Graham Linehan is so talented that this could easily be a drama or something else; his fleshed out characters and scene building has so much range.

I'm American and I watched about the first 30 seconds of this and I was hooked. It's awesome and so funny.

This is hysterical. That father’s way of turning everything awkward for others is priceless.

Graham Linehan is a comic genius, it's such a shame that so many of his previous writing collaborators were so cowardly in not supporting him against the evil he has had to endure these last few years.

I love it. Bitter sweet mom,eccentric dad and son and gorgeous daughter. Good drama and I laughed a lot.

This is such a great show, why they didnt pick it up for more episodes, I'LL never know! I thought I was one of the few hoarding these episodes - glad to see them getting a chance to be seen!

It is a pity this got cancelled. If it was allowed to progress like Graham Linehan's other stuff (Father Ted, The IT Crowd) we might have gotten three excellent series. It is like a cross between the (Irish) Royle Family and Father Ted.

Brilliant. Why there was never another series is beyond me.

I realize that there are American sitcoms like this, but if I lived in a family like this...I would run away from home. Oh, wait, I did, but it took me until I was 18 to leave. Just like my mother, this mother doesn't know about "personal space" and NEVER hears her children when they say no.

No one tuned in to watch it I think like 100 people tuned in for the second episode it was on the same night mrs brown was on BBC or RTE so it was strangled from the word go. Its funny but in order to squeeze it in the BCC would of had to cancel Miranda , Eastenders, Mrs Browns Boys , or Casualty which it was not gonna do.

nobody watched it when it was released I think only 20 thousand tuned in, and they tried it on BBC and it also failed. you can't judge by the viewing figures because there worldwide. to cut a long story short the show was very cringe. and you can't say it wasn't given a chance because it was giving at least three chances.
