics would be a great way to boost his confidence. It would also help him feel the patriotism of American fans more keenly. It could be his true send out to American casuals

Good points, plus Balogun did say that he wants to play in an Olympics at some point in his career. Doing that this summer when he’s age-eligible is probably the best opportunity.

We all know he's getting AT LEAST 2030. Maybe longer. I think he has the job until he doesn't want it anymore. I'm this close to switching. US Soccer is the Colorado football of international soccer. A fucking reality show. Only difference is NCAA isn't controlled by the reality show. USSF is and chooses to be.

It's incredible how much you guys mock players who don't deserve it. Take Zendejas. All of you guys laughed at Zendejas who is playing great at America. You think Zendejas didn't dazzle at the Gold Cup with new players, so you think he played "bad." Let's take Kellyn Acosta who Herc publicly backed and pointed out how people cherry pick random examples to try to claim that he wasn't good.

Sorry, Uruguay is favorite (because of Gregg), Bielsa is going give-up possession of ball (similar Argies' game), Araujo and Valverde know their roles. Gregg has no plan "B" or "C", it's weird that USNT's fans already Gregg's game-plan and Bielsa's game-plan, before the America Cup. Note: I do have Uruguayan bias.
