I've bought the 16 Pro 2nd Generation last week and I'm absolutely happy. I used the Cintiq 24 HD Touch for ten years till now and it was okay. But this model now - the responsiveness, the feel during drawing, the 4K resolution and the form factor is much more conveniant, not just for transporting it, of course, but also for working with it. Also I love the quality of the screen, its silky, vibrant colours and the way improved touch features, which are really useful now... In short: it was a good decission to downgrade in size and upgrade in every other aspect. It's awesome, I love it!! (P.S.: I tested the first Gen 16 Pro at a friend a few years ago and was not so convinced, so this version is a real improvement.)

Aaron, I am very grateful for you, I am always intimidated with technology, even so that I have been working on tablets for 15 years.... but just like you I am a "painter" first and use Wacom tablets very much like you! Your RU-vid set ups and reviews are so very helpful! I can relate to you and feels like you are here in the room helping...Your voice and your mannerism is just perfect to calmly go through all the steps and make it work! Thank you Aaron! You are awesome!

I have the non pro 16 and I'm definitely looking at the pro 16 cause the non pro is lacking in the screen department cause of the hd and the coating on it making it slightly blurry. So glad to hear and definitely something im going to save for.

Hi! I have a 160x80cm sit/standing desk. On it i have a 16:10 1200p IPS monitor now using Intous medium from 2012. I'm in the hunt after a Cintiq or similar. This 16" and the 24" looks interesting. I don't care about the touch for any device. I use a keyboard. The PPI is probably amazing on the 16" and the VESA mount would come in use for me. 1. Would the workspace feel cramped? Or is it possible to scale it to match like a 16" 1440p monitor scale? Maybe the 24" 4K cintiq is a better choice? 2. Is a VESA arm a good choice or would it just "slide away" when i'm actually starting to draw by adding pressure? Hope my questions are not too confusing.

My problem with the 16 inch screens is that everytime I use one I'm itching for more space, but the next size up is a humongous 24 inch screen. I really don't understand why there's no 20 inch option.

I had so many problems with the 1st gen Pro 16. I went through several units and the screens always developed a rash of stuck red, green, and blue pixels across the bottom portion of the screen. I finally got tired of sending faulty units back to wacom and and just decided to live with it - but it was very disappointing. I'm watching with interest (in general) to see if there end up being similar reports about this version 2 unit.

I have seen this reported by other people on the web with pictures to boot, I have the first generation 16 pro also but I haven't used it enough for this to happen to it. I believe it happens from leaning on the screen. I have not seen or heard of this happening with the 24 or 32.

I use a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 Touch. I love the pen display but I find that I wish I had went with the 16 because the 24 is just to huge for me. I like those smaller spaces and the smaller screen. At the time I bought it, the 16 Pro was out of stock. *sad panda face* Great review and I agree 100% with everything that was said here, especially the part of the video when you said, "You get what you pay for." yes. the tablet is not standalone. and as well, the ability to animate lies in the drawing/animation software you download to your computer, not the drawing tablet you buy.

@lisatennant3131
@lisatennant3131 7 месяцев назад
I don't like using the toggle for multiple screens. Can we make the pen display be the only display showing my mac desktop? With multiscreen (the pen display and my computer screen at the same time) I have to drag Photoshop down to the pen display, and whenever I get a pop up dialog box such as the color picker, it pops up on the computer screen so I have to toggle to get to the computer screen. Every time I try to search for what settings to use for just the pen display, all I get as results are directions for multiscreen. Sorry for the confusion. @@AaronBlaiseArt

That gap is long gone from the competition, they have laminated screens for some years now. Not only that, they also are 4k now. The competition is getting really close and doing it at a quality and price point that makes you wonder why Wacom is so expensive. Wacom devices are definitely good though, but if they’re still my #1 choice, I don’t know.
@wordragon
@wordragon 2 года назад
I have a newer Huion Kamvas Pro and my daughter has an XP Pen pro. They are excellent, specifically if you are on a budget. I have an older Wacom 24 and it still is superior in build quality, drivers, and overall feel of the tools and interactive points. I do think the Huion and XP Pen compare much closer at the smaller screen size, but at the larger sizes there is still a gap.
@taodaniel5273

@@wordragon how does the pen tracking on those? thinking about getting the 2.5k model, i herad that huions are a bit laggy? thank you.
@wordragon
@wordragon 2 года назад
@@taodaniel5273 -I have the 22 Kamvas pro. The pen lags compared to the Wacom. I don't know what the latency is on the 16 pro 2.5k, but I know that for some reason the lag isn't as bad on the smaller screens like the 16s. I think it is a very good buy if you are on a budget. I will say that in my experience Wacom's drivers and calibration tools are superior to all the other display tablet companies' products no matter what size screen you buy. Maybe, the one exception is Apple on the IPad pro. I have the IPad Pro and it is an excellent tool for drawing and painting.

@wordragon 2 года назад
@@taodaniel5273 -I know lots of people with macs who never have a problem with Wacom drivers. Have you updated your graphics card drivers? They update often and end up being the issue many times. There's nothing wrong with the Huion Kamvas. It won't limit your art and will be better for your wallet. I have a lot of experience with Cintiqs and recently had to use a Huion Kamvas 16 (2021) for a number of months. I actually thought it was a great experience and never did it hold back my art. I decided that I would rather have a non-display tablet for the superior ergonomics.
