Be careful spraying round your speedo. They are notorious for absorbing water and steaming up. I know from bitter experience, though, fortunately, the problem was caused by an over-enthusiastic dealer who graciously paid for a replacement. I always now cover mine with a plastic bag before washing my Scout.
