I still thought they’d just do Stickers for story mode like Brawl

I heard it was actually the descriptions themselves that took the longest time to implement. Imagine every Spirit in Ultimate had a description. Now, imagine the poor saps who had to translate 1200+ descriptions into 10+ languages. A lot of phrases from the Trophies required direct communication with the Japanese team and occasionally the original developers to decipher what certain things meant. I imagine it was mainly the descriptions, as opposed to the 3D models, that was the primary source of frustration for the development team.

If the spirits had descriptions I wouldn’t mind, especially since a certain part of world of life requires knowledge of specific spirits.

It would've been worth it though... Trophies actually kept me trying side modes, just to have a literal award for achieving things.

They could have just copy pasted descriptions from past games but that would have been lazy.

For real. I personally prefer Lifelight and it’s variants, but Smash 4’s theme is a very close second.

idk... smash 4 theme is just kinda bland to me. I think ultimate adding lyrics to its theme made it more memorable. brawl has the most unique theme in the series, but hey, that's Nobuo Uematsu for you, one of the greatest composers in the world. melee's opening song really seems to be written specifically to fit the movie closely, and my goodness it's epic. anyway, smash 4, I don't know, its theme just doesn't stand out to me.

@@aoBubs for me smash 4's song is best to listen to outside of the context of the game; basically, I think it's the most satisfying to listen to. Melee is my favorite in-game. I like Brawl's a lot, but it's not really my style of music. Finally, Lifelight is kinda dumb to me. It feels like they just threw together the cheesiest lyrics they could think of, like SOUL and HEART and GOOD ansd EVIL which kind of ruins it for me; the lyrics don't really stick. The instrumental is great though. Tl;dr smash 4's is the most satisfying, melee's is most fitting, brawl's is impressively composed but not my style, and ultimate is too cheesy
