Gimple dialogue at its finest 😂
@faraztahir7169
@faraztahir7169 Месяц назад
The reason the dialogue was so vague was because they brought back Scott Gimple aka an overly philosophical nut-job that was responsible for most of the nonsensical terrible dialogue for the original series from season 4 to season 8.

I feel so bad for rj’s actor, so many people on social media and mainly tik tok sent him literal death threats, on his instagram page and everything and weird sexual comments. he’s a child, he’s not the best but it’s also realistic to not be overly emotional, rj doesn’t know Rick and he’s like 8 lol. he didn’t experience trauma and all the other things other kids experienced, he represents a normal kid which is what characters like Rick and Michonne wanted for the next generation of children. people saying he ruined the entire episode for him are wild because he was only on for a few seconds let’s be serious 💀

@lia_fiore Месяц назад
I don’t blame the kid at all and that’s horrible people are doing that! I said this when we were filming (must of cut it out by accident) but I blame the casting people for hiring an actor that didn’t have the acting capabilities needed! It’s on them to do the research and find the right person for the role that’s able to act at a certain level needed for the scene. - Lia

@@lia_fiore i agree !! and I know you have no bad intention, but I also think that his character isn’t supposed to have any depth so it’s not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be, it kind of makes sense. but people wishing death and r*pe on an innocent child is insane. whether someone casts a bad actor or not shouldn’t be an excuse for the way a good chunk of the twd fandom acted over a few seconds of dialogue. Judith’s actress was a little older from the start and her character had screen time and depth so it was important to cast a good actress and they did, she exceeded expectations and unfortunately not everyone can do what she did. So I’ll give a pass for the casting of rj.
@gracieprice466
@gracieprice466 Месяц назад
@@lia_fiore but there was also another side to him that wasn’t shown, there’s a clip of a seemingly deleted picnic scene between Rick, Michonne, and the kids and the rj actor really seems to be lively and out of his shell. It would’ve been nice if they would’ve included it.

I don’t blame the kid and I liked the episode but I did think the ending was the weakest part but that is because I had unrealistic expectations also shame on those that have the poor kid death threats

So glad we got Richonne back on our screens, even though the finale felt rushed & I wished we got a S2 I'm happy with the ending. All I really wanted in the end was for Rick to be reunited with his family and get the happy ending he deserved!

Loved the reaction and commentary once again guys. Right at the start of the series, I have been saying that they should blow up the CRM so we can get rid of them and it was so rewarding seeing them do that lol. But the last couple of minutes were INTENSE as heck and I loved it. And you bet I bawled my eyes off seeing Rick and Michonne FINALLY reach their kids. Such an emotional moment. Also, I think that when a person is dying and nearing death, they probably might want to make amends. Just like when someone says, to take care of each other and be good people etc. Say their last wishes. And I don't know what a person, who is a believer in God, would say. Would they try to correct their wrongs in this life so that they have a clean conscience when they cross over to the other side and hope they make it to Heaven? I don't know. I do know that people will want to speak from their heart. And for Thorne, she was told to forget about her loved ones back home, that there was no way they survived. She gave up and lost hope. But as she's dying and seeing how both Rick and Michonne are fighting to be together, she finally understood them. She probably was putting everything together and thinking about the many times Rick tried to escape and how he managed to risk everything to be with his beloved and bring her inside the walls and together they fought their way out so they can go back home again. All accomplished through the love they have for one another. That's why they have survived for this long. Through hope and love. I didn't think it was cheesy on Thorne's part to give in at the last second. She accepted that there ain't no stopping Richonne. She saw how strong their love was. I think it's something she wished she still had and not given up so easily like the rest of the world did. Now, what I'm wondering about is: what task are they gonna take on first? Help out Maggie and Negan? Or get to Daryl? It seems like it'd be better to help out Maggie and Negan since they are much closer, geographically speaking, than Daryl. Plus, it seems Carol is already on her way to bring him home. Dude, she better not die as she makes her way back home. The writers have been for YEARS teasing us with, is she leaving or staying? And showing us how hard she's been mentally breaking down over the years like she's tired of living. I HATE that shit. LOVE NEVER DIES!!!! THE BRAVE MAN CAME HOME!!! 🤗❤‍🔥💯

Yes, the whole thing felt rushed but at least we got a decent Rick family reunion. However, Rick's storyline can't end until he reunites with the rest of his family.. Daryl, Carol and Morgan.

They'll show up in Daryl Dixon for sure. That's probably the catalyst for Carol going out to find Daryl in season 2.

There definitely could have been more emotion behind The acting but IN A WAY perhaps tjey didn't wanna do another take as they liked what the filmed previous to him speaking but they could have just edited a new scene from rj if edited well enough...so

Y’all. This child DOES NOT KNOW THIS MAN. What did you want him to do except be shy? Your expectation of what a child is supposed to act like is unreasonable and based on what you’ve seen on TV and not in real life. In real life, RJ might be clinging onto Michonne. He’s only heard Judith and Mom talk about Rick. And Judith was maybe 3 or 4 the last time she saw him, so she has Baby Memories and Mom’s stories. So leave RJ *and Anthony* alone. The bullshit people hurled at this child has been despicable. He was doing what the director told him to do. Also, Michonne’s answer to Thorne: Thorne realized that she was talking to Rick’s Someone. Did you hear what she says to Michonne about Love being dead in a dead world??? Please don’t complain about dialogue when you’re *not listening to dialogue*.😆 And the choppers at the end were from the CR bringing supplies to the communities that were going to be wiped out by Beale’s secret troops. Lastly, there’s a difference between “rushed” and *urgency*. Nothing here was “rushed”, and from jump this was planned to be a 6 episode Love Story that was about getting Rick and Michonne back together, and them back home to their children. Objective was Successful. And Danai Gurira will get an Emmy nom for writing Episode 4, and both will get Acting noms…or the Emmys are trash.

I will say, you guys need to check out the Daryl show. Honestly all of your complaints about this show are not relevant for the Daryl show. It has realistic dialogue (no "Gimple speak"). It's not connected to the main show very much (a few Easter egg references, but nothing substantial). It's just a great show with good acting and a cool setting being in France/Paris.

This wasn't a perfect series by any means, but I feel like we're all forgetting just how bad TWD content has been recently; this was *miles* ahead of TWD season 11 or Dead City, imo. I think it helped a lot that it focused on a small group of characters and a smaller scale story rather than trying to tell stories of like 30 separate characters all at once. Also Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira are such good actors they make you realise how bad most of the ensemble cast of TWD was after they left. It's a shame the quality went downhill quite drastically after episodes 1 and 2 here, but overall it had some good moments, some excellent acting, and gave us all the Rick/Michonne/Judith reunion we wanted, so I won't complain too much, even if the dialogue was painful at times. Side note: Judith was the most sadly underused character in TWD; the actress was great and she started off being an interesting involved character and then they just forgot about her until the finale where all she gets to do is lie on a bed.

I think some of the dialogue was a little cringe but I think since it was a love story I was ok with it, definitely think the writing was better then the last few seasons, and I have a biased tbh because anytime ricks in a story it makes it 100xx better.

Great journey watching the two of you reacting to this, I omit Molly because she NEVER took it seriously ever as a TV series, everything (and I mean) EVERYTHING was just a laugh to her; nothing more which took away from us watching this almost the same as you say the final scene took YOU lot out of it :( Molly destroys the reaction mode on this channel, THAT IS MY FREE OPINION.

Fun fact, Norman Reedus pushed for new writers for his show, and the writing/ dialogue is much better. This show has the same writer as TWD and that is why the dialogue is wack.
@JorgeXY
@JorgeXY Месяц назад
RIGHT???? It's incredible that Norman's show with freaking variant walkers is the better of the spin offs. The ones who live might have the budget, but I recognized Fear The Walking Dead writing in episode 1, Dead City has me bored as im over Negan and Maggie drama, in Daryl Dixon, besides obvious plot armor, it was great. (IMO)

Hi Lia. New sub here. Just finished watching your Walking Dead reactions a few weeks ago. Big fan of seasons 1-6 but it went completely downhill after that. I continued watching seasons 7 and 8 just to see the end of the Negan/Saviours story line and that was the end of the show for me. Seasons 9-11 were awful without Rick and Carl. Any chance you would react to Sons of Anarchy? Great show that I think you would like.

No further seasons are planned as of right now. What makes the most sense is that they use Daryl Dixon's show as a means to reunite Rick and Michonne with the rest of the group. No way Rick doesn't see Daryl again, or Carol, or everyone else. So I'm of the mindset that both Rick and Michonne will end up being in at least one episode of that. It's a really good show, too. Same with Dead City. They really did a good job with those 2 spin offs.

This reaction is exactly why I love this page, you guys honestly don't filter yourselves when you watch TWD. I felt like I was being gaslit by the RU-vidrs who watched this finale into thinking the dialogue wasn't terrible and the acting wasn't stale and bad because nobody mentioned it! thanks for always keeping it real and not faking your reactions. Cant wait for The Boys to return, cant wait to see your reactions to it.

The only good thing I take from this is we got one of the reunions I wanted and that was Rick and Judith reunion. The writing was bad. This was just not good. Didn't feel for one moment that I was watching the walking dead. Im still glad I got to see Rick again. Daryl show is the most original one so far out of the three spin offs, it literally still feels like Im watching the main show.
