It's important to point out that just because you have a USB C port on whatever rig you're using, there's no guarantee the Cintiq Pro will work with it. I Recently got an Acer Predator Helios, which has a USB C 3.1 port and I thought I'd be set. But when my Cintiq Pro 13 came in, I realized too late that it didn't support the alternate display mode. I ended up having to buy a StarTech Active Displayport to HDMI adapter, and despite the mess of cables on my desk, my Cintiq Pro works and I'm very happy with the performance so far. So just keep this in mind when you're buying!
The wacom connect can do 4k the reason why they listed it as 1600p is that the mini dp cable they included is 1.1a which has a maximum throughput of 2560x1600* 60hz while the current gen mini dp 1.2 can do 4096x2160* 50hz so its just a quick cable swap to get 4k!
Hello. I am writing through Google translator. Unfortunately, not very English. Thanks for the video. How much does it cost you not new? Can I buy it in good condition? 16 pro
I have an Intous 4 L for ages and they still didnt fix the jiggly lines on the drivers. Also heard it from many other people with different wacom Tablets of the newer generation. So they'll probably never fix this for all their tablet drivers. But thank you a lot for being honest and telling us! I wasn't really surprised as I saw it happen with the lines in the video. :D But to be fair - it only happens in Adobe Photoshop and no other Painting or Drawing software - so it has been and is kind of a adobe - wacom thing for ages. Maybe they just don't focus on older tabletsdrivers these days I don't know. Helpful Review thank you!
Hey, hopefully you see this, i use the same tablet as you do, and lazy nezumi fixes the jiggly lines, it also comes with all kinds of hefty features, like perspectiv drawing, its features are multiple, just get that and you have zero problems with jiggly lines.
cintiq 13 hd is very bad, even if many people still buy it. me and a friend sent back the 13hd because of huge paralax problem and the low resolution. Now im on last ipad pro and its another thing, much better
Good day! :) I'm getting the Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if you had a recommendation on a particular cable (it would be great if you could also include the link) I should get to be able to run it at 4K with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)? Thanks a lot! All the best, Vanja
Thank you for your reply. I understand how it works but this isn't gonna work on my Mac because it doesn't have a Display Port but a Thunderbolt 2 (Mini DisplayPort).
What do you think about these 2? Which one? www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Mini-DisplayPort-Black/dp/B00HNF0L2C/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1491174050&sr=1-3&keywords=mini+dp+cable www.startech.com/uk/Cables/Audio-Video/DisplayPort/1m-Mini-DisplayPort-Cable-Male-to-Male~MDISP1M
what do you mean you couldn't make it work with the dell xps15? doesn't it have the type-c + thunderbolt 3 port? I don't want to sound rude or anything, I'm looking for a notebook to get specifically because i want to use it with the cintiq 16 and this sounds like useful information!
I only have a Wacom Bamboo, haven't gone to a display tablet due to how expensive they are. I'll be coming up on some cash soon this winter and I was wondering if you had a suggestion on which of the smaller ones I should try. I've seen reviews for the 13HD and the same one in the video but smaller 13 Pro. I have a Macbook Air that's a few years old, got it in 2014 (which means its 720p, terrible I know), so I'm not sure which will have the most wiring, which will be the most portable, etc.
Hi there!! May I know which system and connection are you using? I am trying to connect my cintiq pro 13 to a 2018 Dell XPS 15 which has an in-built thunderbolt port. The display is getting turned on but the pen input is not getting registered. Neither is the tablet being recognised by the laptop as a display device. Could it be specific to the laptop model I am using (please note that the tablet worked fine on a MacBook Pro 15 which also has thunderbolt ports and not the normal USB-C ones)
I don't really get it. Would this cintiq have 4k plugged to a macbook pro 2016 touchbar via usb-c? I was planning using these two. What would i need in order to have 4K in the cintiq 16 pro?
I'm trying to choose between a cintiq pro 16 and an ipad pro. does the cintiq pro also work irrespective of a pc or a laptop like and ipad would, or does it need to be connected to a system to be operated. what i mean is can i carry it around like an ipad and use various drawing softwares on it like i would on an ipad?
It needs to be connected to a device like laptop or a computer. You can't just carry it around. If you're looking for a stand alone device like an Ipad Pro but a tablet computer, then a Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 13 or 16 might be better suited for you.
Bruno Rovarotto I’d get the 22, or wait for their new 4k version, it’s the perfect size. Size is a bigger factor for me but the surface and the resolution of the new ones is awesome, size only wins by a small margin.
So i settled on getting the new cintiq modles but im hesitent on the 2 sizes if any of you own/tried the 13 or 16 inch what would you reccomend i get between the 2?
How noticeable is the parallax? Ads for this say "Virtually no parallax" But wtf I wanna know exactly how much parallax there is damn it! I hope they can make a tablet with a thin screen that is like the ipad pro, which has like no parallax at all.
Hasn't been a concern so far, they're pretty solid regardless of how they look. You'd have to sit on it for it to break, or push down on the tablet really hard which would likely damange the display first.
