I’m 63 years old, was in the cult for 42 years. And true! Back in the 80s I became a JW and I truly believed but with the internet age, and having a cellphone on my hands everyday, I check on reviews, search for info, definitions, products, health info and I continue seeking (take for granted one opinion)! My children have awaken, my husband, my niece - a total of 7 out of 10 are fine with the cult because of research! We are not disgruntled, we are happy, we are individuals that respect eachother and the base is love - we have different opinions and respect eachother! The internet is the sewer of the world. We can see how Satan operates with over 30,000 religious denominations along with all the non-Christian religions each having differences in beliefs. There is only one God, one perfect religion and one perfect truth and opposed to that perfection are imperfect humans.
I graduated in 1983 and I freed myself from the Kingdom hall at age 19. But I did have to move out of the home. I just found your channel but there are many stories that I'm sure I could share with you. It's very fascinating that so many of us are not putting up with that lifestyle anymore.
The damage has been done even with all the changes. I think some of our parents are too ashamed to even look us in our faces after shunning us for so long. Especially the African American parents smh

My father is in the dark too after 71 yrs of deception. He is having a procedure done in the morning. I talked to him tonight and he said his trust was in the doctor and not Jesus. I am standing in the gap for him that God's healing and mercy falls upon him and that while he is sedated God reveals Hims3lf to him in Jesus name. Amen🙏🏾

OMG! Rod, this was deep and on point. Every single word that you said, was frankly the gospel/ the truth. I kept saying amen the whole video. I lived it just like you. Thankyou brother! These things need to be said out loud for others to hear if we’re conscientious people. I was a born in and watched my parents, who started out relatively young when indoctrinated , grow old and go to the grave having faith in what these snake oil salesmen had to sale, and now I’m watching my older siblings growing old as they travel the same route with the same inevitable unfulfilled expectations, ending as well. Rodney I wouldn't be surprised that the governing body will allow outside materials or off the script talks at the meetings just to appeal to the younger generation lol. I just stumbled across this channel and this discussion resonates with me. I was raised Lutheran and served four years in the Navy so I know better than to blame the Witnesses for my own decision to convert. All these channels that drone on and on year in and year out tire me out. I’ve been out for twenty five years after being a Witness from 1974-1999. It’s good to see a discussion about we can live our best live’s in the time we have remaining. I am very interested in astronomy, archeology, history and our hidden pre history. I am not religious but I am interested in the historical aspect of ancient religions writings. I enjoy the positive discussion with an ex-JW twist. I’ll be listening to future discussions.
It's already over for them. Turning up at my house uninvited, expecting me to drop everything I'm doing to talk about religion is NOT the way to do it. That's before you even get into how weird their cult is.
In the mid 1800s, the American culture felt that anything could be figured out. Millerism, Darbyism, etc, became the major movers in the upper Ohio Valley. JWs, Adventists, Mormons, Christadelphians, etc came about. No printed material, no need of printing. No printed material, no need for literature distribution. All the less as they behold the day drawing near.
My experience with the cult lasted 32 yrs, 25 as an Elder. Couldn't even attend a Work B without proof of being Vaccinated. Then one finds out there may have been some organizational dabbling in inoculation shares. Its a billion dollar business. All the time i was in, my Dad was trying to get me out. I left the Jehovah's Witness cult when I was 21, over 50 years ago ! To think I could have spent those years in such a misleading and dehumanising organisation... I still have an interest in the cults developments and speak quite regularly to JWs in the neighbourhood. I feel sorry for them, as their minds/ lives are victims of their controlling and abusive leadership. I am so pleased that many do " wake up " and are set free. Sure, the Internet as well as the utter incompetence of their leaders plays a part.
In Asia (Japan) too exjw had reported to authorities just a year ago that they had a rod discipline that still traumatized them. The response from the jw branch was EXCUSES! Imagine the so-called TRUTH is trying to run away😅
I realize (as double ex-JW, now 30 years out) that things are definitely changing. As you said. And I mean not only JWs - this is the minority. I mean the world as a whole. All has gone crazy somehow. See the news - I have not been "scared' or 'amazed' all my life - except since like a year or two. For the first time in all my life I really started to believe that the bible is true and being an honest and "simple Christian" is the correct way - and always was. Happy I am old now (like you).

They put the phone down because they are told to. The elders tell them to shut down if anyone is negative about the witnesses. This means walking away or putting the phone down. My mom does it as well.
They are still not allowed. If you believe that everyone outside the witnesses is influenced by the devil, even your own family, what chance have you got.
@coachrod333 WT had a music video recently released where the lyrics said something on the line of "I feed my faith, STARVE MY DOUBTS" This was in line with a JW wondering why higher education was discouraged. In the end she opted to give up on the prospect of higher education and go pioneering instead. JW's are now advised to put all their doubts aside and obey them. More brainwashing propaganda.
Christ's Truth doesn't change. So, true religion doesn't change to suit new generations and the "shifting of consciousness." Their resistance to this change, their refusal to go along with new morals and mores, is why Jesus told His followers that they would be persecuted.

Just observe some of the other X-J dub channels, they put Hyped up headlines and you watch the video and it has little to do with the headline they put at the top of the video. ( click bait ) At least your videos are on point !
Hahaha…I actually did cover quite a bit of what the headline said. It's changing time and lots of things will fall by the waste-side. I just work to balance things out and to stay solution oriented. Headline just reflects what's on peoples minds, but you are very correct with what people tend to respond to.

Sometimes, you do fight back, and you lose; I did not say “let him” do anything. In business, you need a focus and tenacity that you may not have when going through a lot of challenges. When you have a bunch of JWs working for you and you leave the JWs, that makes it a bit rough, while going through a divorce at the same time. Sometimes the universe has something else that is a true calling. If I still had that, I would not be here helping people. It's good to know when to let go.

Yes, for a while, but young ones are also exposed to many other influences as they grow. It impossible to almost completely insulate kids like they ones did. Also young simply have a different consciousness and are not as afaraid to question things. It's a different ballgame today, not just for JWs, for everyone.
Asking Ex-JWs and disfellowshipped ones back to the kingdom hall has nothing to do with desperation it has everything to do with the times we have left before Jehovah's day. In reality JWs have nothing to do with the recent call. If you all remember it is Jehovah's angels that are using God's people as the instrument by which the message is sent. (Revelation 14:6) And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, and he had everlasting good news to declare to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. The true God is making one last call to his lost sheep the same as he has in the past when He sent Jeremiah to the nation of Israel. Unfortunately, the Israelites did not listen and suffered disaster. Israels situation was recorded so we could learn by it and not make the same mistake.

Daniel chapter 2 describe what will happen in our future and Daniel 2:44 says God's kingdom will destroy all earthly kingdoms and establish one heavenly kingdom under Christ Jesus.
