Plus people deal with grief and heartbreak differently!!! I don't get why someone who cries alot is so looked down upon nowadays!! Isn't crying a normal human emotion?!! People would like someone to be an emotionless robot than an emotional one which is horrible!!

I agree, and people say that ‘oh but Elena had all these people and Katherine didn’t ’ but Katherine had a lot of people in love with her and willing to do anything for her. The difference is that she betrayed them all in favor of looking out for herself.

Yeah agree, i think the main part of it that she's the main and most realistic character, aka that makes her 'boring' to an extent because she's most similar to a person you might meet irl, and people don't want to watch tv shows for realism.. I see this in many fandoms where main characters tend to get hated on more than the rest, and i think it's because of two things. 1- like you said everything revolves about them (which makes sense since the story is about them and often time they're the ones narrating too, so we're experiencing everything from their eyes!) this can obviously get boring and irritating for the audience. 2- they don't usually change much, which makes them boring. That's because we're usually told pretty much the entire character's lifestory within like the first episode and they remain pretty much the same for a long time. With side characters however, we get to learn about them as the series is happening. So even though if they're doing something we don't like we understand them and we feel like they're constantly progressing because we just got told about their past. The main character's actions is also driven by their past, but after a season or so that gets boring quickly because again we're told their lifestory in like the first episode. So it feels like we're just 'milking' the same drama that's really 'old'. However in reality it's the same for side characters, they're also acting a certain way because of something in their past, except we learn about them and that past much more gradually and slowly so it feels like the characters are changing much quicker, therefore making them more interesting. I don't know if i explained it well but that's what i feel like happens in so many fandoms that have realistic and human main characters - they just get hated on because we learn about them the most and we get bored of them quickly. Especially ones that have narration, making that character sort of like a window between our world and their world which makes the character SUPER realistic and not many people are looking for realistic characters (you said it yourself people love Katherine more, but if she was a real life person everyone would hate her) Anyways if u actually read this, idk why u would, sorry about the rant i'm just bored, and i wish u a very happy day 😊

@@CamiA487 exactly, katherine did that to herself damon, stefan, ellijah romantically she all had wrapped around her finger A LOT of people she had wrapped around her finger and if she actually chose to treat them well or even a fraction better than she did she still would have them she could have easily been with stefan (like she wants) if she actually decided to be a better person and not try to mess with him and the people he cares about all the time for fun like, i do love katherine and elena but katherine only stans act like katherine actually has a point when it comes to that when she doesn't lol katherine can easily even build a new life for herself and try again but she just stays jealous of elena

If you had a friend like Elena would you think she was annoying to? Some people are driven by emotions, i cry alot to but NEVER for no reason, just because you cry doesn't mean you weak and just because you don't cry doesn't mean you strong, everyone deals diffrent with problems.
