These short video's of Jocko with the music and special effects are great. Straight and to the point, with wisdom and motivation. They are part of my daily routine to "get after it". Bravo Zulu!
Whenever I feel weak, lazy like I just don’t have it today, I turn to these videos for motivation. I turn to these because they come from a man who has experienced real adversity and speak from a place of understanding. Thank you Jocko. And echo to for putting these together
I am on a treadmill. I have trained for 27 years, Covid closed the gym, I slacked, the body that had run 13 half marathons and three marathons, that worked out daily, stagnated. Now I am back on it. I just saw the alarm video, about the 18 seconds. I am pleased I came. Go Google my efforts, thanks for this video.
Looks like Mr. Charles has stepped up his editing skills. Very nice job. As hot and tired as I am right now it's clearly time to get on the path. Keep up the good work and thank you for all you do.
Excellent job Echo! You guys need your own superhero action movie and video game. Jocko, Echo, Leif, Tony E, and Tim Kennedy. Taking out bad guys wherever they are. I’d pay to see that.
Jocko and Echo, you’ve influenced my life beyond my imagination. It is at the end of the day, my choice….but your perspective that has influenced my thoughts and perceptions. Thank you for your work! 🤘😎🤘
Ernst Junger would say that man is free when they obey a higher law. When we do what we ought to do, especially when we dont feel like it. Its a path to greatness. Whether in the moral life or in skills. When an archer obeys all the rules to shooting an arrow, they hit the target. Its not just a matter of knowing what to do, but how to do it. Practice, practice, practice. Discipline and training. Conforming to the laws of archery and making it such a part of your nature (muscle memory), that you achieve uniformity to the laws of archery. This is greatness in all things. Learning all the laws of the nature of a thing, and conforming yourself to the higher law to achieve excellence. Lets go! Disipline is freedom. Not just an arbitrary discipline, but a discipline to a higher law of nature. An ought. It frees us from our weakness, and in this freedom there is peace and greatness. We must become Knights again. But the Knight knew the higher law he was conforming to and where he was cultivating his displine to. Do we? Are we going to keep the aim of our discipline to cleaning our bed, or to the stars?
