At first I was a bit confused as to why this kids' book was described by Jo-Anne as 'for adults.' I remember having this story read to me as a child, experiencing the sadness and beauty of the rabbit's plight. But hearing this again as an adult, I finally realise the real magic of this story: The velveteen rabbit is made real by *us,* the listener! The compassion, sorrow and joy we feel for him are the proof. He's real! I get it now. Yes, the story is not only for kids. Just beautiful. Thank you for the new revelation, JoAnne!

I am thankful to have had plenty of literature in my childhood; rabbits seem to have been a recurring theme. My dad would read the book "Guess How Much I Love You" to me when I was a baby, and my grandmother on his side would read this story to me. I miss them both very dearly; curling up with a Nut Brown Hare plush and listening to this feels like a loving tribute to them. Thank you. ❤

After years of being a valued toy to the little boy the velveteen rabbit received his dearest wish and became a real rabbit. I consider myself well read but this was a story I missed. Books have been a dear friend to me since childhood. I truly enjoyed this story. 🙂

Oh, I sobbed through almost the whole story! Especially the end. I was so afraid it would be a sad ending like the fairytales I am mostly used to, like the tales by H. C. Andersen. I was searchig for a very nice and uplifting fairytale to ease my anxiety and sad mood. I found this video. I have never heard it before. But I understood that it was probably written a long time ago, since the rabbit was stuffed with sawdust. I love this fairytale about the little velveteen rabbit! Thank you so much for reading this fairytale and for making this video. I feel uplifted and calm now. Your voice is very soothing and sounds so kind. honestly I love your channel! Many times I go to sleep with your narration and I always fall asleep before the story ends, but this time I was so invested in the little rabbit I couldn't! Really, it must be something wrong with the volume settings on the device or laptop you are using or your headphones cuz everyone else including me can hear this audio just fine. Make sure you try checking whatever you are using cuz my Mom Joanne always make sure the sound quality is perfect on her audios.

Turn off your autoplay. If your autoplay is on...another video will begin to play automatically after the video your watching and the ad will come on from that new video.

Begging for help. None of these stories, meditation, hypnosis videos are helping me. I haven’t slept for more than an hour in 4 nights. My doctor won’t help. Please can anyone suggest anything to make me sleep 😭

I feel like the Mayo Clinic is a great resource for severe insomnia. They have sleep centers in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. Bob my advertisements are turned off. I never have them on for mid video or at the end. Please check to see if you have 'autoplay' turned on, which is RU-vid's default. If it is turned on, this means the next video will begin to play and if that video is monetized you will be startled by the ad. Please check this to see. Perhaps RU-vid will play ads regardless of my settings. If so, I can't do much about that. However, Premium is always an option.
