The Walking Dead Universe Map - Where is everything in each show & game? Reddit to the rescue I got this map from reddit - thanks @jonnyzib for the hard work! Link to reddit page: bit.ly/3tseY4E #TheWalkingDead #TWD #RickGrimes
Neither did I. It's been several seasons since they left the prison so I couldn't remember if they walked the whole time then I remembered they did drive some. Wonder if the walkers are on the islands like Hawaii the Bahamas?
So lets get this straight, Morgan starts in Georgia, manages to find Rick in Alexandria, Maryland 700 miles away, then wanders off all the way back down south to Oklahoma/Texas where he bumps into Dwight 1400 miles away.... Seems legit
yeah, very good point :)) but considering that Daryl told Dwight that he`s gonna kill him if he sees him again, we can figure that he didn`t want to risk! :))
Alexandria, is next to DC in Virginia. Morgan also had the map to DC, and they are along the same highway. I used to live in Virginia and moved back to Oklahoma, that is only a day's drive with minimal stopping and no rest.
Walking dead Germany here me out. highest population(minus Russia) in Europe meaning largest hordes, badass language and accent, theirs only 20 guns per 100 people opposed to America’s 120 guns to 100 so competition will be even higher and more brutal, 30% of the country is forests so their is still places for new towns.
They should film in every single state, telling stories about the people of each state, and allowing the public to play zombies. Would be an awesome project.
I’d say Alexandria would be a little closer to Oceanside and for everything from twd to be moved more south of Virginia, the difference between hilltop and Alexandria shows less than an hours drive , overall it’s good tho but I’d spread more to southern virginia
@@Darktrik001 I agree, they definitely went way up north after the prison but it makes sense with the story, they stopped through the Atlanta hospital and then went around 100miles north for noah afterwards so that makes sense. Also I think the bomb from Fear the walking dead might be the reason for the group michonne runs into, a Nike would attract all the walkers for a thousand miles to it because of the sound
Alexandria is I think “supposed” to be up north but it’s actually in Georgia if you ever wanted to visit. If you go on Apple Maps type in Nic and Normans (Norman reedus’s restaurant) it’s really close and is right where they filmed the governors town too. I highly recommend if you live in the south.
I saw that on google maps. The surrounding area is so rural. Very unlike the real Alexandria, which is either full blown city or suburbs, and DC on the other side of the river.
@@Ray-yv7kn It would be sweet to see a walking dead series set in Europe with a group taking over a castle or something. Problem is, the high population density in many parts of Europe means a ton of walkers.
@@ianhampton3568 Yup, plus guns and ammo are not as readily available as in the USA so I don't like their chances. Our European pals are most likely history. Maybe there are survivors on the Islands. Malta ,Iceland ,Mallorca ,Corsica, Crete and the like might have made it. Not that interesting to watch though.
I'm not a big fan of the spinoff shows but the level of control Negan had is impressive and even more so when you look at a map like this. how many other cruel dictators are around the country
Hey. Just saw you took my map👀 i am glad you guys like it I messed up the grady memorial hospital... its actually the location of the harrison memorial hospital I accidentally switched up the names but the location should be accurate... I guess
or hawaii, even though it’s just a island & pretty predictable, i’d love to see how it’d fall since hawaii’s basically a whole military base within itself. i lived in kaneohe which is hella close to the headquarters, for 8 years. i’m curious lol.
Idk if you’ve ever played the last of us part 2 but that is an amazing representation of what it would probably look like 25-30 years after an apocalypse
This is amazing man.. holy damn edit: I love the TellTale Walking Dead series aswell and you including the locations on the map is also so damn impressive.. And the fact the TellTale series is connected to the show also is amazin..
@@TWDExplained Props also goes to you! This channel explained alot to me and confirmed alot of theories I had . And this map is just a huge bonus ! Much love man ! Also I realise Carver's base isn't too far from Nashville ..
Just finished Telltale's TWD 2 weeks ago and too see the location of the school, the train and macon, clem really went far and survived for a long time and the school where clem was last seen was pretty close to AMC's TWD area too.
At one point they were in South Carolina(in the show), very briefly though, there was a road sign when they were looking for the one characters family that was in the hospital with Beth in Atlanta. Afterwards they ended up Continuing north towards Washington DC/Alexandria.
This really makes me wonder as to why they went back and forth so much in the first five seasons. None of the starting characters really had a reason to stay in that area after the first season so you would expect them to pick a direction and move in said direction instead of going back and forth a bunch of times.
James play Survival Instict or go look the video of George, it's so important and it's a core of TWD AMC universe. As always thank you for your videos and effort!
Glad this video exists cause the map always confused me with where the communities are in relation to each other. When Carol left Alexandria, Morgan said she went east (due to the satellite outpost being west of Alexandria). That means the kingdom should be east of Alexandria but I’m pretty sure the show contradicts that at some point later.
imagine the saviors are still around and attacked ericsons school. could've made a war type thing working together with the delta for their and the schools benefit
This is pretty cool, but I already notice some issues. The map of Terminus that was along the rail lines placed it somewhere in middle Georgia near Macon, which would also put Gabriel's church down that way. The filming location for Terminus was just outside of downtown Atlanta so that may play a part in this location.
At the time I made the video - this was a work in progress. Follow the reddit link in the description to see if it's been updated. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, TWD stretches from Atlanta to Washington D.C. and yet when they are not in town every road looks like the same straight, two-lane stretch through a pine forest.
IDK about Atlanta, but I live in practically the same area in Virginia, and it's very much a lot of woods and two-lane roads everywhere even when going to Richmond. So that part is actually quite accurate, and when they were in Atlanta it was a lot more open and less crowded with trees. from what I could tell.
I remember when a town like 25-30 miles away(La Grange, Tx I think)from my town, was having a filming there and those 3 dots look like around there. Best believe I drove out there
I thought it was. But I think he said it was NEAR Michigan. Nobody really knew where it was exactly, just that it was up north. But if it was in Michigan then clementine would’ve had a hell of a walk to Virginia.
Eugene when he was taken "prisoner" by Negan and the Sanctuary upon arrival he's offered food, "anything you want", and he requests lobster. people always talk about how absurd of a choice he made like they were in Kansas but at the time I knew they were roughly in the northeast near the ocean. that bothered me. all they need is gasoline for generators or ice trucks
The location of Alexandria on the map is a little off. The map appears to put it on the Maryland side of the Potomac River when it should actually be on the other side in Virginia.
About telltale locations, I don't think the carver's base is THAT far from Parker's run because Clementine's group literally came WALKING in one day max.
1:06 Daryl said in S9 EP1 that it would soon take an entire day jus to travel to hilltop or the kingdom, this is because they were running low on fuel. Hope this helps! :)
In the TellTale Games they head to Michigan, trying to get to Wellington, there is a Wellington county in michigan, I live in Michigan, so I think there should be a spot on the map somewhere in Michigan, I know there is one, not too sure where lol
I also remember when the Commonwealth Soldiers was driving vehicles drawing away the Walkers we see one in the back of the Jeep and also we saw when the Guards at the Commonwealth Tower they climbed the Walls one of the Troopers sure got impact big time I can't remember everyone names that's with Mercer but the moment we see the Guard hit the switch opens the Gate to the Commonwealth I was like uh oh that's not good
I’m from VA and I’m pretty sure they’ve got the location of Alexandria wrong. They have it just outside of VA, in Maryland. While the suburb is made up the location is real. Also, I’m skeptical that Oceanside is that far south. Should be further up inside the Chesapeake bay for practicality’s sake. It would take days to get there by horse and cart. Getting from Alexandria to there takes at least 3 hours by car.
There’s also 2-3 transitory episodes of FTWD after coming back up North out of Mexico they state they are a few miles south of “Tyler” which is a little ways north of Corpus Christi on the Gulf coast.
The only thing I know for sure is this isn't a democracy anymore is season 2 episode 13 which is the finale and it pans out at the end that they are right next to the prison so definitely that map is wrong.
Having lived in Northern VA for 17 years now, I always thought that Alexandria in TWD was in an area that was no where near as built up as the real Alexandria. Hilltop's location is more plausible.
Grady Memorial Hospital should be right next to Atlanta since it is in Atlanta. I also think Terminus is north of Gabriel's church. I used to live in Atlanta for 14 years. A little FYI Atlanta use to be know as Terminus.
Wasn´t the Grady Memorial Hospital also literally in the middle of Atlanta!? On the map it is north of Gabriels church, which wouldn´t make sense in my opinion, as this is obviously more on the country side. Not sure about the rest, tho :D
Clementine's group really isn't far from Alexandria and Commonwealth. That's pretty cool if Robert ever did want to try something. (Obviously we know something is happening with Clementine later this year).
I love the brain of whoever made this map/location per series! I’m 1:43 in but need to give a 👍. (I’ll remember the name by the end!!!) 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟 Hope all is well and remains so!
you have Alexandria on the wrong side of the Potomac River. It should be in Virginia not Maryland. one thing that always bothered me is all the wooded area depicted around Alexandria. Alexandria is one big urban sprawl. There are NO wooded areas in Alexandria, with the exception of some small parks.
Juanita Sanchez was located in Pittsburgh in the comic. In the tv show's wiki entry for her, the city they first meet her in is said to be an "unspecified Mid-Atlantic" region city, an area that includes Pittsburgh. Next time I watch season 10, I'll have to pay more attention to the length of time it takes Eugene and co. to traverse the distance to her location; it would probably take several weeks even with horses to make that trip.
I heard what you said about the Commonwealth in West Virginia. Again, I'll have to pay attention next time I watch it. Pennsylvania is a commonwealth, and West Virginia is a state.
@@TWDExplained There's an annoying shard of WV that interposes itself between PA and OH, meaning it is possible to continue westward from Pittsburgh and still reach a WV destination (but I doubt that's what the showrunners have in mind). The city in the tv show is substantial. I'm not sure what city in WV is that big. On the other hand, if the Commonwealth was named for its location within a commonwealth {PA) rather than a state, I'm not sure there's anything west of Pittsburgh, yet still within Pennsylvania, that's large enough to be the Commonwealth shown in the comic.
