Speaking Of Being Correct listen, I don’t hate Stefan and even said I like him but that he makes me mad...don’t make me have to be an anti. I am specifically talking about Elenas survivors guilt + the trauma of the accident. Bonnies death wasn’t messing with Elenas trauma and that wasn’t even bc of Damon, Klaus literally wanted her dead. Even in S1 e1 when Bonnie is driving, we see that trauma surrounding cars. Snapping Jeremys neck was wrong but if we’re really gonna go there...well I assume you watched the whole show so you should know Stefan isn’t a Saint. My comment was about Stefan taking Elena to the location of the accident and making her relive that and I will not be changing my opinion on the event.

last time i recall damon barley has character development. the only thing he ever develops is love for elena and bonnie but when they not around his back to himself .

@@itchycactus1962 Damon adjusting to finally allowing himself to feel is character development. As well as practicing any degree of restraint. Also Elena and Bonnie know who Damon is. They are not blind. However nor do they believe him to be a saint.

I'd say because this scene had much more impact overall. I mean Stefan actually was able to force Klaus to do something so that right there is very memorable. But yeah, both fucked up. Also what the fuck was Klaus on about if she really thought that low of him? Of fucking course you pretty much gave her a death sentence and then pretend to be noble by changing your mind after. Defuck. Well plus he has killed people of the main cast before so that is also a reason why it shouldnt be a surprise.

except damon was never going to kill her with stefan he was so on edge you weren't sure not to mention it's messed up he did that where she and her parents almost died i'm not saying what damon did was super right or correct (i mean they are both vampires what do you expect) but if i had to choose which would more likely prioritize elena's safety it would be damon 100% & any relationship involving a human and a vampire will be toxic because of the power imbalance & the fact they feed on humans (and can compel!)

When Tyler first becomes a hybrid Klaus is naming people he could hurt and when he gets to Caroline, instead of just saying her name he says something like “your pretty girlfriend Caroline” so I think he’s always noticed her, but other than that yeah they never really interacted.

SPOILERS TO REPLY TO THE SPOILER COMMENT (LOL) stefan threatening and almost killing her where she and her parents died is way more tramutizing than anything damon has done and i didn't agree with damon killing jeremy the one time but the other tie your referring to is when liz shot him and he moved out of the way i would hardly call 'damon killing jeremy' also, i do agree that the reason elena primarily left stefan was because of her feelings towards damon but that wasn't the sole reason this was traumatizing but we know she gets back with him but you hear elena throughout seaosn 3 and four saying that she can't trust stefan because he wouldn't let elena know things (an a lot of times he had a reason to but it didn't matter because her trust was broken at that point) and she started not to trust him and didn't think she could be in a relationship with someone she couldn't trust and to be clear this isn't to shit on stefan because i like him and damon and i liked stelena and delena (though i will say i prefer damon and delena a bit better and am a little biased but i enjoyed both ships and i always enjoy both brothers) but i think it is a little more to it than loving damon or even this incident it's her love for damon and the fact she was losing trust in stefan (whether she's right to or not those were her feelings)

The one thing Damon has never done is weaponise her trauma against her for personal gain after parading around as a self-proclaimed saviour & good guy making out he’d never hurt her. Damon was always brutally honest with Elena about just how bad he is, while Stefan constantly lied about just how much of a danger he was to her.

This episode was the one that made me realise that Elena was better off without Stefan, and Stelena had a veneer of innocence & purity but is in actuality mentally & emotionally abusive. Who the hell weaponises a loved one’s trauma against them for personal gain even when you’re at your lowest & darkest if you ever truly comprehended that trauma & loved that person rather than the idea of them you wouldn’t dare pull that kinda stunt.

Stelena died because Stefan did something terrible to Elena and Klaroline rose because Klaus did something terrible to Caroline
