About Rebekah not being invited in: In season 2, Stefan and Damon gave their house to Elena and she was the owner. Then when she died in the sacrifice, that broke the seal on the house. So now any vampire can come in uninvited since Elena technically “died”. I hope that makes sense!

Rebecca didn’t need to be invited in because that seal breaks anytime the person who owns the place dies that seal breaks. So because Elena signed the deed to the house before the ritual it made it so that when she died during the ritual that seal broke the owner of the property was dead.

Rebekah didn’t need an invitation. Ye Elena made there house a safe house but when Elena died. When the owner died. The house is now owned by no one. Yes her name is still on the paper but once she died the seal broke. Also vampire can’t invite people in.
